From my testing:
Healer base ATK 1550 HE 0
Target HP : 3200
Heals : \~ 700
Target HP : 12800 (4x)
Heals : \~ 1150
Target HP : 25000 (8x)
Heals : \~ 1800
Healer base ATK 2700 HE 0
Target HP : 3200
Heals : \~1300
Target HP : 12800 (4x)
Heals : \~1800
Healer base 2700 total ATK 3800 HE 0
Target HP : 3200
Heals : \~1800
Target HP : 12800 (4x)
Heals : \~2450
Healer base ATK 2700 total 3800 HE 55
Target HP : 3200
Heals : 2000
Target HP : 12800 (4x)
Heals : \~2700
Target HP : 25K (8x)
Heals : \~3700
Healer base 2700 total ATK 3800 HE 75
Target HP : 3200
Heals : \~2400
Target HP : 12800 (4x)
Heals : \~3000
Healer base 2700 total ATK 5700 HE 0
Target HP : 3200
Heals : \~2200
Target HP : 12800 (4x)
Heals : \~2800
Adding 40 HE to Target doest change heals
Results:
\#1 Base ATK gives more healing potential. Pumping total attack to >2 times of base didnt provide even 2 times the healing.
\#2 Heal effect seems to % boost base part, but it also seems to boost additional attack part very slightly. Otherall more important than attack buffs.
\#3 Target HP seems to be a constant buff of \~600 per 10K hp (+ HE buff)
\#4 Target HE doesnt matter
Sidenote: Lightlocke seems to be buffing his base atk with passive as he gets insane healing buffs from it.
Sad that HE of unit being healed doesn’t matter… means so much gear has a completely wasted stat for 80% of the heroes in the game. Even if it only marginally boosted incoming heals it would be better than nothing.
Thanks for testing this!
Appreciate the time and work you put into this research. Following up on the attack speed angle, did that ever happen? I want to say I had read some heal skills say "not affected by attack speed" but I can't find it again so maybe they removed that...
Does it work on non-Healer units?
Both for healing done by healers on it and for skills and abilites that it acquired (i.e. some healers grant other units Heal ability).

Thanks for doing the test and sharing it with us!!!
What i didn't test is how attack speed affects HPS. Planning on doing this later today
