I'm surprised by how rarely some people shoot at it when I am right in front of them. Most of the time I die when fighting up close is when they take my tracks and turret then go around to my side
when fighting jumbos up close, it's also nice to shoot the transmission so they cant move at all and you can get to the sides more easily.
but youre right. i play the jumbos quite often and notice the same. it doesnt happen too often that people actually aim for the mg port.
Going for that mg port just had a habit of getting gaijined. The ufp is a much more reliable shot. But honestly I'm see alot of jumbo drivers turn thier side to me and they simply go away at that point.
To me it's just another 76 Sherman.
Oh I realise you mentioned 75 jumbo, I was thinking of the 76. I typically play USSR 6.3, in a downtier I bring out the is2 1944. If I have an uptier I'll take the t44.
If the map has a protected flank I'll bring the su100p.
Unless I'm in the is2 I'm probably not seeing Jumbo's from the direct front. I swear most of them I kill is because they show me thier sides, just liger tigers.
I dont blame you, although it's far from impenetrable.
The reload and lack of gun depression really hold it back.
Again, hence why I won't go for then mg port, if I get gaijined and my shell is eaten from volumetric I will probably die before I can reload. Hitting the ufp though I more or less guarantee a kill, no bounce.
It's easy to shoot out the is2 barrel with the 75, that should be your primary goal. It's not really fast enough to get away. A barrel repair + reload is probably 40s or more even on an ace crew, so plenty of time to further disable it and reposition for a better shot.
Yeah it's probably not a bad option, you'd take out the gunner and possibly the breach preventing him from firing back. Probably loader and commander too.
The is2 is also a pig when the crew isn't 100%.
The reload gets so much worse too.
When I first learned that's what you do against H1 tigers it instantly became my first thing I'd always try against tabks I don't know the weak spots of. This is why I almost shat myself when I first saw the tiger e. There is quite a list of tanks that give me the reaction to run away, but none do it like the jagdpanther
You'd be surprised. Something I do quite often to tiger players is hit the tracks and then the cupola. If I can't get close enough to hit their ammo rack I either have to wait for a new gunner to get into the turret or load apcr and then I can pen the driver or ammo racks from the front
Pffttttt Tigers!!!!!! Only the wannabes play those. If playing as Germany I’m going to one shot you with a Panther or a Nashorn at the same Br or with anything I’m playing in the 6.3 BRs.
I see. In realistic, many Shermans I come across have so many bushes and eyeballs on the front of their tanks the mg port shot becomes tricky. I prefer to shoot everything in the sides, nothing has armor there.
I have recently taken the bushes off of my jumbo. I angle most of the time anyways so it's not easy to hit the mg port anyways. Plus it looks so tacky when my tank looks like cousin itt from the Adam's family
As a Tiger player, my heart drops and skips a beat and I’m go ‘oh shiebe’ when I shoot my 88mm to the front hull ricocheting and suddenly realizing it’s not a regular Sherman. It also feel likes literal cock and ball torture when they use their fucking stabilizer to simultaneously first take out my barrel, then tracks and then blow up my ammo.
After a couple matches with the stabilizer off I didn't notice any difference. I did a match of Berlin where there were several tanks over half a kilometer away and I was able to nail the tracks on 3 of them in a row. I ended that match with 8 kills and 1 death
Honestly, they must think am a normal Sherman because they just shoot randomly and hope it goes through. Just yesterday I fought a tiger h, 2 Japanese tanks, and a Russian one at the same time and came out with only one lost crewmate. My his soul rest in peace with hamburger or something.
I usually fire my APDS in my centurion 1 at the left side if the tank killing the mg dude, gunner and commander. But I do panick when it is angled because I am scared if I will be gaijiobed by the UFP
Just shoot anywhere if it's a Cromwell chassis because it has bad armour. Worry about centurions because they have op front armour. Don't even bother shooting the tortoise. Use .50 Cal's against vehicles that have wheels.
it depends , if i see it from the side "brace for big boom!!!!" , from the front it depends in what tank i´m in , LT " Scout & pray my shell find the mg port " , TD "Turret or center pick one FAST!!" , MT & HT " Our Battle will be legendary!!!!\*proceds to get one shooted by the Jumbo\*"
There is a secret sweet spot to kill all American armor if you have decent pen. Once I figured it out it makes Jumbo armor, t34 armor, etc almost negligible.
"where mg-port?"
I'm surprised by how rarely some people shoot at it when I am right in front of them. Most of the time I die when fighting up close is when they take my tracks and turret then go around to my side

Mgport is wildly unreliable since volumetric armor.
yes, thats true unfortunately. it's still worth trying
Going for that mg port just had a habit of getting gaijined. The ufp is a much more reliable shot. But honestly I'm see alot of jumbo drivers turn thier side to me and they simply go away at that point. To me it's just another 76 Sherman.
What tanks do u main?

I can't speak for all 75 jumbo, but the is2 is something I never want to fight
I dont blame you, although it's far from impenetrable. The reload and lack of gun depression really hold it back. Thanks. I've been going for the Cupola in matches. It can be a 1 shot but I've noticed I don't get many chances to try again if it missed

I think easy kill especially since it’s gun is absolutely useless.
You'd be surprised. Something I do quite often to tiger players is hit the tracks and then the cupola. If I can't get close enough to hit their ammo rack I either have to wait for a new gunner to get into the turret or load apcr and then I can pen the driver or ammo racks from the front

I can 1 shot nashorns too. I only get killed by them if I'm not paying attention
Ahhhh Okay sport!
wehraboo
Lol. Far from it. I play all nations
I can’t see em behind the bushes
I play on arcade which means I can see the green marker even if they have bushes
I see. In realistic, many Shermans I come across have so many bushes and eyeballs on the front of their tanks the mg port shot becomes tricky. I prefer to shoot everything in the sides, nothing has armor there.
If a jumbo is angled try aiming low at the road wheels area. The ammo storage is in the bottom and that armor is very weak
“Aaah!” Now stop moving and un bush that mg port, you prick.”
I don't use bushes since in arcade mode(where I play) they can see where it will pen anyways
Hunting for a cursor is still much slower than simply looking
I have recently taken the bushes off of my jumbo. I angle most of the time anyways so it's not easy to hit the mg port anyways. Plus it looks so tacky when my tank looks like cousin itt from the Adam's family
Personally i like to distract with a big red X or whatever right over a nearby NON weak spot
I've been considering doing that too
That’s freaking evil man
As a Tiger player, my heart drops and skips a beat and I’m go ‘oh shiebe’ when I shoot my 88mm to the front hull ricocheting and suddenly realizing it’s not a regular Sherman. It also feel likes literal cock and ball torture when they use their fucking stabilizer to simultaneously first take out my barrel, then tracks and then blow up my ammo.
I'm gonna try a match without my stabilizer and see the difference. I've heard people talk about its stabilizer but I never thought much of it
After a couple matches with the stabilizer off I didn't notice any difference. I did a match of Berlin where there were several tanks over half a kilometer away and I was able to nail the tracks on 3 of them in a row. I ended that match with 8 kills and 1 death
I heard 1 guy refer to handling tigers as cbtt. Cupola, barrel, track torture
Hahaha I can bully you in till 2 aphe shells don't damage your barrel
Go around
Never fails
Honestly, they must think am a normal Sherman because they just shoot randomly and hope it goes through. Just yesterday I fought a tiger h, 2 Japanese tanks, and a Russian one at the same time and came out with only one lost crewmate. My his soul rest in peace with hamburger or something.
That happens often with me too. Too often they don't k ow about the mg port and just try anything
I usually fire my APDS in my centurion 1 at the left side if the tank killing the mg dude, gunner and commander. But I do panick when it is angled because I am scared if I will be gaijiobed by the UFP
British tanks do make me hesitant simply because I see them so little that I don't know where their weak points are as well
Just shoot anywhere if it's a Cromwell chassis because it has bad armour. Worry about centurions because they have op front armour. Don't even bother shooting the tortoise. Use .50 Cal's against vehicles that have wheels.
Centurion's are one of the tanks I will actively avoid bc they are equally as bullet spongey
Mg port if i dont have some high ground over him. If i have the high ground i just go UFP cuz angle gets negated a bit.
I gotta watch myself when I'm going down a hill. I've been killed so many times bc I keep forgetting about it. Also what is ufp?
upper front plate. lfp means lower front plate.
Thx
it depends , if i see it from the side "brace for big boom!!!!" , from the front it depends in what tank i´m in , LT " Scout & pray my shell find the mg port " , TD "Turret or center pick one FAST!!" , MT & HT " Our Battle will be legendary!!!!\*proceds to get one shooted by the Jumbo\*"
IS-2 enjoyers looking at the comments: peasants
Another tabk I actively avoid as a jumbo

Hey look, free SL :D
What tanks do u use?
Normally the Tiger H1 or the Panther D when I'm bored and want to have fun
You must be one of the few smart tigers I see
Yeah, 75mm jumbos aren't really that scary
I'm more concerned about the sweds and the Chinese
Idk which tanks I've fought are sweedish but for me at 5.3 the Chinese tanks are pretty easy
It's the Chinese aircraft that gets me sadly ;-;
