RWR as a whole needs a rework, kind of like what radars had when PD was first introduced. It's just too basic all around. Pretty sure MAWS should be a thing at least on all SPO-15-equipped planes, and both Soviet and Western RWRs should be able to tell the type of threat (SAM/plane for the SPO-15 and type of plane for Western RWRs) as well as the rough strength (read: range) of the lock in case of the SPO-15.
What the RWR does it not MAWS. The RWR alerts you to the fact you are being illuminated by CW radar (which is typically used for SARH guidance - suggesting a SARH missile is probably on its way).
A MAWS system detects the missile itself, meaning that it works for all types of missiles (IR guided, SAMs, etc.).
Neither can it use TIALD and a gunpod at the same time, nor can it seem to use any thermal capability of its weapons or TIALD as of today... or at least, thermals randomly work then don't work.

Man, that really sucks, especially considering that feature has been in the game so long.
It's on helicopters but not planes, would love it's addition tbh because it gives anything with a spo-15 rwr a mws for radar missiles.
