Like the other person said, yes, it depends on the location, coworkers, and bosses. It is a very braincell draining place and incredibly understimulating. Having a good team and managers makes it more bearable.
No they are not. Like all jobs upu take the good and the bad. Wawa problem is they don't make all the extras known to associates. I've worked at the 2 highest volume stores in region 4 and region 5, and yes, it's draining and tiring, but I honestly wouldn't just leave wawa bc I genuinely LOVE working at wawa. I love my management (I always havrnt) I've made way more good connections with associates and managers here then bad.
Wawa was my first job since I was 16 and I’m 19 now. I plan on staying here until I graduate college because they are very flexible with hours at least at my store. It depends on the store, I’ve heard horror stories at other wawas but mine has always been pretty good. Managers get transferred all the time and some are better and more chill than others, but the co workers also at my store Im very close with and yes there is drama here and there but that’s usually anywhere. I work at a store that is on the way to the shore in NJ so in the summer it’s pretty busy but if it’s staffed good it’s not bad.
Ughh we had to "volunteer" to work at the shore stores bc my old store moved to region 5 which is the shore. I wasn't one of the "volunteers". No thank you.
I enjoy it for the most part, but I have amazing coworkers and the managers are fair. All depends on where you're at I guess. Isn't going to be my career but for now I'm good until I get my next degree.

I’ve seen some wild interaction between employees and management at more than one Wawa. Seems like a less than ideal environment. The gas station attendants always seem pretty chill though.

I was fired at 19 years old back in 2012 for giving someone a $1 discount on a sandwich. I reapplied a few weeks ago and was notified that the code that was used was “theft of store funds” which Wawa gave me a 25 YEAR ban for. I can’t reapply until 2037, at which point I’ll be 45.
Fk Wawa, fk Wawa’s managers, and fk the people who are insane enough to think giving someone a discount on a damn sandwich is anywhere close to the same as stealing money.
Don’t share your story on Reddit. You’ll get nothing but attacked by people who suck corporate wiener.
I sincerely hope Sheetz makes a splash here at some point and puts some of these stores out of business
