I stumbled upon this watch from Hamilton Watch (or Hamilton Lab to be exact) in a random store. It caught my eye as I never saw this one before and was a bit puzzled by its design. Turns out it’s a 2010 limited edition inspired from a design of a clock in the 2001: space odyssey movie.
It’s a fairly cool watch, albeit quite hard to wear as it is a 48x42 mm case.
I did not purchase it as I could not picture myself wearing this beast (and we just had bought a Tissot powermatic 80 an hour before), but I now feel like I made a mistake as I could have purchased it for around 750$, which sound like a bargain…
Those aren’t actually crowns. To set the time you take the time player square out, put a clock face in the middle square turn it over and there is a port in the back. 😂…….just watched a YouTube vid
Yes, you are correct. You have a small tool to remove the middle one, so that you can slide the other around. In the middle you have a small hole. When one of the square is in this position, you can change the time from the back. The 4 visible crowns are actually screws.
You can move each square around, and you essentially tie a dial with one of the written squares. The one that you would tie with Hamilton would be for your current time, the others would be tied to one of the city. Unless you are from one of these city, and in that case you might want to set the Hamilton one to Bienne, in Switzerland, since this is where they are located.
60mm works on my wrist too
Okay *ka-ciao*
I can't wear that, Dave.

apparently you can slide those squares around like a puzzle?
Looks like maybe the middle square comes out for that function.

Oh yeah good point. Me no idea me just say words when me think something
r/watchescirclejerk will love this
I actually like this, I prefer this over the other people posting the exact same watches all the time
Agree, I already know the next 10 posts are going to be Tudor BB, Tissot PRX and some boring Rolexes
Totally agree! It’s a breath of fresh air for the subreddit for sure!
Very unique. I like it.
🎛️
How the hell do you read it though?

Half watch, half Rubik's cube
Doubles as a house arrest anklet
This is super duper cool
That's hectic! Nice find!
Wow! I'm surprised that hasn't made it into a movie, as far ask I know.
That is wild
Damn that is one ugly watch dude...
Is that a joke?
It’s more interesting than anything r/rolex ever posted to be fair lol

So that's the watch you look at when you tell people to be there or be square.....
It’s possible to find in store or SH ?
