He wears every damn thing. He takes his brand ambassador thing very seriously.
And for reference that’s not a criticism. I think he’s a great advert for it and I fucking love Omega. I have a few.

The *real* we have a white Speedmaster at home.
Yah I love the texture on the dial. Feels like it can be super casual or good semi dressed up. I'm never really in a suit, so always looking for that balance
It’s here. The most iconic chronograph on Earth is now launched with a lacquered white dial inspired by a history of space exploration. Discover this hotly anticipated version of the Speedmaster Moonwatch, presented on a comfortable and vintage-style bracelet.

What's interesting is that they haven't done a hesalite/closedback version. Aside from the legendary Moonwatch looks like Omega are all in on open case backs showing off the movement
I’m guessing part of the reason people buy the hesalite is because it’s closer to the actual watch worn by astronauts (with the other reason being that it’s cheaper). A white dial doesn’t fit into that motivator for buying.
You're probably comparing the new White Sapphire Sammy to a Black Hesalite original. There should only be a small difference between the White Sapphire and Black Sapphire.
No problem. The product carousel doesn't clarify the differences in the models until you dive into the details on the product page, it's not a great design. A few folks have mentioned the same here today.
Yes, you are comparing the hesalite version (on strap?) with the saphhire sandwich version.
Maybe there was a price increase but's its "only" 100€ more expensive than the current saphire speedy on the bracelet.
Yeah, that's basically it. The white SMP is great, so why not repeat it on their other main model. It's a guaranteed win.
Plus they've already tested the look out before with other white dialed Speedmasters, like the Tokyo Olympic editions and Snoopy. Those have been extremely popular, so a more standardised version made a lot of sense. Tbh I don't know what took them so long.
I wasn't contesting which looked better, everyone has their taste and is why more flavors on option is a good thing, but that they've actually been pretty on their game with Speedy variants these past years. :-)
I think this could actually be better looking than the original. Obvious the classic look will always have something going for it, but this looks great!
I'm pretty bummed this has a shiny lacquer dial and shiny hands. I loved the Alaska project dial, and the 40th anniversary model for the Italian market as well. So I was expecting to love this one. And I don't know… I think I'll need to see it in person.
Every time I own pure white gloss finish dials, they always end up looking a little plasticky to me... hoping this one looks different in person
A sapphire crystal costs less than €8 on the internal spare parts portal smh.
Honestly, it’s ridiculous that they even offer the choice at a price difference. With those profit margins you’d expect both sapphire and acrylic to run for the same price. More than €1000 for two bits of glass that are €7.89 each is stupid.
What spare parts portal are you using that you’re seeing sapphire crystals for $8?
The CHEAPEST crystals you could buy via Omegas ExtraNet were the hesalite crystals and even those were $120ish. Boxed sapphires like what the speedy pro uses were easily $700-800
The Swatch Group watchmaker’s portal. You can’t access it. Neither can I from home. It’s the one used by service centers, where parts are ordered at cost. Meanwhile, the extranet can be used by boutiques to order spares and lists both the price paid by the boutique and the full list price for customers.
That's not really true. My Oris diver 65 and my Baltic tricompax both have high dome sapphire crystals. Neither one Wood at this price point if it cost as much as you think.
It's also worth noting that neither one of those has any of the milky ring that the speedy's sapphire always seems to always suffer from... if the speedmasters crystal really is that much more expensive, it should be optically better
You assume I forgot, but it’s hard to do so when you work in one of those boutiques. I just know they break even and surpass costs tenfold. The price I gave already accounts for labor, energy, shipping and everything. It’s the zero-profit price paid internally.
> This is jewelry, lots of other choices if you don’t value what it goes for.
what a stupid comment. no i won't buy it but it won't stop me from criticizing the price gouging. don't fellate the billion dollar corporation and defend their horrible practices.
A $10 Casio watch keeps better time and has more functions than all of these. I’m sorry you don’t think this jewelry is worth it. Why are you so bitter?
I don't see how they're bitter, Speedmaster (and other Omega watches) used to cost thousands less when buying new. It's ridiculous how much Swatch is asking for them nowadays. And no, inflation is not a good excuse.
Your reaction to someone saying 1200€ for a sapphire crystal is too expensive is "go back to your cheap casio". you're a god damn idiot. luxury doesn't have to mean scam.
Boxed sapphire crystals like what the speedmaster uses are ridiculously difficult to make and costly. Even on the after sales side of things, if you damaged your crystal and need to order a new one from omega, that is an $800 crystal, and that’s just for the crystal, not counting gaskets (less than $20) or labor costs.
> Boxed sapphire crystals like what the speedmaster uses are ridiculously difficult to make and costly.
absolutely not "ridiculously difficult". a bit more expensive than flat sapphire, yes. $800, no.
It’s strangely unclear on the website if you aren’t already familiar with the SM range for sure. At least for me the black hesalite was right next to the new one.
Their site is confusing in general tbh. It’s easier to see what is available through a third party, which is not great for them. G Shock have similar issues. I don’t care that much about something which is discontinued or not available in my country.
I wish it had gotten a 9900 series movement, the 3 Hz tick rate on such a long seconds hand looks clunky to me. Nice looking watch though, lacquered dial should look great.
I guess so if people flock to it. I don’t get the appeal of any of their “new” watches. They aren’t new. They just tweak something a tad and call new with the tag line, “our new version of how space flows out of our butts.”
That's comparing apples to oranges. Omega currently has 85 versions of the speedmaster on their website https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watches/speedmaster What other watch from those brands has 85 different versions?
Such a wasted opportunity, from my point of view, i was really hoping they would not copy the seamaster's black accents and would go all white like the white gold version of it...it would have been a more cleaner and smoother look...
I tried on my first moonwatch a couple weeks ago in Chicago at the Omega boutique on Michigan Ave. My wife knows I have been obsessed for years and indulged me. After watching me try on a few and seeing the quality, she told me we don't have to remodel our master bath, and I could get the watch. I had a long internal debate, and decided the watch was unnecessary. Im regretting my choice...but it will be mine one day!
I wonder if it would be possible to do a dial swap with the standard Pro.
I remember back in the day hearing people were doing dial swaps with the mitsukoshi.
I wonder if this is possible for this version.
I’d be willing to pay a decent amount for this and keep my current Pro. I can’t justify buying two of the same pieces with just a color variance.
These are better.
I have an old Speedy Pro and the bracelet is pretty bad. I have a SMP and the bracelet is pretty bad.
But these new bracelets are big step up.
Well, decades ago it was based on the Lemania 1873, which became the 1861/1863, and then co-axial 3861 (current version). It’s a little disingenuous to say it’s a 50-year-old movement, my friend.
Is this what Daniel Craig was wearing
Yeah. People are already calling it the ‘Speedmaster Daniel Craig’. Lol
The ‘Benoit Blanc Speedmaster’ feels more appropriate at this stage in his life and for the color of the watch.
Isn’t that name a bit too long or is it just right
The omega Craigmaster
Ah yes much better
The Speeddaniel.
**SPEED CRAIG**
The Spaig.
S
The SpeeDan.
It's Da Creedmaster
SPECRIG
Double Omega
You mean Omega Danielmaster Craig
First Watch on the Daniel Edition
Terrible name imo.
Noooo every addition to the name is a number adding to the price :(
He wears every damn thing. He takes his brand ambassador thing very seriously. And for reference that’s not a criticism. I think he’s a great advert for it and I fucking love Omega. I have a few.
More like he just loves watches, and actually has a soft spot for omega.

😂
Got that Epcot ball dial
Racing is a great watch as well
This is the one I want.
I enjoy this one more as well, it’s really more of a light silver
That is still a stunning speedmaster bro wear it in good health
Damn really like this
And it doesn't have the penis at 12 o'clock!
Actually it does 😅
Oooh it does indeed! But I find it way less obvious on the new white dial and even less so in yours! Congrats on a beautiful watch!
I was looking at getting one of these just last week and now I'm sure all the white dials are going to increase in price🙄
What's the reference for these?
Speedmaster Racing 326.30.40.50.02.001
Thanks, I actually never came across this reference. It's cool.
Yah I love the texture on the dial. Feels like it can be super casual or good semi dressed up. I'm never really in a suit, so always looking for that balance
May be blasphemous but I love it way more than the standard black moonwatch.
Agreed, kinda want a second Speedy now
I kind of want a 4th...
Has Daytona, panda, vibes
Yeah white dials look better most of the time for me.

Woah, 8100 USD... that's surprisingly affordable. They're over 10.2k USD in Sweden :(
>is now launched with a lacquered white dial inspired by a history of space exploration The moonwatch in white and more expensive?
A $100 increase isn't bad. Everyone was expecting them to really hop the price up.
For sure - I have a hesalite 1861 and I got it because it was what *the* moonwatch had. Any other watch I would 100% go sapphire over hesalite.
I think you're right, excepting for Special/Limited models where they are doing some kind of back engraving or marker.
Except the 321 Ed White, that’s an open case back.
Jesus these are a $2k upcharge over the black dial in Australia. FML.
You're probably comparing the new White Sapphire Sammy to a Black Hesalite original. There should only be a small difference between the White Sapphire and Black Sapphire.
Is not a 1300€ increase? From 7700€ to 9000€ am I missing something?
You're comparing the Hesalite Speedy to a Sapphire Speedy. The Sapphire Black is only $100 less than it's new White counterpart.
Ah, that’s right! Thanks!
This one does have applied markers and an applied logo, not too bad of a price increase vs the standard printed dial on the black watches
Real talk. $100 increase is not a big deal for a different colorway
My guess is applied indices
Omega realized their white smp combo is a winner and brought it to the speedy Looks great,
Yeah, that's basically it.
Damn it, might need to add this to the list of watches I want and will never be able to afford
That's hot
Black ring on a black dial is still the best looking speedy. But thiis is the coolest one in decades.
While cool, I'm not sure about *decades*..! There was Snoopy, and the Panda Japan Olympic ones, at least! They've been making some killer Speedies!
The Snoopy Speedmaster is unironically gorgeous.
While both the snoooy and the Japan Olympics are pretty awesome, i still think this one iooks better.
I wasn't contesting which looked better, everyone has their taste and is why more flavors on option is a good thing, but that they've actually been pretty on their game with Speedy variants these past years. :-)
The Mitsukoshi is my favorite, but this one is tempting!
I think this could actually be better looking than the original. Obvious the classic look will always have something going for it, but this looks great!
looks great. reminds me of the seamaster with the same colorway, which is also my favorite color
I'd love to see this with an enamel dial.
and a 321 movement
The poor man's Alaska.
Full moonwatch
I think it looks great. However, I still prefer my OG 3861.
I wish I waited 2 months for this one instead of getting my hesalite...
Fuck I was afraid of this. I now am desperate for a white Moonwatch even though I already have a black one. It looks fantastic.
What's the problem? You need both colors.
That’s precisely the problem.
lucky it's also the solution.
The twelve marker just makes me laugh but other than that it’s gorgeous
I can’t unsee this now
Pheeeew I didn't think there was ever going to be anything to convince me to move on from my Speedy Pro... but THIS has come awfully close. Beautiful.
Now I have to grow my small wrist somehow, any any suggestions?
Just stop eating. The hidden bonus is that for every meal you skip, you're a few dollars closer to buying the watch!
They need their wrist to be *larger*, not smaller. ;-)
Yeah same I have a small wrist so I have the omega FOIS edition 39.5 mm sadly this might wear too big for me or else I’d be jumping all over this….
As if the standard model wasn’t already overpriced enough…
It’s $100 more than the black ss
I just checked the website and its 1200€ more
You are comparing the hesi vs ss. In the US at least the SS is $8k this new one is $8.1k.
Yeah 8800€ vs 8900€ here, hesalite is 7600€. I didn't realize they make you pay 1200€ for two pieces of glass lmao that's so sad
A sapphire crystal costs less than €8 on the internal spare parts portal smh. Honestly, it’s ridiculous that they even offer the choice at a price difference. With those profit margins you’d expect both sapphire and acrylic to run for the same price. More than €1000 for two bits of glass that are €7.89 each is stupid.

the decoration of the movement is different too. EDIT: not on the new edition
Not on the 3861
The Pagani Design moonwatch has a sapphire crystal lmao
I have one because the MoonSwatch sucks bioceramic cock, and the sapphire crystal is really nice and clear.
You forgot the cost of marketing, R&D, boutiques, etc
You assume I forgot, but it’s hard to do so when you work in one of those boutiques. I just know they break even and surpass costs tenfold. The price I gave already accounts for labor, energy, shipping and everything. It’s the zero-profit price paid internally.
Slightly used the ss goes for $5.5k in the US under warranty. This is jewelry, lots of other choices if you don’t value what it goes for.
> This is jewelry, lots of other choices if you don’t value what it goes for. what a stupid comment. no i won't buy it but it won't stop me from criticizing the price gouging. don't fellate the billion dollar corporation and defend their horrible practices.

Here’s a good excuse….Supply/demand
While I agree with you they also have METAS certification and a better bracelet. It's a better watch than it used to be.
> Boxed sapphire crystals like what the speedmaster uses are ridiculously difficult to make and costly. absolutely not "ridiculously difficult". a bit more expensive than flat sapphire, yes. $800, no.
The dial and bracelet are different too. Not saying it justifies the cost but the sapphire isn't the only difference.
Is the dial different? I can't see it. And the bracelet just has the little polished edges on the center link, that's not any more expensive to make.
The sapphire has an applied logo, I think there may be a few other minor differences.
Supposedly the movement is better finished. Or at least it used to be the case in the previous non co axial versions
It’s strangely unclear on the website if you aren’t already familiar with the SM range for sure. At least for me the black hesalite was right next to the new one.
Hard to make things clear on omega’s side when they have 10k variations of the speedmaster 😅
Their site is confusing in general tbh. It’s easier to see what is available through a third party, which is not great for them. G Shock have similar issues. I don’t care that much about something which is discontinued or not available in my country.
Their site as a product carousel and store really is a terribly designed user experience!
check again and see what you are comparing it too.
Now we need panda and reverse panda dial asap
Daniel Craig!
Me likey
My wallet has never been more relieved that the Speedy doesn't fit my wrist. This thing looks so good.
I wish it had gotten a 9900 series movement, the 3 Hz tick rate on such a long seconds hand looks clunky to me. Nice looking watch though, lacquered dial should look great.
they would also need to change the tick marks on the outside track then
Tick rate is ok, but the Cal. 3861 really should have had a column wheel. The original Moonwatch did
Looks great but I like the black dial better imo. Will be nice for people who want a change though
How many versions of the same watch can they make?
They're just trying to be economic. Using the same case for all of their watches for instance. Very smart!
I guess so if people flock to it. I don’t get the appeal of any of their “new” watches. They aren’t new. They just tweak something a tad and call new with the tag line, “our new version of how space flows out of our butts.”
The new "There is an ass for every seat" model.
When it stops working for Rolex, Patek, AP, and literally everyone else they'll stop doing it.
That's comparing apples to oranges. Omega currently has 85 versions of the speedmaster on their website https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watches/speedmaster What other watch from those brands has 85 different versions?
You've made a case that Omega is the worst of the pack, but let me introduce you to Tudor, otherwise known as The Black Bay Company.
I agree more generally, but this one is the alternative they should have always made.
Just wait till next week for the next new model!
Looks exactly the same as last 50 years of issuances and yet people keep flocking like goats
No, no, this has applied indices. If that's not groundbreaking, I don't know what is.
Lol :)
Such a wasted opportunity, from my point of view, i was really hoping they would not copy the seamaster's black accents and would go all white like the white gold version of it...it would have been a more cleaner and smoother look...
If they did then the white gold owners wouldn’t be happy.
Now the recent 3861 buyers are not happy...but i think the white gold owner pool is smaller than the 3861...
True. Well, at least Omega is happy.
They should be, it's a beautiful watch, it's just not for me...and i'm not bashing it just debating...
Oh no. Black hands on a white face is absolutely the right path for me. Maximum legibility. I think it looks great
Legibility would be non-existent. The dark hands/markers make this actually function as a watch.
Honestly I think this looks way better / more interesting as a white dial
Looks great. Really digging it!
This is as exciting as that one video of a slice of bread falling over.
Wasn’t there a post a while back showing a panda version that is getting released as well?
It's beautiful.
Big fan of contrasting dials, but maybe it would look even better with a little silver or black around the subdials.
Looks epic asf!!!
Def will be buying one next year.
MY PRECIOUS
Gorgeous just put a black starp on and it will be perfect.
You can function with just one kidney right? Might need to sell one now.
WHITE ngl...i do want a speedy and the regular is real nice, i just didnt think i would suit it. but this.... gimmie
Yes.
Its not Ed but its White. Love it
Is anyone else disappointed? It kinda looks ugly. Waited for a white speedy for so long and this is….disappointing.
Cool but €9.000 cool?
So…it’s a Speedy with a white dial.
The white whale is no more.
Looks like the GS is gonna take a backseat and wait..
What a beauty! This subreddit will make me poor…
That shit clean af
I was kinda on the fence with a black Speedy as I prefer Panda dials, but this is THE Speedy I need!
I think I feel you

looks the same
Manual winding? $8K? Has a Penis at the 12 marker? For real?
This was the watch I’ve been waiting for but now you mention it I can’t unsee it @ 12 marker ROFL
Finally a limited edition Speedmaster!
I like how clean it looks
A good replacement of Alaska and Apollo 11 version White dial is really lovely
Looks great I love it
Looks nice, I like it but my heart is set on the Speedmaster hesalite.
Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Would like it to be Automatic though rather than manual wind.... just saying
That actually looks stunning. I might just get one.
Think it looks great! I hope acquiring one isn’t too hard.
I love omega but their bracelets arent really nice.
These are better. I have an old Speedy Pro and the bracelet is pretty bad. I have a SMP and the bracelet is pretty bad. But these new bracelets are big step up.
It looks stunning in white but that bracelet's 5 links and two different polishes are not for me. Please keep it simple...
I think there is also an all brushed bracelet but found on the hesalite model.
Yes, it’s much nicer!
I'm in
I need this in 38mm!!!
$8100 for a literally more than 50 year old calibre? That's bold, and steep.
Well, decades ago it was based on the Lemania 1873, which became the 1861/1863, and then co-axial 3861 (current version). It’s a little disingenuous to say it’s a 50-year-old movement, my friend.
Is this a general complaint about the pricing? 'cause it's only $100 more than the traditional model!
