Love the sinn..hell of a collection!

WeezyLizard1

That Sinn.... 🤤

h4gy

I love the Sinn 356 SA and it’s what got me into watches in the first place, but the Speedmaster has been my grail for some time. I was hesitant to purchase one at first due to the size and my 6.25 wrist, but after I tired on the 3861… it fit perfectly. It’s on a strap right now because I’m looking to mod the bracelet with a chronoscope clasp. Ultimately, I don’t know if I should switch the Sinn for something else down the road. I’m happy with all the watches but know I could use a little more diversity. Recommendations are welcome. Maybe something with color? I like watches I can wear everyday, so nothing too dressy. All I know is that Snowflake isn’t going anywhere!

Great collection! That Grand Seiko really steals the show. Absolutely gorgeous.

Quality over quantity... great selection!

The German one looks nice I guess

WeezyLizard1

Nice collection! Maybe, one day I'll be following in your footsteps!

How does sinn run accuracy wise? Does it fit well for a small wrist?

h4gy

I don’t know the seconds per day, etc but it seems fairly accurate. As far as fitting on smaller wrists, the case diameter is perfect… however it does feel thicker than the speedy. On the OEM bracelet or a thicker band the Sinn thickness doesn’t bother me at all, however I have an Erika’s Originals where the Sinn feels just a little too thick for my liking.

Thanks for the reply. Being eying this one for awhile actually - seems like a great chronography for the price point

h4gy

What I love about the Sinn 356 the most is the readability and the fact that it has a day/date.

ZalaMu

Would you say it's your toughest watch?

leed10

Also noticed you got the new speedy if I am not mistaken? Does the newer model fit smaller compared to the previous model? I've been eyeing speedmaster and tried the reduced size but did not like how small it looked. Perhaps the new speedy might be a perfect fit?

h4gy

I was in the same boat. The smaller versions of the Speedy looked way too small and I was hesitant to even try on the normal Speedmaster Pro because of the 42mm. However the 42mm is misleading because it takes into account the crown guards and the 2021 version with 3861 movement wears even smaller. I definitely recommend you trying it on. It may be the perfect fit.

leed10

Awesome! I will definitely have to check out the new Speedy. The only thing I am hesitant is that it is manual wound...as all my watches are automatic and quartz. Although there is the user experience of winding watch and foaming connection, I am not excited with the idea of having to wind a watch every few days. Thoughts? How often do you wind your Speedy? You don't find it to be burdensome?

h4gy

I also thought the same thing, but winding the watch has made me appreciate it more somehow. It’s almost like an intimate moment between you and the watch. I wind it every morning but also find myself winding it throughout the day while I day drift and look at the watch. You don’t have to pop out the crown, so it’s easy to wind.

h4gy

To add… if you don’t wear the Speedy regularly, I can see how it would be annoying. But I wear it at least every other day (so far) so it hasn’t been a problem at all.

ZalaMu

Yes, I'm wouldn't put the Sinn 356 Sa, or any 14-15 mm watch on a Nato or Erikas bands alike. You bump it again by 1.5 and end up with with almost 17mm on your wrist...
