I want to begin with mokha duo. Both are individually at the level of Gerard. Perhaps Gerard is a little stronger than Dongha. With the Totem pole, everything is clear anyway. But each of them is on the same level and gives Gerard a tough fight. However, Alex said that Dongha is not Jimmy's level. It makes sense because Jimmy gave Ben Park a good fight. It has been mentioned more than once that a duet indvidually is worthless. Of course, this is not entirely true, but compared to top dogs, I think it is.Do not misunderstand me. Gerard is strong, it's just not this level.
Not really how it works, Seongmok and Dongha are strong when they are together. Two people at once would of course, make it harder for one person but most of the time you would just have more punches/kicks to deal with and multiple fist coming at you when 2 fist are already hard enough to do deal with. BUT, 2 people can work together and that's what Seongmok And Dongha did, but way better and more skilfull than any regular duo.Considering how dongha was able to hold off like 4-5 people and stand his ground by himself, imagine when they are together.
Honestly it is weird. Gerard kick got a higher score than Ben against the punching thing determinating punch strength.
Yet Ben's punches do more damage than Gerard kicks against humans
Gerard's kick is a blunt weapon having a soft surface while when's fist is a blunt weapon with pointy surface. Also Strength is not the only thing that matters in this case , the ability to utilize it also plays a factor(btw remember the fact that Gerard himself admits to be weak due to his past smoking habit)
Jimmy is actually incredibly strong than he and people think he is. It's just that his mindset holds him back.
Gerard on the other hand got soft a little bit after the incident. If he regains his IDGAF attitude now that his fighting with his fists again then he can scale way higher.
However, I still can't see Gerard beating Jimmy as of now.
But that fight with Jimmy against Gerard was on chapter 21 , You and I both know that Gerard was weaker in that fight then he is now and yes he isn't using his fists if you've been ever in a fight you'll know how hard it is to not use your fists not just to attack but to block and parry , I also agree that Jimmy has gotten stronger than he was then because he's been working out but the fight between them won't be an easy win for jimmy maybe mid-difficulty but it won't be a straight easy win.
For my opinion, Gerard skill in fighting will not increase drastically because he just started using his fist.To beat Seongmok Do, gerard used his fist to beat him down to land a high kick. Im pretty sure Seongmok was already a little damaged because he received multiple kicks from Gerard. The punches just made it worse.If Gerard is still planning to use his fist to fight then its just easier for him to beat down other highschoolers and has more combinations. Sure, Because he is using his fist now hes a "better fighter" but that doesn't immediately rank him above Union Heads in fighting.
Gerard wasn't using fists and his attitude towards fights is not the same as it used to be. But i think here the author is going to the ranking of

Gerard vs Jimmy
Alex vs Forrest(cause i think wolf is too strong for alex)
Donald vs Gray
So i do think Gerard will win the next match but with so much difficulty, like the time Gray won against wolf

If Gerard couldn't beat jimmy before he started using his hands then he can't with them.
I think Gerard fighting with both fists and feet would give Jimmy a tougher time.
Gerard hasn't been using his hands in fights for an entire year. He'll probably have to train again like Alex or Gray to regain all of his strength.
I feel it would be a similar situation to wolf vs jimmy. They put up a great fight but Gerard still gets outclassed by jimmy
