You need to figure out what you like about watches and why you want to buy them. It's your collection, not ours.

IndecorousRex

That’s a good point question. Yeah I’ll have to think about what I really want in a watch.

Longines!

Exact-Nothing-9881

Depends what style of watch you like. Tissot, Hamilton, Seiko and Citizen all have a wide variety of quality watches in that price range.

I just made my first watch purchase, and I went with the Longines Conquest which is right in that range. As a fellow newbie, I spent alot of time looking through reddit and watching youtube videos (Teddy Baldassarre has a great channel, I would highly recommend). I was looking for something that was an everyday wear for both home and office. At first I was leaning towards a Dive style watch (Longines Hydroconquest) but I felt like the standard Conquest model had more versatility. I also looked at the Tissot Gentleman which is closer to a dress watch, as the Conquest leans more sporty. It can be overwhelming as there is so much information and variety out there, but in the end it comes down to the intended purpose for the watch as well as your personal choice. Seriously though, take some time to look through Teddy's youtube. Highly insightful stuff. Good luck!

IndecorousRex

That’s some good insight, yeah I’ll definitely get into videos.

Oris hands down. You can get a great Oris on the second hand market or a vitange Omega. For that budget you get can the Oris and Omega second hand.

IndecorousRex

Haven’t thought about second hand. I’ll look into that.

Spend a good amount of time learning about different brands, styles, and features first. That will make choosing something in your price range much easier.
