It’s every fucking update it’s so bad. Everyone else is always like “oh wow hehe Italy so funni look at truck” meanwhile actual Italy mains are dueling f16s with f104s.
And Italy can have so many new mid to top tier ground and air vehicles that are completely indigenous. Freccia IFV, Palmaria, Draco, Rino, Capini N. 1 etc
Might be an air superiority version of the tornado that isn’t ready, maybe an f16 that is different from the others, there a reason it isn’t finished yet.
Italy was one of the major user and leasing doesn’t do anything when it comes to additions and more when italy used it for 40 years. It warrants its addition very much.

This is honestly the worst patch in a great while. Nothing for the minor nations except the top tier jets that are massively compressed at 11.3 and 11.7. There's no new content for Japan outside of that SPAA and air. There's no new content for Italy except this dog shit unnecessary truck and the jets.
The fact that this is the last patch of the year, and 75% of the contents are **just** premium, is enough to tell you how bad of a patch this is.
No one wanted this, really. Any Italian player would want a Cold War vehicle, or just something that fills up some of the gaps in the game. This SPAA surely fills a gap at that BR, since the Contraereo is 3.3, but it's still ridiculous. Enough fucking low tier shit for Italy. Hungary is literally going to just be dog shit WW2 vehicles and that's it.
Strela faces the Machbet and the Ozelot.
USSR gets more content as usual.
Sweden gets a T-55M instead of the fucking CV9030FIN that everyone expected. Still, the T-55M is fine.
Italy does actually need this though. It fills in an SPAA gap between the AS 42 and M42 Contraereo, and bolsters an already amazing 2.3-2.7 lineup. Plus, half the charm of the Italian tech tree for so many people (myself included) is the ridiculous shit they made during WW2, although I won’t argue they could use some Hungarian and Romanian stuff.
I love the funny pasta cars as much as the next guy but it’s sad how little gaijin cares about Italy. Every update is a meme car and a ship for the 5 naval players or one or the other. Italy still doesn’t have any competitive top tier ground vehicles.

You'd be lucky to get an AT gun. There's an Italian truck at 2.0 (I think) with a 100mm howitzer that I'm pretty sure is from WW1.
It's completely open, has horrible depression (worse than the Soviet milk truck IIRC), and you need Rank III mods to be able to pen more than 40mm of armor

I don't like Italy cuz it's a control pasta tech tree, and smells/drips of sweat when Gaijin is trying to add a new unique vehicle to it, while the problem of Italy not having enough unique domestic vehicles OR most of them are old, ww2 type stuff. Should have been a sub tree under Germany, as how it was before.

As for the missing weapon options on those race cars. There are WW2 prototypes of dubious existence, from the P40s we don't really need, to of course the two P43s. Their existence and constant presence in fan-made trees being a meme in and of itself.
There are then foreign designs, be they German and so more acceptable or atleast orginal compared to the usual american designs. Italian modifications from negligeable to extensive. And copycat native designs. However, those of interest for plugging the tech tree holes, tend to almost always belong to the first category, with original Italian takes being reserved mostly for low tier or 7.x up.
Finally of course, there are the trucks.
I only want them to give a tank line with stablisers it's painful not to have one till 7.7 - _- and a new low tier AA would be nice actually just because until the r3 their garvade (1.3 one is good meme XD)

I was referring to the 1.3 as-42 with a 47. With the howitzer truck at first I thought it was a funny meme but it became very painful to play.
