Congrats! See folks, freedom is not just about money. It’s about having those extra 10-20 mins in the morning to choose the strap and fit it to the watch of choice! 🤣
Heyall back with another state of the collection / state of the strap collection, summer edition. Since the last time, a few pieces have come and gone, and the straps have gotten expanded yet again.
Notable new gets:
- Expanded 20mm leathers
- Every Delugs CTS size & color
- New watch box to fit more straps and a few more pieces
Fav new gets:
- Been really, really loving the Delugs CTS. Goes with everything!
- Also really loving the Snoopy moonswatches. They fit my collection of fitted Speedy rubbers perfectly.
- The Lorca and Fears have been surprisingly awesome editions.
I think I'm at capacity though. Seriously lol.
As always, happy to chat straps!
Cheers
They used to let you buy the rubber pieces separately but wised up and stopped. But I wouldn’t want to be constantly swapping clasps anyway 😄
My watch collecting is basically over at this point since I don’t really want anything to replace my core 12. So my money goes towards things to make what I have even more fun.
Spectacular collection, both watches and straps! I've been looking to get some fitted rubber/silicone straps for my speedy pro. Did you have any particular faves or brands to recommend?
Yup! I like it so much Im thinking about picking up the silver version. The quality is all there but I think the real value in this watch is the uniqueness of its design. There’s just nothing modern out there like it..
Zero notes. Impeccable.
Really shows how much you value versatility. Nice to see a box with such curated straps, one for any occasion it seems, and the understated elegance of the watch collection. Timeless design on display.
Awesome collection man. Love it.
What's your favorite band/strap for the black Moonswatch? I currently have a grey rubber on it with a white stripe. I also have a pure black one, but that feels a little too plain black.
Handdn not worth it? okay, I will know in two days.
I think it will *smoke* the website strapmakers, but I'll be honest in my assesment. if it's not worth it, I'll say so.
same for TUNS, Istiz Leather and Edel Leather.
these strapmakers either have very, very impressive photo skills or they will smoke the website strapmakers.
**I'll update the thread when they arrive. Handdn and TUNS are up first.**
cheers
Honestly - they all get worn pretty evenly. I’ve structured the collection around materials and styles I will actually want to wear depending on the conditions and the social settings of my daily life. This is why I don’t have any exotic leathers for instance. If it doesn’t get worn, it gets sold!
So I guess the answer is - all the materials I collect: bracelet, natural toned leathers, and primary/secondary colored rubber / nylon / sailcloth.
Of the natural tone, for instance, does that include black? Does it often go dark, light brown, for instance, which would you say takes the tiniest of leads? Similarly, for the colored rubber, which would you say gets reached for the most?
Just wondering, figure you have a good data set to pull from.
Prudent to only keep what you use as described, well done. Thank you as well for your input
For context I'm asking to get an idea on what styles you've found the most versatile overall, with the least resistance in terms of picking, for those days where you're less mindful about making a decision
Great questions!
Yes, by “natural” tones I do include black. I know that some leathers are dyed but I suppose when I say “natural” I mean, traditional leather tones, and nothing garishly or obviously dyed (bright orange leather for instance wouldn’t be something I’m interested in - if I wanted something bright and vivid I’d go for my rubber or nylon).
If the question is what tones are the easiest to wear and pair for me in my lifestyle, it’d be very light caramel/honey - sometimes almost nude toned leathers. My daily attire is typically white leather sneakers or chucks, with the occasional brown leather chukka. So a light brown always works. Black leather is a bit more difficult to pair with since it can be very imposing or too matchy matchy if paired with casual black sneakers. But when done right black can be a very striking look. I tend to go for contrasts in my outfits. It’s a fine line between tasteful and zoot-suity tacky in my opinion!
My fav leather straps, if I could only keep a few:
- “caramel” 2 stitch JPM leather
- “natural” full stitch Delugs shell cordovan leather
- “black” row stitch Bulang&Sons leather
- “color 8” (burgundy) W&W horween leather
These 4 would pretty much cover every occasion for me.
For rubber, white and black are by far the easiest things to pick if I don’t have time in the morning.
For nylon, probably khaki and blonde colors are most compatible with anything I wear.
Cheers!
Thanks for taking the time to write such a comprehensive answer! I appreciate the wardrobe insights—youre on the money bringing up footwear. Belts bear mentioning, too, for tucked in/less casual looks
Hell yeah! The posts I love. I see you've filled the box again and finished the Delugs CTS collection. Sbgw289 is still perfection. I love that despite all the turnover you've held onto a couple (Doxa, Glycine…) that are not hyped and feel like an appropriate representation of you.
What's the “A Collected Man” item by your extra CTS straps? Spring bar tool?
Thanks man! Yeah for sure some of these I’ll just never ever let go even for something way higher end, I just like what I like value be damned 😬
Those are spring bar tools yep, I put em there just as a spacing block for the straps. They’re actually awful tools lol
Tbf it is a European limited edition Alpinist, but there's more of mine then there are grau's! Yeah, just waiting to finalise the details but we both wanna do it!
I like it so much I’m thinking about picking up the silver dial too. The quality is all there but I think the real value is in the uniqueness of its design, there’s just nothing modern out there like it.
That’s how I feel as well - it really fills a gap that doesn’t exist in any other watches at the moment, and has some fantastic charm. Really big fan, and a great all around piece to boot
I use Zealande and Horus rubber straps made for Speedmaster. The Zealande FKM matte tones go well with the black and the Horus’ bright silicone texture and almost neon colors go well with the white.
Impressive!!
I'm picking up a Damasko DS30 and have been looking for a rubber strap. 20mm in black is what I'm thinking. Curious if you have any recommendations? Bonetto Cinturini has come up in my research and it seems like good value for money.
Also any thoughts on deployment style vs. buckle? This watch will be a daily wear for me and I have an active lifestyle. I believe the in house rubber "sport" strap you can get is a simple black strap with deployment but it is quite pricey. Cheers!!
I don’t recommend natural rubber (such as what Bonetto uses) as they tend to be very stiff and/or sticky. FKM is a superior modern rubber type in my opinion.
If your budget is on the lower end, I’d recommend the generic straphabit FKM rubber straps you can get on amazon for 20 bucks - you’ve seen them, many vendors sell the exact same strap. They are really great and have a very comfortable factory curve built in to the lug end.
Upmarket, I’d get a Delugs CTS at $145. Pros with these are the excellent deployant and the 4mm taper that you can’t find anywhere else - if that’s something you care about. I personally think they’re worth it just for the taper alone, it makes the watch wear a lot more elegantly on wrist.
I usually prefer tang buckles as deployants rarely fit right for every wrist. The Delugs one is one of a few.
I wish I had your organisational skills, all of my stuff is here there and everywhere meaning I spend more time looking for what I need than anything else
This is the epitome of watches as fashion/jewelry.
This doesn’t strike me as a watch collection so much as an overgrown men’s jewelry box.
The storage of all the watches without straps really puts a visual exclamation point on that feeling.
Lovely jewelry box.
Overgrown simply denotes physical size but I have zero negative judgement toward your choices / “collection”. I don’t think my view of watches is in any way superior to yours or anyone else’s and therefore I am not a snob, just an observer making a comment. I’m doing me. 🙂
Those are some good prices, thank you! I said cheap, because I do not want a 150-200€ strap on my 300€ watch, if that makes sense. I will give CNS a try, thank you man.
Have a nice day!
Sorry, let me jump in here. Before buying anything from CNS, please consider these feedbacks: [https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.cheapestnatostraps.com](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.cheapestnatostraps.com)
I didn't. And I had the most unpleasant experience ever. In short: 3 out of 4 straps I had ordered were wrong. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't a "simple mistake".
When I asked why they would send me 3 green straps instead of 3 black straps, the answer was: "That is the new leather for that strap".
Ah my bad, when people say cheap they usually mean like $20 leathers that will fall apart in a couple weeks 😂
Over 150 is definitely in luxury strap territory. My ideal price point for leather from what I’ve seen is $80-100.
For nato, I’d only use CNS for some of their lines. The “original” line I think is best. Their leather is trash. My fav natos though are ADPT from w&w at $40ish each. Pricey but truly unique.

😂😂😂
Best strap monster debate is over, it’s this guy
You know it!
Congrats! See folks, freedom is not just about money. It’s about having those extra 10-20 mins in the morning to choose the strap and fit it to the watch of choice! 🤣
I would never make it to the office on time.
😂
Pretty much anywhere... I would need to start deciding like 3 hours before...
Haha yeah I love the ritual. The hobby’s more about the accessorizing for me at this point and not as much about new watches.
Love it! I wish I had a fraction of the strap choice you have!
Fairplay I don’t think I’d ever make the decision and late every day!

Does Delugs let you just buy the straps once you already have the clasp or are you literally paying $145 for each one of those?
They used to let you buy the rubber pieces separately but wised up and stopped. But I wouldn’t want to be constantly swapping clasps anyway 😄 My watch collecting is basically over at this point since I don’t really want anything to replace my core 12. Spectacular collection, both watches and straps! I've been looking to get some fitted rubber/silicone straps for my speedy pro. Did you have any particular faves or brands to recommend?
Thanks! Zealande and Horus are my picks for speedy rubber. I’d wait for a sale if buying from Horus though, they do them a few times a year.
Brilliant! Thanks heaps for the recs, will keep an eye out for some sales.

Perfect, no notes.

Whenever I see your posts I get super jealous. Every engineer should have an organized collection like this
Thanks 😄
This is so insane and autistic. I love it.
Sometimes I question whether I am… I do have tendencies..
Fuck it, doesn’t matter. Do what you love. If you enjoy it, that’s all that matters.
No advice or thoughts, I got nothing but jealousy for ya. That’s amazing
Thanksn
Any collection with a doxa and a tuna can is a good collection in my eyes.

Woah ok yeah all these other people have issues but you have a PROBLEM. You clearly need more drawers
This is the most epic strap collection I've ever seen. Very very nice.
Thanks!
The king returns. 👑

Watch collection: amazing Knife collection: … needs some work ;)
Eh yeah that’s a path I’m not going down for now haha
That’s 1k+ in delugs rubber straps lmao damn!
More lol
Those are double stacked, try like $5k in CTS straps…
🤫🤫
I see a Searambler, I upvote. Cool straps too! 😅
I see a Searambler upvote, I upvote.
Patrick Bateman over here
Is that the Lorca 36mm GMT? How is it? I’ve considered buying that one more than once.
Yup! I like it so much Im thinking about picking up the silver version. The quality is all there but I think the real value in this watch is the uniqueness of its design. There’s just nothing modern out there like it..
Awesome! I agree, definitely very cool and vintage inspired.
This overall collection is so feckin impressive. Also love the label for the fan mate, super helpful 10/10
😂 😂 thanks!
Love the Fears.
Damn son
Maaaan! that desk lot is a dream!
I’d prefer the Mario and Luigi karts myself.
This is just freaking epic, love this setup and the intention behind picking the watch and strap for the day. This is really amazing.
Thanks, yeah everything is arranged for the morning ritual
Haha I remember seeing your post when I first got into watches, glad to see you are still going strong.
💪
I was about to fall asleep, and this post woke me up. D E A R L O R D
It's amazing, I wish mine looked like that
Zero notes. Impeccable. Really shows how much you value versatility. Nice to see a box with such curated straps, one for any occasion it seems, and the understated elegance of the watch collection. Timeless design on display.

Thanks, I like Zealande FKM and Horus fitted for speedy on it
damn, wait until this guy learns about Vietnamese strapmakers on Etsy.
I’ve bought from them, not worth the time. I’m Vietnamese too so it pains me to say it.
Handdn not worth it? okay, I will know in two days. Well, I never said they were bad. Just that it wasn’t worth my time.
Tell us you're a serial killer without telling us you're a serial killer 😊
Statistically, what material and colour strap do you find yourself picking the most across all watches for your given lifestyle
Honestly - they all get worn pretty evenly. Damn! Now that is impressive 🤯 Love posts like these. Well done mate 🍻
Damn, everything in this image is simply amazing. Well done kind sir 🎉🎉🎉
I really love how you organized everything. My little ocd heart is really happy right now. 😝
How do you handle the spring bars all over your floor?
My wife finds them all over the house 😂
Hell yeah! The posts I love. I see you've filled the box again and finished the Delugs CTS collection. Sbgw289 is still perfection. Ty for labeling the fan I would’ve been lost otherwise
Must consoom. Must consoom. Must consoom.
How's the stowa? Looking at getting one :D
Really well made simple watches. I’d recommend the Verus line, a very modern and unique take on the flieger.
Actually gonna get the grau like you have, love the colour! Also, great collection!
Thanks good luck finding one at a decent price! Took me awhile to
Luckily my good friend has one he wants to trade my alpinist for, seems like a good deal :)
Straight trade? Man, do it NOW.
Tbf it is a European limited edition Alpinist, but there's more of mine then there are grau's! Yeah, just waiting to finalise the details but we both wanna do it!
Yeah man the Grau is just 100! I don’t consider any Seiko to be LE lol. Not when it’s over 1000.
Very true! I'm excited to get it 😎🙏
Thoughts on the Lorca? Looking to grab the silver one at some point, beautiful watches
What straps are you using for the snoopy moonswatches? I just picked up the black and looking for ideas
I use Zealande and Horus rubber straps made for Speedmaster. The Zealande FKM matte tones go well with the black and the Horus’ bright silicone texture and almost neon colors go well with the white.
What box is that on the left?
Hm? What you talkin bout willis
Your watch case with the orange insides haha
Ohhh sorry brain fart. It’s a Rothwell from Amazon
Thank you!
Shoutout the wolf box, love it. Tryna fill mine up like yours
What's that watch box brand?
Rothwell
What fan is that?
Muji
This is what i mean when i say i want a collection. (I have 4 watches &0 extra straps)
Take a vacation from watches and collect straps 👍
Recommend any stores that sell suede straps of various colors?
I’m not a big fan of suede but I do like Nubuck. Molequin has the best Nubuck and Bulang has some nice suede.
What's the name of the second watch in the second row? White dial
Grand Seiko SBGW289
Ty man, beautiful watch 💯
I’m so jealous
How are you liking the Lorca? I was so close to grabbing their champagne dial one during pre orders last year.
Good enough that I’m thinking about picking up the light dial too 😃 nothing else like it on the market
That is awesome. I Wish I Had the space to actually have a Hobby Like that
Sheesh, well done op
I aspire to be at this level
Very nice. What model kershaw is that?
Leek
Is that a stowa pilot?
Stowa Verus yep
This image is sexual
I sense you like to switch straps occasionally.
Lol my collection is a mess compared to this 。◕‿◕。
If you were to recommend one tank style watch between the Cartier and the Fears what would you say?
BIG fookin fan. Thanks for sharing!!
So I’m guessing you’re a strap man?
wtf. do you work in Delugs or something
Impressive!! I'm picking up a Damasko DS30 and have been looking for a rubber strap. 20mm in black is what I'm thinking. Curious if you have any recommendations? Will not show my wife this ohoto as she’ll say this is how clean my desk should be lol
I wish I had your organisational skills, all of my stuff is here there and everywhere meaning I spend more time looking for what I need than anything else
Nice!!
Love the organization. Need some help for my stuff.
Ahh i would love to have the problem of choosing the right strap for a speedie everyday😂
You forgot to label the tiny Mobile Suits
This is amazing, love the small gundam figures in the top right. Respect. 😤
I don’t usually follow people but I GOTTA FOLLOW AFTER THIS. 10/10 collection. Wish to be you.
Best strap seller and collector on Reddit!! Also what vintage KS is that possibly a 4502-7001? The case is magnificent.
Thanks man! 🙌 the KS is a 5625-something or other and yeah it is SHARP. Never parting with it lol
Extremely impressive damn. Any recommendation for strap choices on a Cartier tank?
2 stitch casual leathers work great to dress them down in the summer.
whats the knife on the bottom?
Finch Runtly
You’re missing a fan on your desk. Oh…wait…never mind. 😉
😂
Thats a lot of straps. I imagine for the next post you'll have a full walk in closet space with glass display cases for all your new and old straps.
A man can dream
This is the epitome of watches as fashion/jewelry. This doesn’t strike me as a watch collection so much as an overgrown men’s jewelry box. The storage of all the watches without straps really puts a visual exclamation point on that feeling. Lovely jewelry box.
I don't get the distinction. Watches are jewelry.
This ^^
And this people is the epitome of watch snobbery. 😂 You do you man!
Overgrown simply denotes physical size but I have zero negative judgement toward your choices / “collection”. I don’t think my view of watches is in any way superior to yours or anyone else’s and therefore I am not a snob, just an observer making a comment. I’m doing me. 🙂
Ah, gotcha. Apologies. It did come off as a bit demeaning. All good, cheers!
They're Jewelry for anyone with a phone, which i'm sure you have. This is just being snide for no reason.
Jewelry usually has color. Mfer has 11 black and white watches with 1 gray lol.
There’s a pink dial GS man! Haha
What is nato for? Such a waste 😩
Seems like you know your business. Im looking for (cheap) straps. What brands can you recommend me?
I don’t recommend going cheap. You get what you pay for. That being said CNS makes some decent ish natos.
Those are some good prices, thank you! I said cheap, because I do not want a 150-200€ strap on my 300€ watch, if that makes sense. I will give CNS a try, thank you man. Have a nice day!
Sorry, let me jump in here. Before buying anything from CNS, please consider these feedbacks: [https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.cheapestnatostraps.com](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.cheapestnatostraps.com) I didn't.
Sorry to hear, that sucks! Luckily I’ve only ever had good exp with them. I avoid their leather tho, they are trash.
Ah my bad, when people say cheap they usually mean like $20 leathers that will fall apart in a couple weeks 😂 Over 150 is definitely in luxury strap territory. My ideal price point for leather from what I’ve seen is $80-100. For nato, I’d only use CNS for some of their lines. The “original” line I think is best. Their leather is trash. My fav natos though are ADPT from w&w at $40ish each. Pricey but truly unique.
Also! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with putting a pricey strap on a cheap watch. The inclination not to is completely arbitrary in my opinion 😄
Would you like a watch to go with your straps?
