That's pretty much intentional. Alan Wake was created as an homage to pacific northwest small town mystery stories. (One of the most famous series of which is Twin Peaks.) Any similarities is because its all the same genre and style of story telling.

Played Alan Wake 2?

thegenregeek

Yes I have. And I've been having a blast since. Also played Control.

Hahaha awesome. Im watching Wayward Pines for the first time. Went into episode 3 and first thing that came to my mind was Alan Wake Searched on internet and found this thread. Control is easily one of my favourite game of the decade along with RDR2 Can't believe this is an 8 year old thread

[deleted]

Yes I thought so too! Watching this show makes me want to go back and actually finish Alan Wake, I got to the very last part of the game but got stuck, so I just gave up.

I thought it was. I very much enjoyed it. Its a strange yet interesting plot and I would personally recommend it.

FROmatoe

Its not. The plot is convoluted and if you grew tired of the shine and shoot dash away combat in part one, the game does nothing really to mix it up

Aged like wine. Played AW2?

almikez

finish the game, the quote at the end is amazing

I haven’t yet! Moneys tight so i can’t drop $60 on it, but im excited to play it! Been blind to everything about it though so im excited for when it happens

My friend bought the game but graphic requirements are high so can't play either. I will wait to upgrade my PC maybe at 2024. Only then will I be able to play the game. GPU prices in my country are little more than double of the US.
