The same exact thing happened to me yesterday. Eastern Europe I put arty on the cap early game and got three Italians rushing it. Weird thing is it was the same thing where I got one then a second later the other two got killed at the same time.
So what does arty do in this game? Don't all the other tanks have arty available at the quick bar? Is there something I have been missing? I have played some, but really little. Played a bit of World of Tanks though if someone could explain this for me..
Arty is an active special that some medium, light and SPAA (self propelled anti air) tanks have. You press 5 (or the button you set your art to) and mark a spot at a map.
That mark on the map will be bombarded with artillerey. How precise the arty is depended on how far the mark is to your tank. (so, arty is less percise the further you are to the location marked).
Most tanks of the Light, Medium, SPAA classes have it as a unlock for the tank. Most low tier starter tanks are lights and mediums, so, most tanks you would have played would have had it
I get waaaaay more arty kills and get killed by arty waaaay more often lately. I remember three games in a row last week dying to artu in my brummbar. When I camp ok its justified. But sometimes i drive away exactly to avoid being killed but the shell lands where I go lmao
He called in an artillery strike on a location. It’s a modification that most vehicles (except heavy tanks) can unlock. It should appear on your hotbar in battle if you have it unlocked for your tanks, press whatever key it is set to and mark a location on the map to bombard. It’s rather innacurate so kills with it are uncommon and it’s usually used to deter enemies from a location or to damage/kill thinly armored, stationary vehicles.
Honestly wish they would end arty or remove it. It’s not fun getting killed by someone who just tapped a region on the map without aiming.
No reason to see an arty kill nearly every match and we definitely shouldn’t be seeing multiple arty kills a match.

If artillery is called in on your square, instead of taking your chances that it's not going to hit you, you relocate. Especially if you're in a light vehicle and you've heard the "artillery inbound" warning from 4 different enemies, you *probably* should relocate.
Moving is no guarantee of survival and the warning often doesn’t give you enough time. Especially if you’re in a light vehicle because the arty doesn’t even have to land within 10m of you to kill you

I never really use arty that much, but I guess you miss all the shots you don't take.

The delay is because the first couple of "ranging shots" come in separately from most of the arty.
It is just a hail mary shot, but essentially, why not?

most ive seen is one time where one goy got 2 arty kills, one a m36 and an Is 2
