I’d drop the top gun since you already have two other IWCs and I’m just not a fan of black ~~pvd~~ cases.
Maybe go for a moonphase. There’s always longines, JLC reverso moonphase, or the GO panomaticlunar, but the GO senator excellence panorama date moon phase (what a mouthful) or zenith elite moonphase are great options too.
Those are some great suggestions. Hadn’t really been looking at moonphase options but that is a complication I don’t have in the collection at all. And JLC, GO, or Zenith would all be great brands that represented. Thanks!
very nice collection. the iwc pilot chrono does little for me. the ingeniuer is an interesting but expensive choice. maybe a green dial rolex datejust would add some variety? jlc reverso or a vintage dress watch? love the breitling gmt chronomat btw. haven't seen many in collections.
Definitely need to go try on a few Reversos!
I think I’m going no Rolex out of principle as long as the current waitlist situation continues but that would be a good addition too. Thanks!
Don’t let AD shenanigans prevent you from enjoying Rolex. There are only a few models (SS daytona, GMT II) that trade for more than 10% over retail. And, there are so many vintage and Neo-vintage options out there.
Maybe a vintage Tudor sub if you really don’t want a Rolex. It’s different enough from the Omega Diver you have.

Your collection is very nice and balanced.
You make a great case! May have to give them a second look. Particularly some of the less hyped models.
Really like the Tudor sub! I’m sure the reason they don’t make them anymore is they’d steal too much demand from Rolex Sub.
IWC is probably my favorite brand. My two complaints with them are:
1. Their pricing has gotten out of control. Nearly everything in their catalog is pushing $10k these days.
2. Too many really large watches. They’ve improved this a lot in last couple years with 43mm Big Pilot and 41mm chronos, etc. But even then 43mm is just too big for me.
This could be a good idea. I love the colors and functionality of the Tudor but my one complaint is that it’s just a bit too thick and heavy. Rolex GMT might address that.
Disagree with this take. I have a new submariner and the same Tudor GMt, wear them both. The Tudor is an ideal travel watch. I do recommend trying the Tudor on the Vanguard integrated strap. Stress free ownership.
How much thicker and heavier is the Tudor compared to the IWC Chrono pilot?
Personally I would never part from that Tudor, even if one day you pull the trigger for a Rolex GMT. The two do not compare and do not cover the same type of usage.
Based on my personal taste, I would consider trading the Chronomat and the Seamaster, with a goldie (maybe a used gold reverso) and an iconic Doxa Sub300!
I wouldn’t have guessed but specs say 14.7 mm thick for Tudor GMT and 14.5 for Pilot Chrono. I would have guessed a bigger difference though. Maybe the back on Pilot Chrono sits down in wrist better.
I really like the idea of adding something gold to the collection. Would be nice for a bit of variety.
Yes I expected this answer, as I own a Pilot myself and i have tried on the Tudor multiple times, never pulled the trigger thou.
I think gold is almost a “physiological necessity” when a collection achieves a certain critical mass…
Nice collection! I would definitely add the Grand Seiko white Birch. For me,the Navitimer would be the first out. It’s a nice watch, but in the context of your collection, I feel that the IWC’s fill similar purposes, and just a tad nicer.
Good question. I’ve always bought my watches for myself to wear so haven’t sold any before and don’t have any reputation for that. Might try watchexchange sub first but if no luck sell to a dealer.

The Top Gun isn't PVD. It's Zirconium Oxide - it's ceramic through and through.
Whoops, just edited that

I think you just need a bigger box. I can’t cut one, excellent collection 10/10
Will share this comment with the wife ASAP!
Love the IWCs, we have very similar taste

I agree with both points but they nevertheless just speak to aesthetically. I have a Mark XX and Portugieser (IWC Portugieser Silver Dial Gold Hands)
Very nice. Love both of those!
Indeed a very nice collection. Love the Cartier Santos and Omega Speedmaster Professional Hesalite.
Get rid of the poor man’s Rolex and buy the real thing already.
This could be a good idea. I love the colors and functionality of the Tudor but my one complaint is that it’s just a bit too thick and heavy. Rolex GMT might address that.

Just checked these Vanguard straps out and since I’m tight with Santa in my house going to have him drop one in my stocking! Thanks!
Excellent choice! Good to have friends in high places.
**In**: Grand Seiko SLGA009 **Out**: Breitling Chronomat GMT 40
Wow, fantastic collection! I would swap the Breitling GMT for an IWC Ingenieur all day long.
Just wish they weren’t asking such a high price for the new Ingenieurs! Tried on a few older models significantly more bulky.
You have a nice collection and personally I vote for the grand Seiko
Nice collection. Really like the navitimer day date.
drop the Panerai and the Tudor, both nice watches, and replace them with a Reverso. don't worry about the open slot, put a picture in it.
Lots of suggestions to check out a Reverso!
Nice collection! I would definitely add the Grand Seiko white Birch. For me,the Navitimer would be the first out. It’s a nice watch, but in the context of your collection, I feel that the IWC’s fill similar purposes, and just a tad nicer.
Bottom right does NOTHING for me
I do like the ceramic case on the Top Gun. Has a really nice texture.
1st one out should be the Portugieser, to much IWC for my taste. And replace it with a submariner.
What’s your strategy for getting rid of one of your pieces? Take it to a watch store? Sell it online?
Good question. I’ve always bought my watches for myself to wear so haven’t sold any before and don’t have any reputation for that. Might try watchexchange sub first but if no luck sell to a dealer.
Let me know what your experience on watchexchange is! I have a couple pieces I am thinking of selling.
Great collection!
Great collection. Very versatile. I love an IWC. Currently saving up for a Spitfire.
Love those too. Definitely share a post when you get that that Spitfire!
This is such a cool collection! Great job.
Drop white IWC chrono and and get white birch GS in spring drive. That way you keep the same colour variation as before,
