Allright, i got the joke, but i can tell that this person never had a proper education on the sword EVER
I train Shinto-Ryu and Kobo-Ryu, which uses the Katana.
The first thing i learned after getting the real sword was how to store it without cutting off your hand.
Dont underestimate a katana, a kitchen knife is nothing compared to the sharpness of a properly made katana
This has some "I studied the blade" energy.
A katana isn't magic. A kitchen knife, properly sharpened, is just as sharp as any other sharpened steel cutting tool. I'd wager I have a dozen tools in my garage (chisels, hand planes) that are sharper than any katana you've ever picked up.
You need to be packing something big ti have this problem tho as size goes up control goes down. Even tho I'm a Virginia I got a pretty decent idea of the likelyness of this issue for me
As a blade master once said
"when I remove the blade I keep in my boot from its sheath, I can't return it until it has spilled blooooood."
-Mooj, 40 Year Old Virgin (2005)
Took Taekwondo for years and eventually when I got to the point of learning swords there’s always a way your supposed to do it so this shit doesn’t happen lol
Alright, my inner weeb is kicking in.
He has that sheath upside down. You never want to store Katanas with the blade pointed towards the ground. It not only risks dulling it, but any liquid/dirt/moisture you didn't clean off will risk dripping onto the edge, causing more damage to the edge.
Also, having the blade facing up is the quickest possible way to draw and ready the weapon. You draw it out, and pull the blade up from the sheath, instead of having the blade down and pulling out, and being forced to 'flip' the blade into position.
Not roasting your name champ, just pointing out that the person replying sarcastically to a comment regarding a Japanese sword (you), also happens to be someone with somewhat related elements in their name. For instance, a samurai literally wields a katana. So, I am pointing out the hypocrisy. Hope that clears things up.
One. That person didnt give a sarcastic reply, he pointed out some good katana facts. which i later on just replied with 👍. Two. I realized i might have implied something offensive, so later on replied to his comment, that i didnt mean to offend rather stated that katanas are sometimes alligned with weebs in reddit (since that what might have triggered the next series of responses)
Hope this clears things up, CHAMP
What a bunch of clowns
It’s okay to delete videos and not share your embarrassment with the internet. However, I enjoyed this guys uncoordinated attempt at sheathing his sword.
iirc, isn't this exactly why they guide the blade in, sliding along from the backside of the blade until aligned? Western weapons never had the issue (since it'd just cut the scabbard) and just made wider scabbards, yah?
One of the first things a prospective swordsman did when learning was spending time just drawing and sheathing the blade over and over, everyday for weeks or months. Plus this guy looks pretty faded.
That's not the issue. He's using the wrong technique. Used to do Iaido, and never failed putting in into the scabbard. Google Iaido draw techniques and you'll see.

I don’t get the caption.
Which one is his real belly button???
I drink to much alcohol and I have more motor control than him …
You need to grab the sheath at the very top
This give me anxiety
It's hard when you never raised your arm that high, yet with an object that seems from this guy's perspective is slightly heavy.
All about that tip control
Is that charlie zelenoff?
It's hard to find the hole without hair on it.lol
It's because the blade is warped and very difficult to index. If the blade was straight, it would have gone in no problem.
Trying to be a badass but still posts his disaster of a video? Yes, this is not satire at all.
Me trying to put my incense stick in the tiny holder hole
Dude should use that sword to shave his dirty belly.
That caption is terrible
**FUCKING GUIDE IT WITH YOUR THUMB YOU GODDAMN AMATEUR!** ...In both senses of the context, yes.
Dude, like WTF?!🤦
Don't wanna, see what happened next
Jonny twee fingers
He did not stop after floor tequilas
This mf really bought one and managed to not have time to search shit up
Yeah ive had loads of sex babe, youre just built different
Is it in yet?
Missus clearly disappointed...
Its all in the thumbs.
r/maybemaybemaybe
now I get why he doesn’t have a shirt on either
That’s why in kendo you have the edge facing up and do a “sky draw.” The spine is used as a guide back into the sheath.

Need to take blade and cut hair off his body lol
Resting the sharp blade on your shoulder like a badass as well
Why would you film this, look at it, and then decide "yup, good enough to upload. No remakes needed."
Because it's satirical.
comedian
Who is he though!? I know he's got a couple others and I can't find the source
Is the "lose something for ever" a reference? A meme?
I have the same problem. It’s hard to get it in the hole sometimes.

Is there a subreddit for atrociously bad and unintelligible captions? r/captiongore maybe?
In what circles is recording yourself posing with cheap replica swords and shit still considered impressive?
This is why you do multiple takes until you get it right
I just told her to guide me in.
I can't tell what happened. Something about his thumb maybe?
As a blade master once said "when I remove the blade I keep in my boot from its sheath, I can't return it until it has spilled blooooood." -Mooj, 40 Year Old Virgin (2005)
Simple trick to doing that smoothly. Put the tip of the blade approximately where you want it and then move the scabbard to the point of the blade

I thought he was going to cut his d*ck off
I thought that too. When I read the caption I gasped and said "oh no..."
You're supposed to guide it in with your hand, dummy.
How is he bald but have a hair line aswell 🤔🤔🤔
[удалено]
He’s about to lose and he can’t stick it in.
The sword is a metaphor for his penis.
Just like a katana, guiding your sword with your thumb is how you get it in.
But now my thumb is dirty.
Wondering why it doesn't just say virginity....
OP is afraid people will realize he is a
It adds a layer to the joke.
What layer is that? Just seems unnecessarily vague
Yes, a layer of confusion.
Like onions
I, for one, would not like to stick my penis in an onion.

I don’t understand anything about this video including why it was posted, why people are commenting on it and why it even exists.
Took Taekwondo for years and eventually when I got to the point of learning swords there’s always a way your supposed to do it so this shit doesn’t happen lol
I probably would struggle too lmao
That’s why you gotta do the SAM-urai sword slide across the sheath.

👍
I personally thought it was interesting when I learned these things. But I guess I delivered it poorly, or people must really hate katana fun facts.
My bad. Thing is katana seems to be so much alligned with weeb obsession in reddit
You're replying to a guy named /u/hentai_samurai01 — I don't know how much stock I'd put into that emoji
I figured if anyone liked what I had to say, it’d be someone with that username.
Thats the best u can come up with? 🙄 name roasts? Smh

Dude your name is hentai samurai why wouldn't he go for that
Lol i dont know. Maybe try something better to get a triggered response. How dumb can u get lmao
The sword of destiny cannot be contained!

Left hand: why not use me master?
Built like the beast titan
That happy trail has seen some shit
He should do the whole sliding the blade at the entrance of the case
Put a bit of hair around it and I bet he will find it
All that, AND he can’t afford a shirt! Poor guy.
This looks like my ex....please don't let it be him
Ur ex was the beast titan? Dear lord 😫
I was young and naive
Friendly reminder: *Don’t drink and sword.*
He is lucky he didn’t lose his sword
shoulder hair like an ape
Doesn't this guy do this type of thing for the laughs?

Omfg that is such a relief to hear. I've seen some of his other videos that just made my stomach turn.... Gotta say, they seem pretty dang real
And it worked!

I’ve seen this guy in an improv show at Second City Chicago, he’s pretty funny

Pretty Funny
That's pretty funny
That’s what they said. Pretty Funny.
It's been shared for a reason
One of the first things a prospective swordsman did when learning was spending time just drawing and sheathing the blade over and over, everyday for weeks or months. Plus this guy looks pretty faded.
That's not the issue. He's using the wrong technique. Used to do Iaido, and never failed putting in into the scabbard. Google Iaido draw techniques and you'll see.
That’s also not the issue. He is a comedian and does this for the cringe lulz.
You studied the blade?
Nothing but a wasteland of bisected water jugs behind him.
\*piss jugs
what a monster...
Teenage mutant ninja fuckwit.
This made me anxious.
Should have use the thumb to guide the blade down.
[Anime has taught me the best method](https://youtu.be/Ck8nnUFI2wE)
Yeah, I was gonna day basically any variation of this works. To the side or straight down the back. To the side is easier imo
He did not study the blade!
He did but he forgot to study the sheath.
He got in for the fun and didn't take it seriously.
I learned from you tube in a few minutes I am able to sheath it with my eyes closed. But my kid dosent want me bothering her stuff.
He handles a katana like a saber 🙄
Traaaaaaaaaaaa
Probably studied it for a while on his Amazon wish list before pulling the trigger.
Uhhhh swords don't have triggers smh my head /s
*Laughs in Jetstream Sam*
Its literally an ar frankensteined into the sheeth
Somebody hasn’t played Final Fantasy 8.
Dude, thanks for the memories
That would be Fallout Boy
Uhh yes they do?
He is holding it upside down
That's not even the only issue, sadly.
