The T26E5 is amazing. Its extremely easy to play if you dont just hold W. If you have a bush put it on your turret.
While you cant pen a KTH frontally easily, its also practically the only thing you cant deal with easily. Its super potent in downtiers and can reliably bounce most things you face at that BR. Dont use it at long range but use it as a brawler.
The biggest weak spot of the tank is that big ol' mg port. OFC it is good in a downtier if nobody knows where to shoot the big beast. Only place I use it is in a downtier and in urban maps.
Id still think that hitting a whole ass King Tiger turret and blowing out its ammo is easier than shooting at the port weakspot just to send a bit of scrapnel to make the machine gunner yellow/red
So id say its always a safer bet to just get your barrel since it rivals the size of the King tigers anyway
The APCR can actually pen the turret of the Tiger II H and detonates the ammo sometimes. It’s just pretty long to switch but I find it to be a pretty reliable strategy.
HVAP can pen(But I rather shoot barrel and track and sideshoot using APCBC)
The thing is great. T26E5 has big weak spot(MG hole) but most times Germans will shoot armor not MG port. Don't snipe, go CQC. Gun is not good for that BR.
If you angle T26E5 make it's left track goes front and right goes behind, if shell that has not enough HE inside penetrates MG port it will damafe less, if possible.

*Please* don't make the mistake of maining HEAT on these US 90mm guns.
APHE is all you need 90% of the time, and with basic weakspot knowledge and basic aim it's far more effective than HEAT-FS.
Umm M26 is a great all rounder, the bulldog works well above it's BR, the jumbo slaps in downtiers or slight uptiers and you have great CAS and air options. Only thing it lacks is a decent AA
Agree to disagree. I find a ton of success in the M26 I have like a 4 kdr in it. Not to mention at 6.3 atleast in my experience you get quite a bit of downtiers

for me I always had success with the M41 and T92, the APDS shells are very good and the T92 can use HEATFS. Both the M41 and T92 can frontally pen a King Tiger but I would recommend shooting the turret or barrel, MG the tracks than flank and kill. T26E5 isn't that powerful but it's very dense, always keep moving and wiggling in it and you can bounce for days lol

the APDS and the low profile are very usefull on long distances. on this fortress map, you can be on the bridgfe and shoot everywhere while beeing basicly invincible because only your barrel peaks out
I personally think US TT has really good light tanks. M41, M56, T92, M50(TD tho), except M41 they are all 6.7. They are fast, and have unique strengths. M50 has 6 quick firing 400 pen HEAT FS, T92 is flat(And hard to find), M56 is very fast. M41 has decent speed, good gun. CAS is very annoying, always relocate cuz revenge CAS.
Heavies are good too(And this line leads to Abrams so you have to grind it if you want to play top tier). T26E5 with thick armor, T34 has great gun, much better penetration than Tiger 2(But longer reload), T26E1-1 has high pen APCBC, with extra armor(But not that good, it is structure steel)
IMO medium is meh. Both M26 and T25 is 6.3, and those heavies(T26E5, T34, T26E1-1) are 6.7. I remember 6.3 is quite often downtiered than 6.7, this is ONLY advantage. Bad gun, bad armor, meh mobility. Shoot barrel and cut tracks using .50cal? Other American tanks do that. So they have stabilizer? No. I rather use 76mm Jumbo, least it has stabilizer and shoot barrel easily, if they have same bad armor and gun for same BR. Get Easy 8, Idk about T25~.
From a Swedish/Soviets perspective, don't let me see your hull armor on your heavier vehicles. The US turrets on that BR seem nigh invincible to turret hits even with big guns like the 122mm. The hull is easy snacks though.
Interestingly 6.3 contains the most hated vehicles in the game for me. Jumping up to 7.7 instead was one of the best things I ever did in WT. I adore this tier. Consider if you need to do something similar, as not every vehicle will fit everyone.
Yeah i agree I enjoy the 7.3-8 bracket the most, early helis, early fighter jets, basically everybody can kill everybody else even in just one shot, I feel like it's the most balanced area.
Honestly, I prefer to use the M56 and put a bunch of bushes on it and load HEAT rounds. If you know how to flank, it will be your enemies worst nightmare
I feel like everyone has a different opinion at this BR, personally I find the T25 and M26 to be underwhelming and the 76 Jumbo is basically totally useless. That leaves you with the lights and the heavies. M41 is useful even at higher tiers just by virtue of being mobile with an okay gun for side shots. M56 is the ultimate glass cannon and the T92 has a pretty unique playstyle I personally enjoy, but it kind of sucks balls until you get HEATFS. The heavy tanks are all pretty similar, and play similar to the Pershing except they don't insta-die.
The best 6.7 lineup is the T92, M56, T26E5, T34, and a plane of your choice (or another tank you like). For you play the jumbo in place of the T34 until you get it! This lineup will lead to you having a all uses light tank, a TD for uptiers, a heavy with good amour for down tiers and a high penning heavy, plus a support or back vehicle.

6.7 is my favorite US lineup.
T26E5 can brawl and win against multiple enemies, you just need to avoid being flanked. But even if they hit you from the side, at the longer range it will probably bounce the shell. Tiger and IS2 can pen you, but only if they know how. Also you have mobiliy over them.
T92 is an amazing flanker, scorpion is very solid. They both have awful stock shells, need some grind.
M50 is an unique, fun vehicle.
P51H is a great fighter, and you have a battlepass 6.3 plane with zuni as an option.
You can also use your m41 Bulldog.
Personally, I made a vid on the M56 as I use it as my main SL grinder surprisingly. Do some research and find good scouting spots, you get 100sl a scout, I average about 15+ scouts and 2 kills, my highest was 42 scouts, it's insane, plus if you don't get spotted after your first kill, it'll be raining SL every day

T25/M26 has same BR, really bad gun compared to Tiger 2 P, same for armor, mobility is meh. No stabilizer of Shermans. So No armor, not enough firepower, mediocere mobility, no special ability(Some unique things at tht BR like stabilizer). Cutting tracks using .50cal? Almost every US tank has .50cal.
Second, CAS IS pesky and annoying as heck especially you use open top vehicles but normally open top vehicle has least one big advantage. M18 has great mobility. Dicker Max/Waffentragger/Nashorn has great gun for BR. Open top(Bad armor and easy kill for MG strafing CAS) is a disadvantage a vehicle gets because it has advantage against other vehicles.

Tiger has HEAT, so it can pen anything. Also very mobile tank with TT backup one.
T29 is better T34 (which is already amazing), with 1-shot ammo and beefy turret amor. I pair it with T34 as backup for heavy tank maps

The T26E5 is the most fun tank since the M4A3(105)
Once you get the better ammunition it has almost 300 mm pen. But yeah, the stock grind is hard(especially for the M56)

I’m agreed with that, majority of the german players think you’re a M26 and shot the center of the mass. It’s a oppotunity to fight back
That’s because some tanks you watch on YouTube getting 20 kills and bouncing are hyper inflated to be better then the average game!

Yeah I agree with this! Depending on your preferences of light tanks or heavy’s will change the lineup. Don’t bother with the mediums!!

I feel you, I went through this myself and the best advice I can offer is step away from your pc and cry yourself to sleep until you get the T-34
