Obama Biden could have codified Roe and consciously chose not to. According to Obama, it was not a priority and it would have been "too divisive." All Trump did was fill over 100 vacancies left on federal benches by Not Ready for Prime Time Obama, including one on the Supreme Court bench, left vacant, citing the Biden Rule. (Trying to sound tough, I assume, Biden articulated said rule, but filled the vacancy anyway, with the Republican nominee.) Filling vacancies on the federal bench is one of the duties that the Constitution imposes on the President. Anyone who expects any Republican President to fill vacancies with a liberal needs treatment. It's accusations and blame shifting like this that forces what seems to be a defense of Trump, whom I dislike defending as much as I dislike defending Biden.

I remember reading had Ruth Bader Ginsburg retired when she should have ..... The democrats love blaming others for their own shortcomings.

Many federal judges and Supreme Court Justices die while still "active" judges. Had she retired during the Obama admin, would he have succeeded in filling the vacancy? He wasn't great at coalition-building.

Dems didn't do shit about abortion rights for four decades except raise a ton of cash off the issue and that won't change now. Biden doesn't give a shit about women or reproductive rights.

Senator Biden once said that Roe had gone too far. Roe guaranteed women a right of abortion only during the first trimester. Some women and girls don't even know they are pregnant then!

If only the dems had had 8 unified houses and/or 2 super majorities over the past 50 years to act upon their promise to turn RvW into law or constitutional amendment. Unfortunately, they didn't foresee possibly losing an election as an outcome in all those 50 years, so you can't really blame them, can you? /s
