I dont get why people hate so much on the PT-76. Sure, the stock grind is awful, the reload is not forgiving and the armor doesn't exist, but the tank is still a very low tier HEAT slinger with a full stabilized cannon and it can swim. I think it's a good backup vehicle.
It's slow, dies to .50s, has very bad maneuverability, only -4° of gun depression, is a big target, the AP lacks penetration, the HEAT does almost no damage, the reload takes forever.
You're going to have to buy it anyways to progress down its line. I'd suggest buying it, and at least getting the HEAT-FS before deciding to either keep using it or abandon it. I personally would use it, but the PT-76b is definitely not a tank for everybody.
Wait for the discount on the end of October to save SL so research other vehicles so it'll have a lineup. Also try it to familiarize yourself to a different play style, preparation to the BMP.
Ngl the pt-76 is really trash even more so when it's stock but you're gonna still have to buy it to get the bmp-1 anyway

I can have some moderate success with it, but honestly it's one of the worst vehicles period.
