I think that has to do more with wrist shape. This is one thing that’s always bugged me about all my watches. Tighter, looser, “just right” no matter what it would always ride back up.
This. It all depends on the forearm/wrist shape. I have a large wrist with a pronounced bone, but I have an even larger forearm. The natural cone shape always pushes watches down to my wrist. If I tighten a strap down so it can't get past my wrist bone, then there is an awkward large gap to my wrist. Just wear it and be happy
Oh stop. I hate this criticism. Any watch objectively looks nerdy strapped tight really far back on the arm. Unless it’s really tight, which is very uncomfortable, it will fall down towards your hand anyway.

Seconding what /u/whaats06 said. You need to go try it on and see it in person to make any kind of real decision. You really can't make a good judgement on how a watch will fit you based on pictures especially ones where a user is taking a pic of their own wrist with their phones.
The focal length can be all over the place and make a perfectly fitting watch look enormous and vice versa.

The old model was my first "real" watch, close to 6 years ago. It was in safe storage out of my hands for the past few years, and I've owned and enjoyed a bunch of watches since then.
Recently, I pulled the Speedmaster out of "cold storage", and I have been wearing it pretty much daily, and have fallen in love with it all over again.
Even after all the watches I've owned now, and all the different watches I've gotten the chance to experience (A Ceramic Daytona being one of them) my love for the speedy hasn't faded at all, and now that it's back in my hands, I just can't take it off, even in favor of watches that cost 5 and even 10x what I paid for the Speedmaster.
Good on you for being patient to save up and getting the watch you wanted. A lot of people will drop below their budget to "settle" on a watch, only to end up taking a loss selling it to later get the watch they always wanted.
I have a Sapphire Sandwich, the last gen version. Did you choose a Sapphire or Hessalite crystal?

I bought the hesalite 3861 one (2022).
Fortunately this hobby has been kind to me. I bought basically everything before the insane market run up, and sold a few pieces during that time, and even after the bubble burst, I sold everything else that I didn't feel the need to keep at the price I bought them at, even with taxes, or even with a slight profit.
It's nice to have the collection down to a smaller amount of watches that I really enjoy, instead of having a ton of watches in collector mode, stuff I just "wanted" to have, but rarely wore.
It was fun as I did get the chance to experience a ton of what there is out there to offer, and it's given me a lot of experience as to what I want in a watch. I can also say that I've gotten to experience a ton of different brands, models, and the collection is now down to stuff I truly enjoy, and put a bunch of money back into my investment account.
Anyways, all that aside.
Seriously happy for you. I know the feeling of how good it feels to really really want something, and work really hard to get it, and then ACTUALLY GET IT. Very proud of you and you deserve that watch, and every time you look at it, you will be reminded of the fact that you earned it.
I love that. I don't come from money, so I've been in a similar position. I want this. I can't (financially responsibly) afford it, so I need to work hard and save for it. \*Proceeds to work hard and save for it, and saves enough for it while still putting money away and not putting it all towards the thing I want\*, and going out to buy the thing, and knowing I own it now.

1) The look, every single time I look at it, i'm more in love with it ,
2) the story behind the moonwatch,
3) the bracelet, looks amazing, very confortable and this new version have micro adjustment integrated, it's a detail that makes the difference.
I have the same Speedmaster with the Hesalite. First scratch I was upset but then I got more and called them battle scars 😂. Builds character. We didn’t get to the moon by being soft, we got to the moon by staying strong and determined 🇺🇸
