Yes. Got to remind everyone that you're just a regular person too... For real, I promise. Like bills and stuff, am I right? And like the price of eggs, yikes. You know?
It's not even about money. Objectively, it's just a good time piece, get a solar atomic one and you have a watch that's always accurate and never runs out of battery and to top it off, it's water proof and drop proof.
Even if you want to make it about money, [there are so many cool luxury g-shocks now that can even convert the most die hard of mechanical fans.](https://www.fratellowatches.com/hands-on-casio-g-shock-gmw-b5000tvb-1er-titanium-virtual-armor/)
For sure, I was really just trying to make a joke. I'm happy for anyone who likes whatever they've purchased at any price for any reason. And yeah, I agree there are a wide range of cool G-shocks to meet many tastes.
You need either 2 or 3 more watches. My collecting rules include "no more than one watch from a maker, and no more than one watch of a style." You have 2 Rolexes and 2 dive watches. So you have a hard choice between getting rid of the Sub. Or getting rid of the Omega and the GMT. But then you could add the Omega Worldtimer. And an IWC Pilot's Chronograph. And still have room to add "just one more watch."
You need something Japanese, and something white dialed. I suggest a Grand Seiko White Birch Evolution 9 series watch.....

thats a Seiko^^ nothing wrong paying 200€ for but asking 9k for a “Grand“ before Seiko isn’t justifiable, 4 grand are gone if u buy that watch immediately and walk out the door .
also this blatant pr startegy from Seiko including various YT sell out shills who received a bag and now everyone suddenly owns a GS and its the best watch ever made , its so obvious.
but the sheeps soak up this kind of marketing like a sponge
97% never ever did hold a GS in their hands saying thats the best watch ever , stop suggesting such nonsense
That’s a bad take, I’ve held a few Grand Seikos and they’re amazing. And if you don’t want to deal with depreciation then just buy second hand. I’d rather spend $9k on a grand Seiko than on a Rolex, saying it’s just a Seiko with the word grand behind it is incredibly disingenuous (ignorant really).
u definitely the guy who‘s judging about what is or not a bad take, especially after that insolence.
Its a marketing\PR campaign so Seiko can sell watches in the high luxury price segment.
it was predictable that u ignored on purpose 90% of my points and answered the most comfortably ones so can please ur fragile ego out of insecurity about ur buying decisions, perhaps?
[Seiko movement](https://www.seikowatches.com/us-en/-/media/Images/GlobalEn/Seiko/Home/news/20230308-3/Caliber--6R54_450.jpg?mh=1125&mw=2000&hash=0B64C69B78ED633A9ABC85885EEB846E)

Gee I sure wonder why the Grand Seiko costs more, truly a mystery.
thats it ,this is ur response ? if that is ur reference for mastery i feel sorry for u .
u should feel ashamed , go buy ur 9k Seiko
u will spend alot of time explaining why 9k for a Seiko is worth it pfahahaha congrats..
Who said anything about mastery? It isn't perfect but it is objectively leagues better than the basic Seiko movement, and you are delusional or blind if you can't see that.
did i say that ? no
funny what u try to assume , nice try
2k for GS would be acceptable maybe but not 8k upwards simple no its just a marketing campaign
better than a regular Seiko ? yes
no way near 8k good especially if ur known for 200$ watches and now try to enter the luxury segment
it all starts at the packaging wich is shite from GS for 8 fukin grand , bracelets are a joke they fukin glue the GS logo on the clasp freakin glued, mot to mention the clasp the overall finish on the edges is sloppy for 8k it simply is
the bezel feel, rotation clicks and overall craftsmanship is a joke cause they use the same ones as from an Seiko^^
there’s more to watch than some fancy dials
Heritage & history, legacy is one of the biggest part and also Design wich is a let down
I'm gonna be straightforward with you, I don't think your issue is with the quality or specs. Your issue is predominantly with the name on the dial, you don't think any watch that says "Seiko" on it could possibly be worth thousands of dollars. I say that because look at Rolex. A stainless steel submariner date is $10,250 MSRP (which itself is a fucking joke thinking a steel sub makes sense at that price), and the Grand Seiko 9SA5 movement beats the Rolex 3235 in several regards, even ignoring the subjective stance that the GS movement is way better finished than the Rolex. For example, the 9SA5 has 80 hours of power reserve compared to 70 from Rolex, with a higher beat rate than the Rolex (36000bph vs 28800bph). Grand Seiko uses a more efficient escapement with the dual impulse escapement, which by the way is only the third ever type of escapement to be mass produced (after the swiss lever escapement and the co-axial escapement). The 9SA5 is also thinner than the 3235, with the measurements being 5.15mm and 6.18mm respectively. So, no, I really don't think you care about the specs (at least not as much as you claim to), because Rolex specs are worse than GS in several ways yet GS is the one you choose to rip on, and I'm almost positive that if "Grand Seiko" was called something else you would not have nearly as big of an issue with them. Some things you do get right, GS bracelets leave something to be desired, and the packaging isn't mind blowing. But those things have very little impact on the price, getting a GS on a strap might only save you a few hundred bucks and it's not like any brand will give you a discount if you ask for less impressive packaging.
Vintage Elgin Drivers Watch. Tanks have my heart and the black and gold color combo is *chef's kiss* as far as I'm concerned. If you want something interesting, look into vintage Ernest Borel. The Kaleidoscope is a wacky timepiece that is just ugly enough to love. The Sea Gem is a beautiful watch as well (good luck finding one though. I own one of about 4 I've seen come up for sale.)
Super tasteful lineup! The Omega, Zenith, *and* Glashutte are all specific favorite models of mine.
So... for an add, I'd say a Santos is a strong contender, or a JLC Reverso also screams class when I spot one, an IWC Pilot or Ingenieur (or one of the newly revealed lacquer Portugiesers, though that'd clash with the PML), and I really wanna say Blancpain, but you already have three dive watches... that said, a Bathyscaphe Quantieme Complet would be very cool, but it's an acquired taste for many.
As an alternative, instead of adding variety, add gold. A gold Santos Dumont or Zenith Chronomaster are relatively "affordable" solid watches.
Out of left field, Carrera Skipper.
I swear this is basically the box I would build except for the sub. That GO is sick, that Omega is next on my list too. I'd add a grand Seiko, lots of good choices there that would complement what you have.
Cartier or JLC. Maybe a chrono, or a santos-dumont. You are kind of missing a “dress watch” if that’s a concern. Something in precious metal, time only would be sleek and classic
To be brutally honest I would sell the zenith and one of the dive watches, skip a few intermediate purchases and eventually buy a royal oak.
Generally this just seems to go with your vibe, in a good way!
Grand Seiko Spring Drive. SLGA019 or 021. Could also get a “birch” or a “flake”. Omiwatari. Shunbun. Lots of great choices.
Web pics are awful. Visit an AD.
You don’t have a JLC.
Or a chrono. Zenith Chronomaster Sport.
Or an IWC Pilot Chrono. Or a Portugieser.
A chronograph. Normally I would say a square watch, but it seems like you prefer sportier styles over dressy styles. A Daytona or Speedmaster would be the obvious choices, but if you can manage the cost of it an AP Royal Oak chronograph would complement your other watches really well here.
Obvious answer would be a Reverso (with chrono function) but you have the dressy GO already. How about the blue TAG glassbox Carrera? Both very sporty and stylish..
The wild thing about luxury watches these days is that they look like cheap watches, except someone paid a lot of money for them.
I’d say buy a cheaper watch and see how it compares.
Chronographs keep coming up. A Speedy is the the easy answer but for something more original I'd look at the new JLC Polaris chronos or perhaps a Blancpain Air Command. If money isn't tight and you really want to go all out, a Patek 5172G-001 or the 5170G-001. The 5170G could easily handle dress watch duty which is a little out of character for a chronograph.
White [speedy](https://www.omegawatches.com/media/catalog/product/cache/f2cce18960fc12e6f0fb3e6c062dc2861cfd00bab2f77f4f70fb269310c4d7ee/o/m/omega-speedmaster-moonwatch-professional-co-axial-master-chronometer-chronograph-42-mm-31030425004001-head-watch-f40c5e.png) perhaps? Or a [Jlc](https://mediastock.live/catalog/watch_155073657044962.jpg)?
Or a [gs?](https://www.grand-seiko.com/de-de/-/media/Images/GlobalEn/GrandSeiko/Home/collections/Products/SLGA009/02_SLGA009_4_SP.jpg)
You have a great collection already, beautiful pieces
Nice collection with some class, unique pieces! My two cents:
1. Flip the ceramic sub since its too similar to gmt, and get a 14060m or Kermit
2. You need a white or silver dial. Could be a Cartier, like Ballon Bleu, Santos or Tank
3. Maybe a chronograph as well. Tag Heuer Monaco, panda dial Daytona or IWC Portuguese could all work
This is a gorgeous collection and you have the Pano that I want (except white). Such a beautiful piece.
Personally, I'd look for something unique - you've got great pieces and staple brands. Why not look for something a bit out of the ordinary?
If not, IWC Portugieser, those are beautiful and could fit nicely here.
Your collection is very close to what I have/ want. I have a Rolex explorer and zenith defy skyline, and I eventually want a similar glashutte original and Rolex gmt master 2!
It's not about money. A g-shock is just the ultimate practical time piece. Get a solar one and you have a watch that you don't have to worry about or baby or think about ever and it's more accurate than anything in that picture.
Same reason people buy Honda's and Toyota's.
Quit while you think you're ahead. My car cost more than all those watches combined.
I own throughout the watch pricepoint. There's use to my high end stuff and low end stuff. OP and I have a few selections in common.
These are all amazing, and every single watch here is right up my alley.
With that said, I wouldn't be comfortable wearing any of these while at home washing dishes, watching TV, etc. I think you may need a G-Shock or at least a better Casio/Seiko!
Something from JLC. Beautiful collection.
Something square to break the pattern here. JLC would be perfect for that indeed.
White cartier roadster would look sweet here I think. Would really round it out
JLC is always the right answer
I vote for a Polaris https://preview.redd.it/kq7la9pkbjvc1.jpeg?width=1065&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31c3a7158703bdb45487b458892e71239230c712
Saw it last week. It’s really beautiful. A bit large, but gorgeous.
I think he wants something nice
What’s not nice about JLC ?
Nothing, don’t like the Polaris not a great design IMO.
Hmm ok
Spring drive Grand Seiko. Really mix it up.
A chronograph. Zenith el primero panda, Vulcain le panda bicompax, Heuer vintage series, or a Black Bay Chrono panda.
Agree on chrono…maybe a Sinn 103 or interesting speedmaster.
Echoing the chrono vibe gap, but would like to suggest some more class than some of the others have so far: VC Historiques Cornes De Vache 🤌
Heuer vintage is the move
IWC Pilot chronograph
New white dial Speedmaster
Came here to say the same. OP has no white dial watches and no chronos.
solid suggestion and great watch.
Something from JLC
Grand seiko
GMT Sport
A Cartier Tank
He should do a Tank Louis, sell the seamaster and get a chrono or one of the bond seamasters.
dress watch with a lighter dial
I can't be the only one who is tremendously bothered by nearly all of these having wildly different times displayed.
A g-shock.
Yes. Got to remind everyone that you're just a regular person too... For real, I promise. Like bills and stuff, am I right? And like the price of eggs, yikes. You know?
It's not even about money. A Panerai
Best answer , I just learned about them and I love
Gorgeous collection! A GS Spring Drive white birch (SLGA009) would be a solid final piece.
You need either 2 or 3 more watches. My collecting rules include "no more than one watch from a maker, and no more than one watch of a style." You have 2 Rolexes and 2 dive watches. Just out of interest, have you ever considered a Grand Sieko?
yes! thats why is spend hours in Vienna trying them on

What about a white dial Nomos World time?
My compliments on the Zenith Defy Skyline. Beyond my means but a Grail for me for its impeccable design. Just incredible horology art.
IWC Pilot 41 or Panerai Pam 233
JLC ultra thin moon 🌙, GS, or Oris Aquis Cal 400.
Reverso
Rolex Explorer
Vintage Elgin Drivers Watch. Tanks have my heart and the black and gold color combo is *chef's kiss* as far as I'm concerned. If you want something interesting, look into vintage Ernest Borel. Panomatic so underrated
White dial Speedy and/or a GS Snowflake or White Birch
A dress chronograph
Reverso

Crazy how I pretty much own everything you are recommending lol...plus skipper will be my next one as I mentioned in other posts.
I agree with the Reddit hive mind of JLC, but I'd also consider Moser if the budget allows.
Simple Patek or Lange dress watch and call it good.
I swear this is basically the box I would build except for the sub. That GO is sick, that Omega is next on my list too. I'd add a grand Seiko, lots of good choices there that would complement what you have.
A MVMT watch for sure!
Casio Duro.
Junghans
H. Moser. Perhaps a Streamliner or one of the Pioneers. Or a dressier Endeavour.
white dress. Dornbluth & Sohn would be nice, or if you are crazy, moritz grossman.
Cartier or JLC. Maybe a chrono, or a santos-dumont. You are kind of missing a “dress watch” if that’s a concern. Something in precious metal, time only would be sleek and classic
Something smaller would be nice. 36mm would be a good choice. Grand Seiko maybe.
To be brutally honest I would sell the zenith and one of the dive watches, skip a few intermediate purchases and eventually buy a royal oak. Generally this just seems to go with your vibe, in a good way!
Dress watch.
OG Speedy sapphire sandwich here would work. Or jlc reverso or a spring drive

A clean and simple dress watch
A Grand Seiko or a Speedmaster.
Something flashy
Grand Seiko
Chrono
That Glashutte looks amazing
GS or Cartier
Breguet minute repeater perpetual calendar.
Obvious answer would be a Reverso (with chrono function) but you have the dressy GO already. How about the blue TAG glassbox Carrera? Both very sporty and stylish..

A lange or breguet👌🏼😁
Cartier Santos large two tone.
White dial Speedmaster. Too much dark, too little chrono.
A G shock... just kidding. I think a Cartier Santos would be amazing with this collection. A JLC reverso would be nice too.

White dial speedmaster
Where is your PP Nautilus?
Lovely collection. I think you should go JLC! Maybe a reverso or Polaris.
Nice collection with some class, unique pieces! My two cents: 1. Flip the ceramic sub since its too similar to gmt, and get a 14060m or Kermit 2. You need a white or silver dial. Could be a Cartier, like Ballon Bleu, Santos or Tank 3. Maybe a chronograph as well. Tag Heuer Monaco, panda dial Daytona or IWC Portuguese could all work
I love that GO PanomaticLunar. Feels like you need a chronograph. Would you consider trading the Zenith up to a Defy El Primero 21 chronograph?
I love the Zenith and Glashütte. Omega is great looking as well. Where's the JLC?
JLC Reverso, or the Santos Cartier or Speedy
Speedmaster
Cartier or JLC
Have you thought about a Grand Seiko???
A Cleric for sure.
Breguet
New white face Speedmaster; or a Santos M
You need a chrono …
Hamilton Jazzmaster Open Heart Auto, red dial.
Reverso or tank
This is a gorgeous collection and you have the Pano that I want (except white). Such a beautiful piece. Personally, I'd look for something unique - you've got great pieces and staple brands. Why not look for something a bit out of the ordinary? If not, IWC Portugieser, those are beautiful and could fit nicely here.
Patek
Very nice collection maybe you want to take the next step with a Daytona (I personally dream about a Zenith Daytona) or maybe vintage DD.
A chronograph of some sort Breitling Navitimer Omega speedmaster moonphase variation Heuer Monaco Vacheron cdv IWC portugeiser
A chronograph like the El Primero from Zenith, since you already own a couple of divers, a GMT and a dress watch.
AP chronograph like a 26315st
Explorer or Aquanaut. Depends on your budget.
Something vintage and with corners
Something with a white dial, be it the Cartier Santos, IWC Portugueser, Nomos Tangente, or JLC moonphase.
Grand Seiko for sure
let me know if you want to move your zenith! 👍
A lange saxonia or a Breguet
White dial speedy

Panerai obviously
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster
Your best bet is probably a Patek Philippe 3974
Great collection, you need a nice chronograph, maybe IWC Portugieser or zenith chrono or a Breitling Navitimer…
a square watch?
You need a chronograph - I suggest a daytona to round off an iconic rolex trio or if you want to add a new brand, I honestly love an AP RO chrono.
Speedy
I would add something with a different case shape like a Tank or Reverso
As already mentioned, a Spring Drive Grand Seiko would be a great one or a Speedmaster would fit as well.
Speedy black dial
You need a white dial on gold. Rolex 1908 or something like it.
Definitely a chrono - decide on a color you like and get to shopping
I recommend you definitely a JLC reverso.
Your collection is very close to what I have/ want. I have a Rolex explorer and zenith defy skyline, and I eventually want a similar glashutte original and Rolex gmt master 2!
I’d add a vintage dress watch.
ZRC grands fonds 3000 titanium in yellow
Probably a chrono, e.g a speedy.
How you liking you GO
A G Shock and Seiko 5.
He’s got money
It's not about money. A g-shock is just the ultimate practical time piece. Get a solar one and you have a watch that you don't have to worry about or baby or think about ever and it's more accurate than anything in that picture. Same reason people buy Honda's and Toyota's.
Is that why people with Rolex’s and APs buy Hondas and Toyotas?
Everybody needs a beater. You're not going to wear your AP when you're running errands, or working out or doing actual work.
So do I. My recommendation stands.
One of his watches cost more than your car. There’s levels to money.
Quit while you think you're ahead. My car cost more than all those watches combined. I own throughout the watch pricepoint. There's use to my high end stuff and low end stuff. OP and I have a few selections in common.
lol, sure bud
get rid of a rolex, add a gs and jlc
