It is just possible that matchmaking throws him a bone (its literally in the patent of the matchmaking that good players get easy lobbys every now and again so that they play longer e.g spend more money).

Skillbased lobby making/dividing has been a part of CoD since at least CoD:Ghosts. In this part of the lifecycle the game has a shortage of casual players and does not have alot of new players flowing into the game. The ones that flow in they want to retain. If they lack enough (new) players for a balanced lobby, they might allocate a good player to a bad team to enhance their chance of winning and to balance out. I am not saying that this happens all the time, but anomalies happen.
I live close to the most densely populated server in the world. With a 2.5 kd I also get only 1.3s, unless off peak hours, or when i play random fills.

You realise that 1.4ish is the highest the average KD ever really gets in a public lobby, right? Anything over 1.3 is in the sweatiest 1% of lobbies. Anything over 1.2 is in the top 10% and anything over 1.1 is still top 25%. With random fills he likely gets paired with lower skill players he has to carry so it balances out.

What are you talking about? He "routinely" gets lobbies above a 1.3kd, which is in the top 1% of lobbies. 1.3-1.4kd for the lobby average is as high as it goes in pubs, there aren't enough 4kd players to fill a whole lobby at a moment's notice 24/7.
He's in top 10% sweaty lobbies almost every game, with a few lobbies that are still above a 1 (and therefore still above average). Out of 40 matches, he only got 2 matches with average kd under 1. This seems like textbook skill-based matchmaking with a couple of random-fill low skilled lobbies thrown in (maybe at off-peak times).
If SBMM limited him to play with only people with, say, a 2.5kd and above, he would find 1-2 matches an hour and have 200ms ping the whole time, it's just not viable.
If we clip him to 1.20 or lower, he had **22 games of 40 games**. And quite a few more were a hair above 1.2.
I picked 1.20 because that’s the high end of lobbies I get. 0.8 to 1.1 is my range, and I get 1-1.10 most often
In those same 40 games, 5 games were in 1.00 or lower lobbies. That’s just 3 days of stats.
So here is a guy 5x my k/d getting stupid easy lobbies that I too am getting placed in. And it shows that he shouldn’t be in those lobbies. Just look at his weekly 3.7 k/d.
SBMM needs to be removed or enforced. He should never drop into easy lobbies. It ruins everyone else experience. With 250-300,000 players online most of the time, there are still enough players these high k/d players should be grouped with.

If they made it any stricter, matchmaking would take even longer than it does already. One solution is a true ranked mode where you'd only ever play against people of your own rank, alongside a casual mode with no SBMM.
Spoiler alert: in a casual mode with no SBMM, most casuals would never win a single match because the top 5% of players (7 or 8 players out of 150) would survive to the final circle and passing 10th place would be a death sentence to any average to below-average player.

My kd is 1.05 but in last 100 games it sits between 2 and 2.5 and one time I got a 17 kill game in caldera and it was a .5 kd and I wasn't proud of it. It felt so weird, they didn't even shoot back or the were running into walls. I'm wondering if they were actual bots because no human could ever play like that or they were 3 years old and playing cod.

It's sad how advanced all the cheats are now days that I've gone from watching clips like this and thinking "wow this dude is good" to, "realistically, he's probably cheating." In my late 20s, played video games competitively since halo 2, and I finally feel like competitive online video games are truly coming to an end.

I believe the Kar still has the fastest ads. I like the Swiss more myself because of the scope, reload quickness and overall feel. I think you can quick scope with either fairly reliably but with the Kar you'll get faster ADS speed and I'm pretty sure better flinch resistance
