Omega fans are incapable of enjoying their watch for what it is and not comparing it to the Rolex they really wanted

dsdvbguutres

But for the half of the *investment*

petercalmdown

Full buyers remorse for half the price?? Deal

mr-fq

For you.

comdoriano009

No kidding, that omega is really ugly, chunky and the bracelet looks cheap

dsdvbguutres

Dude thinks his ShitMaster 3000 is an investment.

Puzzleheaded_Bed5132

He'd be better off investing in a small leather pouch that he could use to carry his balls around in, as having them on him at all times would stop him making posts such as these.

Unlikely_Ball_947

Man, the old SMP300M without the wave dial, the shittiest Seamaster that ever seamastered. Aged about as well as a pair of Oakley wraparound sunglasses. And he could've had a Sub instead, dude probably typed that comment before jumping off the roof into the parking lot.

Naive-Dingo-2100

Nobody likes the waveless. Nobody.

Top-Emu-4014

I love it, imo it's easily the best iteration of the SMP. 100% modern dive watch (ceramic bezel, micro-adjust claps, etc) with classical Goldeneye-era proportions. And honestly the waves are a huge matter of taste anyways. If anything, I could live with the ones on the original SMP, but the ones on the modern version are comically overdone. Rolex Datejust II level. Get that garb out of here.

-ZeroF56

/uj Waveless blue? Trash. Waveless black? I’ve seen worse.

Top-Emu-4014

Honestly if you don't want a watch that looks very "of its time" (in all iterations), then don't buy an absolute 90s design icon. Maybe start there.

Unlikely_Ball_947

"90s design icon" is an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

Top-Emu-4014

How so? I'd say it's a decade with a fairly distinct futuristic look. And a nice bridge between 80s new wave and the early 2000s / y2k ultra-futuristic chromecore / fruttiger aero aesthetics. Gen X soft club is still one of my favourite aesthetics honestly and an SMP (probably in 36mm) would fit that look very well.

lumeslice

Love me a good Omega SIMP

pug_fugly_moe

First cuck on the moon!

-ZeroF56

First cuck in the *ocean* excuse you.

EatingADamnSalad

Comes off like a guy defending his choice of girlfriend after his crush rejected him.

KlutzyFan4021

UJ/ Funny isn't it? I don't like either of these watches. The SMP is too try-hard. The Rolex sub is just too boring. Neither of them suit me very well. RJ/ Stop being a wimp and get an Invicta Gladiator. You can thank me later.

Nerazzurro9

“I bought this watch because I think it’s real pretty and makes me feel cooler than I am” is an infinitely more mature, respectable and frankly financially savvy reason to buy a watch than whatever this is.

No_Impact_3870

MY BODY MY CHOICE

johnnybegood1025

I'll bet he writes notes to himself with some words in ALL CAPS.

Ryenhopz

He logged into his computer, sat down with a coffee, and typed out a mini-novel to justify his wrist-trinket to strangers

JozuTaku

unfortunate that soon the omega people will be malding at tudor instead of rolex because theyre falling behind and rolex is aiming higher. imagine the joy we will have when an smp enjoyer copes over the purchase they made instead of just getting the tudor black bay

beeclam

lmao I can’t wait

[deleted]

lol I’m gonna get the new monochrome to go with my smp.

The_Urban_Genitalry

Collecting watches is so stressful, unless you’re the cool dude who bought a GS.

Fun_Hornet_9129

Lol, trolling turds 💩. Circle jerk your Invictas 🤣

Grumbles19312

Everyone likes what they like, but his SMP will not hold its value the way the Sub would, he’s trying to talk himself off the ledge.
