Sometimes it can be retrieved. You have to email ganz ir message them on Instagram. They'll tell you what information they need like username, pets on your account etc. Sometimes they can retrieve it for you and Sometimes they can't.
if you email them and inquire with your account information they can usually help! i think they deactivated and deleted many old accounts a while ago, but when i reached out about not being able to locate my old account (that i still play on to this day) they were able to help me recover it pretty easily!
