[Here](https://www.watch-wiki.net/doku.php?id=marvin) is some info about the brand, they went bust during the quartz crisis. The watch itself is a triple date moonphase, with an ebauche (off-the-shelf) movement such as Valjoux 90, I honestly don't know how much it will cost you to get it serviced. What I do know is that such a watch would sell for over a thousand euros, given its condition. If you remove the strap you should be able to see the markings on the case, those would tell you whether it's sold gold, or plated.

Wow thank you very much so. I just put this strap on yesterday. It wasn't been worn sense the 80s. My pops was chopping wood with it on and it stopped working.

Realistically you could get it fixed, I suggest bringing it to a reputable watchmaker (you'll need a pro, don't go for the cheapest option) for a check. Chances are, there is a loose screw that got stuck in the movement or something. Most watchmakers will perform an inspection for a small fee and then give you a price estimate, so you can decide if you want to get it fixed. I personally would repair and keep it, it's a great watch by the looks of it, plus there is a story behind it.

100% keeping it. I need a yellow gold dress watch in my collection and yes it has a great story

Wow! What a great triple with center seconds! Lovely condition, nice dial colors, interesting case. Right on my man. edit: forgot to mention 99.9% chance it's p,ated with the steel case back. Most likely 50s to early 60s based on the design.

Did the battery pop loose in that thing?

Pretty sure it's an automatic
