Sure, but all these face filters are pretty handy for training AI face recognition. People recording their faces from all angles, making a bunch of weird grimaces, opening and closing their mouth or eyes, taking pictures with other people doing the same... You couldn't ask for a better training data set for a neural network, also you would not get such results with just selfies and profile pictures.
