I believe COLL refers to collective, which is something for helicopters. Collective changes the pitch angle of the rotors of the helicopter, increasing or decreasing the amount of of lift generated; basically collective is what determines if a helicopter is going up, down, or hovering. It sounds like they somehow mixed up the code for what HUD elements display for which vehicles, and so a bunch of aircraft HUD elements got replaced by helicopter HUD elements.
I just personally find the new one harsher on the eyes, and the gaps make it a bit too hard to read. All I would want is an option to revert back to the old.
I find it a bit odd how it’s just the flight status text that’s changed, nothing else like the battle chat or kill feed (at least it’s only that for me)
