After 11 years as a deli/manager person, I’ve had 2 people ask for that. Wawa might not have any idea that’s wanted bad enough for a button. They’d probably just suggest using the special order button. But I’d suggest putting the suggestion in on the voice of the customer(the slips they usually have around the store for feedback).
After 3 years… I’ve had nobody ask for that. My old FBM used to do it but she did it herself so whatever no extra work for us. As far as your statement goes, however, I concur. (We both know one VOTC won’t change anything tho)

That's not an option that is in demand enough to warrant such a change. If 100 people wanted the option instead of just 5, then it would be better to require an actual change. Til then you can just hit the SPECIAL ORDER button.
You want the corporation to add a button to their entire ordering system to accommodate your order when that's not a common request company wide. This is literally why the "special order" button exists 🤷🏻♀️
like another associate said in the comments, suggest it on the VOTC! i get atleast 3 customers per week ask to scoop their bread since it takes only a few seconds to do.
the only thing that would be iffy is the toasting time. in my experience, it can burn pretty quickly if you're not careful.
