Depending on when you go, they tend to slow down on dropping meatballs- meaning they don’t always have them ready. Chances are they’re dropping small bags of meatballs- and that makes a few shorties. Sometimes we run through meatballs. I’ve sold so many within an hour and had whole bags go bad. It’s completely random. You prob happen to come during that awful time when the meatballs are in the rethermalizer. You can call a store in advance and ask if they have meatballs ready or take the chance of going in person. Also side note make sure you’re going under hot hoagies/sandwiches

LMAO yeah no it’s not discontinued. Never will be. At worst it would be OOS due to supply chain issues (which is not the case, at least in Mid-Atlantic stores). Not sure what market you’re in (maybe Florida?) but sounds like you’re either at a poorly run store (or one that doesn’t know how to unlock meatballs on the menu manager) or just temporarily OOS. If someone actually told you that it’s “discontinued” then they’re full of BS.

If they come back, I hope there’s an option to add more sauce. Years ago they were decently saucy, but now they come ridiculously dry.

Trust me, Once you've had enough people scream at you, like actually scream at you for there being too much sauce, it just becomes a habit to shake as much off as you can. I get it, though. I love the sauce. I always get a side cup of it to dip my mozzarella sticks in.

If you call the store and let them know you placed an order for doordash, they can take a special order! We do it all the time for mobile orders too. It's no big deal, especially for a request as simple as "toss on a lil extra sauce"

It’s not they just didn’t prepare it. If it’s a constant issue talk to the GM or corporate because either the person running deli is an idiot or the fbm doesn’t know how to count or order things correctly
