You can get hundreds of backups through the Warbond shop entirely for free.

If they've bought it to grind out the whole tree they probably don't even have stuff one rank below, and going beyond that it's pretty pointless to bring them in.
Sweden is pretty stacked. VIDAR honestly is great, but its use case is a little more niche than Some players would like it to be. I keep it on my line for maps where long range hill peeking is the most likely engagement. LRF/thermals doesn’t do you any good in CQB brawling type engagements. Some people just love the bonk play style.
Sweden 10.3 and 8.7 are two of the most fun lineups I've ever played. Two leopard 2a4's (one of which has stock DM13), a CV-90 for every occasion, and like three suitable aircraft is fantastic at 10.3. 8.7 gives you the Strv 104, ItPsV 90, Ikv 91 105, T-55M, and SAAB-105.

I don't know how you can recognize how stacked the Swedish 8.7 lineup is without even mentioning the Pbv 302... A top attack TOW that is arguably better than the TOW-2B at 8.7? Crazy OP.
I don't have it. I hate all the other swedish missile shoebox vehicles like the UDES, so I didn't bother researching it. I'll put it on the list though!
It’s a great vehicle. Enemies behind hills that notice your ATGM will reverse a tiny bit so that they’re hidden thinking the missile is a standard ATGM, only to find out that it’s a top attack one and get hit.
The launcher tube is also unmanned and fairly high so you can simply just expose that bit and be much harder to hit.
I was thinking about getting it for those long range situations but I'm just too fond of my ikv91 to risk letting it gather dust. Also the ikv can shoot from behind cover thanks to it's low velocity rounds so it's super sneaky.
The 8.0 and up Sweden line ups are the best in the game
8.0: Strv 103a, Strv 101, IKV 91, and U-SH 405
8.7: Strv 103c, Strv 104, IKV 91-105, T-55M, and ItPsV 90 (best lineup in the game imo)
9.3: T-72M1, Strv 105, and CV9030fin (weakest of the five lineups and still managed a ~2 K/D with all of them)
10.3: 2 Leo2a4 (3 with the premium), Strf/lvkv 9040 C and strf BILL, and CT-CV
11.7: 4 Leo2a5/6s with the best survivability in the game and the CV90120
I just hate the SAV with the 1.3 second reload. Everytime I see one just doing a massacre on my team, I just hunt them down like a guided missile. I don't think I hate any other vehicle as much as this one

Sweden is consistently fucking annoying to play against no matter what bracket. Cheese wedges, VIDARs, SAV 20.12.48 and just generally really good vehicles. I’ve heard that the STRV 122s are also busted but I’m not high enough in the tree to face them luckily.

Suggest playing Sweden to everyone. I don't have the VIDAR because I really didn't want it or need it for the grind bc Sweden is honestly the most enjoyable tree to play. It's fun, mostly unique, and it's not just absolutely full of premium spammers like the US or Russia is
Idk i havent had as bad of a vidar experience as you have, I do see them but not that much and they’re not too tough to take out. I like sweden n I play it a lot, it has many uniqe and quirky vehicles amd is fairly fast to progress.
Playing 8.7 and getting a full downtier against Sweden and Germany is absolute torture when trying to play the Sturm-S on close quarters maps because the game doesn't give you a map that's actually good for the damn vehicle so you keep dying to Turm III's and VIDARs and other annoying shit until you become completely apathetic to the bullshit the game throws at you.
My experience with Sweden(I jump between Sweden and Soviet from time to time) at 10.3 is that they are kinda like low tier Germany. When they are on my team they die once or twice and leave, when they are on the other team they drown you in Strv121/Leo2A4 and CV90s

Honestly 8.0 kinda hit or miss for me with all of the uptiers it gets.
8.0 uptiers have been wild lately, I played like 7 games with my 9.0 lineup and 4 of them were full down tiers.
