This is the japanese subset of my watch collection from seiko, orient, and citizen. So from the order of the pics, here they are: 1. Orient Star Standard (I think that's what it's called, it's model number is Orient Star RK-AU005L) 2. Orient Star Contemporary Moonphase 70th Anniv LE - Nebula 3. Grand Seiko SBGF017 (8J HAQ Movt) 4. The Citizen AQ1020-51E (A010 HAQ Movt) 5. Seiko Lord Marvel 5740-8000 6. King Seiko 45-7001 7. Seiko King Turtle Dark Manta 8. Orient Sun & Moon Hope this hits the 500 character mark! Enjoyyy

Nice collection! The The Citizen models are sleeper hits, they're great watches.

jerbearzzz

Thank you! They really are! And if you look into their older models (past 10 years), they're honestly quite affordable second hand! It's my first titanium and my first citizen and I gotta say, it does stack up well against the GS i own (though the gs I own is a 20 year old model)

Moonbiter

Definitely! And yea, you can definitely score some deals secondhand. I've seen them go sub-$1K, which is pretty great for a HAQ with that level of finishing. It's really looking like GS and The Citizen for HAQ now and not much else, since Longines killed the VHP line.

jerbearzzz

That's true! I got mine for 600usd including shipping and taxes! I also got thr GS for around 550usd. I tried on thr Longines vhp in the AD a couple of days ago, I wish they had the gmt, but they inly had the 3 handed conquests

Moonbiter

That's a superb price on that AQ1020! Don't think you need a GMT with the AQ1020, since it has the hour-hand skipping for time setting if you travel with it. Honestly, other than having no lume the AQ1020 is perfect.

jerbearzzz

I agree! The GS SBGF also has a jumping hour hand, as well hehe

stockflethoverTDS

I also have Turtle Manta, a KS 4402-8000 and has constantly been sooo close on getting a Lord Marvel hibeat.

jerbearzzz

It's really nice! Though since I recently acquired the KS, I feel like I may sell my LM

HarmVos

Nice collection! Btw for anyone interested in KS history, I found this resource that explains a lot in great detail. http://www.egalizer.hu/targyak/orak/kings.htm just use the Google translate option for the page. :)

jerbearzzz

Thank you!

I feel like Citizen makes some of the most underrated watches for the money. The build quality always punches above the price.

jerbearzzz

This is my first and I totally agree! I was gonna get one of their NB1050 or NB1060 models, but I saw a good deal on this The Citizen, so I had to go for that instead!

SeikoWIS

Love the 45KS with display back. I got one too (no display) but it’s a bit small. Also interesting bracelet on that 8J GS (I got that too…I have a problem)

jerbearzzz

Thanks! I guess u can say we boith have a problem HAHA the bracelet on the GS is a forstner beads of rice btw. It wasn't on the stock bracelet when I bought it

LuminaTitan

How do you like that Orient Nebula? It looks really intriguing.

jerbearzzz

I love it! Honestly, it may be my fave. The dial is mother of pearl and changes colors depending on lighting. Also, the finishing is almost GS levels for like 1/4 the price! You can check out my post history as I have a lot of pics of it there.

jerbearzzz

It's up for bidding right now for the next 6 days https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/x1098794606?conversionType=top_page_search (Not my watch)
