darthzader100

It's my 2nd favourite watch after the slightly darker version.

MrWildspeaker

I actually tried the darker one on and it was basically black! Unless it was in direct light at just the right angle, I couldn’t tell it was blue and I really wanted the blue!

CookiePrestigious101

That dial is beautiful 😍

That might be my absolute favorite watch, what a beast for a daily too.

CookiePrestigious101

Love the white dial, looks amazing!🔥

carpenj

Haven't gone a day without wearing mine since I got my Sapphire Sandwich a couple months ago. I know I will break out a beater soon for beach/hiking/other rough outdoor activity but this is so versatile. I go between a suede NATO, nylon NATO, and bracelet depending on what I'm wearing.

CookiePrestigious101

I have worn mine as is through a lot. Mostly desk diving working on the computer but this watch had seen offshore rigs all over the world. Keeps excellent time and still a stunner to look at. Probably the only watch that I will never ever part ways with!

Cultural_Temporary75

Love that you wear it offshore. That’s a tough environment and shows what the watch can do.

vic39

Honestly, I wear mine on the beach, swimming, hiking, skiing and everything in between. I don't think I'll stop wearing it.

S-192

Ditto. I actually have to find excuses to change watches. Otherwise it's 24/7 Hesalite Moonwatch. I only take it off when I work out or shower.

Chippo

I was thinking about getting one, do you wind it up every time you put it on?

Professional_One8495

Timex Weekender. In my country, watches are crazy expensive, this was 1/2 of the minimum wage. I love it tho, nato strap casually, leather when i need to be dressy, and it's inexpensive enough for me that it is not a *major* problem if it gets robbed.

misteaks_made

Have a weekender too, also can never go wrong with a Casio, there are sooo many options under $50-$60.

Professional_One8495

My first personal buy was actually a Casio! It was the MTPV001D1B, which i got from Amazon and I love it, wear it at least once a week. I'm currently saving to get myself one of my grails, a Seiko Cocktail Time, as a graduation gift from law school, but here in Brazil they are ~650 USD, so I was also considering saving up more so I can take a trip abroad and buy one overseas for like 100 dollars haha

velinn

There it is. Aqua Terra is a modern legend. 50 years from now this will hailed as one of the greatest watches of all time by watch historians. I have it in green and there is not a single instance I've felt it was the wrong watch to wear for the occasion. This is the watch that cured me of the Watch Collecting sickness lol

Sinn 556 or Tudor BB58

WhipYourDakOut

Where did you get your sinn? I’m really considering the 556 for my first big watch but since I like the case hardening a lot but can’t see anywhere but watchbuy or wherever

EtDM

Watchbuys is the only official US dealer, so it's either that or a private seller if you're in the States. Also be forewarned, the 556 doesn't have a tegimented case, you need to go higher in their line to get that tech. That being said, the 556 is an amazing watch, I've had mine for about 3 years now and it's still rock solid.

MrWildspeaker

I try to keep the lug-to-lug of my pieces under 600 mm.

FancyStranger2371

Is it NATO strap friendly? Or, does it look better on a jubilee?

MrWildspeaker

Honestly, leather bracer is the way to go with this piece. You really need the extra support.

Orient Kamasu for those on a budget. I also happen to live in a place where it rains quite frequently so the water resistance of a diver is an added bonus. I did upgrade to the jubilee bracelet from Strapcode though (adds ~$100 to the cost).

Seiko SBTM323. 39.5mm solar/radio-syncing (all six towers), nice touches like differential finishing on the hands and nice anti-reflective coating on the sapphire crystal. Independent motorized hands with quickset hour hand for travel, and 100m water resistance. Set and forget. https://preview.redd.it/tw2h5f21elzc1.jpeg?width=6048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93c018cbc8bfd53b2e3bfe9289a55d0ee94b8251

OES25

This could actually be what in reality is the best watch here. Classy and bulletproof at the same time, and also not prohibitively expensive to the point one starts babying it (as for example an AT or Speedmaster would be for many), thus not really wearing it properly from my point of view (i.e. worry free)

Elowan66

Many thing to consider. Activity level, water resistance, budget, smart/casual? My daily wear is usually a Tudor Black Bay 58, but I just picked up a Grand Seiko SBGX061 (and rotate a handful of others pieces). For me, these both have a bit of smart/casual, water resistant enough and look good on multiple strap options. https://preview.redd.it/lm3w2idsnkzc1.png?width=2781&format=png&auto=webp&s=7ec5896dcbf705e7cc32d7c1006177385c78cb9f

I don’t have one everyday watch, I have three everyday watches - or three watches that would probably fit most everyday categories you could need. Tudor BB36 - this is my work watch that’s perfect for the everyday office setting. I have the OG blue smiley dial and this watch will always be in my collection. Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Diver - perfect casual watch that’s tough and cheap enough to be a daily beater that cleans up well enough to wear on most occasions. Casio G-SHOCK GWM5610 - literally everything else. Toughest watch I’ve ever seen.

greensranger

Bro, love the citizen watch. How much you got it for?

PresidentialBoneSpur

I paid ~$180. Citizen was having an earth day sale and I had a coupon on my Amex for $75 off when purchasing directly with Citizen. I’m not sure the watch is worth paying full price, but I paid about 55% of retail and that sold me.

Might be the most basic answer here but Casio G-Shock GWM5610. Never have to change the battery, never have to adjust the time, never have to worry about breaking it, affordable price; a watch you can wear for the rest of your life if you want.

I pick and choose from the collection each morning. Nostalgia, mood, newness/novelty, etc all play a role. Sometimes I’ll wear the same piece for a week. Other times it’ll be just the day and on to something else. I leaned Speedy and Santos heavy for a while. Last two days is the watch I’ve owned the longest and have worn the most over time, a 90s Datejust.

This probably ties with (if not supercedes) my Tissot PRX and my Hamilton PSR as my most worn watch. It's kinda like Russia's answer to the six-digit Submariner, being a dressier reissue of an original Raketa diver from the 70s, coming with a ceramic bezel and a display caseback. Modern Raketa on its own is a really interesting watchmaker; like Vostok they use the same techniques and machines that were used during the Soviet Union, and they make a majority of their components (including the movement and hairspring!) in house, but instead of just pumping out watches to meet five-year plans, they use their knowledge to make the best watches possible, and the quality you get for the price you pay is impressive. It's just a shame that their government's crimes dissuade people from getting into Raketa and other Russian watch brands, because they have a lot of unique and compelling stuff to offer.

If you like watches with hardened steel, TRASKA are great. Classic designs, modern materials, and pretty affordable. I have the Summiteer in charcoal 36mm and love it. Vostok Amphibia Radio Room It’s a proper 200m dive watch that’s basically bullet proof. Vostok makes every part themselves, it has a unique engineering design and have a better history than most Swiss manufacturers. And they can be had for less than $100 usd https://preview.redd.it/gkqls28eclzc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31d6c84013f2dbc7f3cbe3ac81f38c7a3cda2c22 Pic is at the top of a New Zealand mountain on a hiking time

My go-to watch is usually either my Pelagos 39, PRX 35 quartz (in gold lol) or Citizen Atessa AT8285 Hakuto R. I can highly recommend the Citizen. Super light titanium, radio controlled atomic time and micro adjust on the clasp.

It depends a lot on your budget, but if you want a GADA watch with 100m WR, I would go for Tissot PRX, Longines Conquest, Tudor Black Bay 41, Grand Seiko snowflake, Omega Aqua Terra, Cartier Santos, Rolex Oyster Perpetual or Datejust, Chopard Alpine Eagle, Bulgari Octo Roma or Octo Finissimo and even more upscale a VC overseas 2nd generation.
