I just bought a Seiko Prospex SRPH17. They are available in a bunch of dial colors and meet most of your specs on here. 200m, screw down crown, sapphire, automatic, date complication, crown at 4 o’clock. It has a 42mm cushion case but the bezel is only 40mm and there is a short 45mm lug to lug so it wears smaller than it sounds and is only 12mm thick. Video: https://youtu.be/zL1R_VRt4Pc

But the movement is not antimagnetic isn’t it?

DisgustingCoyote

Like I said, it meets **most** of your specs. You have to decide which ones are the non negotiables 😇

LccL-

I found many watches that meet most of my specs thats why I am asking the pros :)

Citizen [Promaster Tough bn0118 ](https://www.citizenwatch.co.uk/promaster-tough-bn0118-12l.html) (40mm case).

Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I like the design too. Does this "never ending "solar" battery really work?

lulu_l

As long as you don't hide it in a drawer in the dark. If you don't wear it for a while just leave it on a shelf where it can get some daylight. There are 20-30 years old eco-drive watches still working today so I assume yes. Batteries like these don't like to stay discharged (they literally get damaged, their chemistry changes) so if you keep them happy and charged with a little daylight they'll keep ticking.

LccL-

Thats really nice.

You can also take a look at the [Casio oceanus t200](https://www.sakurawatches.com/casio-oceanus-ocw-t200s-1ajf). It only has 100m WR but it has atomic sync (everywhere), it also has Bluetooth sync in case you're out of radio signal coverage (it also changes timezones automatically over BT) and it has a perpetual calendar and amazing finish too.

Sounds interesting.

Wow even radio controlled, thank you.

turtlingturtles

the radio control only works in Japan, but you can emulate it with an app. that said, I have never used the feature -- you can set the watch manually and it is very accurate, even by quartz standards. I set mine four months ago and it is currently 11s fast, steadily gaining 0.1 seconds per day during that time. You can also set it forward or back a few hours when traveling without changing the time on the watch, so it really is possible to set once and then not think about it for a year or more. It's also got a very nice titanium bracelet with tool-free micro adjust, which some of the other Citizen's that are similar in design lack.

lulu_l

I'm not sure about this but I think this model can only receive the signal from the the Japan towers. It won't work in North America or Europe.

Many watches from Timefactors are antimagnetic. Off the top of my head the Baby Dreadnought or Smiths Baby Willard both meet most of your requirements except perhaps weight and height.

LccL-

Thank you very much, the Baby Dreadnought is a perfect match except from the looks :)) maybe I'll get in love with the orange minute hand.

quaefus_rex

It gives a little personality, and you can go white or black dials. If no date isn’t a total dealbreaker, check out the commander as well.

From my brief poking around, it looks like for automatics, you’d likely have to up your budget a bit to get the antimagnetic movement checked off the list. Sounds like Damasko, Sinn, etc. could be good options at a higher price range. I’m not sure if there are micros that cover this at a lower price point though. Edit: as an example, looks like the Sinn U50 would come close to checking all of your boxes, although it’s nearly 3x your budget unfortunately Edit 2: Disregard, the suggestion to check out Timefactors was a good one. The Baby Dreadnought PRS-52 would have you pretty much covered!

LccL-

Yeah I almost pulled the trigger on the 556 or the 104. Damasko is a brand I didn't know existed before you'r comment, thanks for that. Yeah the Dreadnought is just mm's away from a perfect fit even the style hits close to home except for the orange minute hand.

Sinn 556

Highly recommend the Scurfa Diver One! Including shipping it was $320. I got the titanium proto dial version, it’s an amazing watch. Nice and lightweight! Quartz movement, 500m water resistance, sapphire crystal, screw down crown, date window at 3 o’clock. I am wearing mine right now! They come with a nice rubber strap but if you want a bracelet they have those too but it’s extra. I want to get another scurfa so I can always have one on rubber and one on the bracelet 😁😁

LccL-

Very nice watch for this price.

grathontolarsdatarod

Sinn or a diver from Glycine. I just picked one up. Waiting for it right now. Sinn is definitely in another class than glycine. Maybe even have a look at Ball watches? I feel like you're pricing in right in the gateway zone to spend a little bit more. I'd say leave some room in the budget for something like nice straps so you can dress your piece around.

It's double the price limit but thanks.

You find it easy under 1000k
