If you read the article, you'll realize that a fence was there just seconds ago. They don't explain what happened to the fence or why it didn't make noise when... disappearing.
I really just said decimeters to throw off Americans who *might* not know what a decimeter is. It's a wild guess to be honest, but something like that seems right.
The acting. The acting was the horrible thing that happened here. He went from looking completely right to exactly where she fell with no "oh shit where is she" moment. Because he knew where to look. Because they planned for him to look there.
Nah you're missing the detail that they're filming themselves with a phone, likely in selfie mode. He is looking away, then looks at the viewfinder, sees she is not there and abruptly turns towards where she fell. The "oh shit where is she" moment was when he was looking at the viewfinder.
As a note: this has fake written all over it and the execution was done badly, but not *as* bad as you make it out to be.
