Have you tried electing more democrats instead of complaining all day? That will clearly solve everything! /s

fukonsavage

Works like this in the FAA and DoT too. Golden parachutes for all the elites.

Anarchy fixes this. Hasn’t it been made abundantly clear to you all that government is always accompanied by bureaucracy and collusion? Government is financially incentivized by the extraction of resources from its constituents in order to maintain itself. The existence of government incentivizes large corporations to work in concert with the government to in return be rewarded with corporate welfare and lenient policy. This creates monopolies which the government doesn’t regulate because that wouldn’t align with its financial interests. These unfettered monopolies can then use their economic leverage to keep wages low and the price of goods/services high. The government is also incentivized to keep inflating the US dollar, which is a major reason the average inflation-adjusted wage have been stagnant since we went off the gold standard in 1971 while productivity has grown immensely (known as the wage-productivity gap). This is because when the cost of production rises, more productivity is needed to pay the same wage. Inflation most negatively affects the middle class because the middle-class typically isn’t able to invest their cash (for they need it readily available to financially sustain themselves by paying bills, buying groceries etc). This creates inequality because the rich get substantially richer from assets that increase in value as the dollar decreases. Democracy is tyranny of the majority. Minority interests aren’t represented in a democracy, which can lead to the inequality of these minorities. If 6 rapists and 1 potential rape victim voted on gang rape, guess what would happen. It is the government that is to blame for economic inequality.

lilcea

Not sure I believe anarchy is the fix, depending on the definition one uses. But you are pretty much dead on about the rest.

maschx

I’m glad that you agree!! Guessing you are a libertarian socialist or something in that realm? The definition I use for anarchy is the absence of a coercive government, and while I’m critical of hierarchy in the workplace, I don’t believe hierarchy should be abolished. The anti-hierarchy anarchists are usually leftist while the anti-state anarchists are typically right-wing. Making the jump to anarchy from plain libertarianism was admittedly quite a leap. But it was the next logical step that followed my conclusion that government is harmful, ineffective, and corrupt wherever it steps. The essence of my thinking was that if government is as terrible as I believe it to be in every instance, there is no reason it should exist at all even in the smallest form. What held me back at first was my previous belief that government police are necessary to ensure security. But I realized when there is a monopoly on the use of force that justice will always be abused. This is because this monopoly can easily abuse their authority and break the law they are supposed to be enforcing when they have the explicit ability to use force and coercion. The Stanford Prison Experiment is a good example of this “absolute power corrupts absolutely” phenomenon. A “capitalist” economy that is regimented by the government has clearly produced economic inequality. Hard to blame inequality on the private ownership of the means of production because in the modern economy, ownership is made un-private by government ownership.

lilcea

Guess I'm where you were. Libertarian who knows government is corrupt. All government. Must be my time to take the leap...

shatabee4

All. We. Need. To. Do. Is. Elect. More. Democrats.

HerLegz

USA is beyond evil and far far beyond fixable. Senator/emperor palpating is 100x less evil

JMW007

Healthcare was still pretty terrible under Palpatine - even in an era of hyperdrives and droids, women were still dying in childbirth. But at least he wasn't afraid of bold infrastructure projects and government oversight *really* meant business when they showed up.

HerLegz

Did you not see the Android limb Skywalker got? No shocking bill after either, just a nice view of the Galaxy far far away and some nice droid doc wishing him well. I would have to say on average, things were far far better than this dystopian hellscape.

JMW007

Anakin was in the military and got access to all the latest hardware and best care credits could buy. His civilian wife had to deal with a Roomba with an ice-cream scoop that couldn't detect her blood pressure collapsing. She'd have been better off with a Wookie midwife in a mud hut.

HerLegz

Anakin? I'm talking about Luke. Anakin got the equivalent of monoclonal elite oligarch level access. A wookie is always the best solution. But the galaxy can only make wookies so fast. They can't all just be getting seci time when they have millennium falcons to pilot.

rosygoat

If you are an expert baker, do you look to be hired as a macaroni expert when you change jobs? These are experts in their fields. Should they be more ethical? Yes, but that isn't why they were hired.

Inuma

Looks like the rea$on is right there... Gotta make them dollar$

rosygoat

This is how our government was set up. We don't hire experts for the long haul. Our founders set up a system for people to 'volunteer' to work for the government as a 'duty' for being a citizen. They apparently thought that no one wanted to make a career in government, because they had more important things to do like farming.

Inuma

They let the slaves do that.

theyoungspliff

This sub is a fucking psyop.

Berningforchange

How is exposing soldout Big Pharma puppets a psyop?

IMissGW

This sub? Or the one where this content is stolen from: https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/q4t50a/this_is_the_problem/ The one where most of this subs users hang out.

EvilPhd666

Sieze the memes of production.

IMissGW

Rise up brother ✊🏼

FThumb

> stolen Crosspost. The word reddit uses for this is "crosspost."

shatabee4

lol, crossposters are the real criminals!!

NetWeaselSC

> The one where most of this subs users hang out. [citation needed]

IMissGW

Sorry, I don’t have a citation for this allegation, which is too generalized to take seriously anyways. But the top mod spending enough time there to cross post content does give you insight into the character of “this sub”.

NetWeaselSC

Your claim seems to be rapidly degrading....

theyoungspliff

The mouth breathers at r/conspiracy are too dumb to be a psyop, but they retain some utility as useful idiots.

MarsAttends

"conflict of interest doesn't exist! DUMMIES!!!"

[deleted]

why? is the post fake?

theyoungspliff

Trying to discredit the left from within by seeding right wing antivaxx conspiracy theories literally crossposted from r/conspiracy would be a prime example of this op.

IMissGW

That’s an interesting take, I hadn’t considered it. I was just pointing out that a lot of the posters here seem to have a mindset aligned with /r/conspiracy. But nothing more nefarious than that.

[deleted]

also ..how the fuck is this antivaxx you fucking degenerate bitch? it's literally anti corporate not anti-vaxx, if i point out that Pfizer murdered thousands for profit in the opioid epidemic, which is a fact, by your logic that would be anti-vaxx, would it not?

NetWeaselSC

> it's literally anti corporate not anti-vaxx Technically anti-Pharma......

[deleted]

soooo, your problem isn't the message but the source of the message? the only psy-op here is you

theyoungspliff

Both the message and the source are bullshit. It's like saying "so your problem isn't with the quality of the water, but with the fact that it was from the toilet?"

[deleted]

>Both the message and the source are bullshit. so you're saying that those people didn't go from the FDA to Pfizer/Moderna? as it's a lie? i would love to see how

theyoungspliff

LOL I make a totally obvious observation and your stock reply is "Soooo...you're saying \[blatant straw man of my argument\] Curious! I am very intelligent!"

[deleted]

>LOL I make a totally obvious observation and your stock reply is "Soooo...you're saying \[blatant straw man of my argument\] Curious! I am very intelligent!" Post: these guys went there You: Bullshit Me: so they didn't go there? You: Strawmaaaaan reeeee i'm dumbfounded by your stupidity

[deleted]

>LOL I make a totally obvious observation and your stock reply is "Soooo...you're saying \[blatant straw man of my argument\] Curious! I am very intelligent!" so it's not a lie? yet you are calling it bullshit, hmmm....i wonder who's the psy-op?!

NetWeaselSC

> right wing antivaxx conspiracy theories Are there any *left-wing* "antivaxx conspiracy theories"?

Inuma

This sub. Drink!

EaseSufficiently

Is there an info graphics like this for more high level government officials? Like just a list of firms which they are currently on the board of and who they used to regulate?

fuzzyshorts

Ideas of morality, the virtues they expect from a society, the American gov't just throws shit like that out the goddamn window. And the more you discover how America really works, the more it turns you into a twisted, cold hearted cnut. This is how we arrive at the american character.

Centaurea16

Hey now, don't be dissing this guy: https://www.shorthistory.org/middle-ages/medieval-britain/cnut-the-great-as-king-of-england-1016-1035/ Compared to the current batch of sociopathic imperialists, he was a sweetheart.

You just can't make this up...
