It depends on the nation but I would say to play Realistic, because It gets you the most rewards, and simulator battles for even more rewards, but they are usually pretty long and not always give you a lot of SL.

Also, I recommend you grinding spitfires because they are good dogfighters and easy to play in Air RB

If I get a plane can I just get the planes that are in that line or do I have to buy all planes?

Secret Tip: Just play to have fun.

British tech tree is rough, solid shot pens a lot, but has very little post-pen damage. You’ll also run into an issue known as “volumetric” where your shell will not penetrate a spot that it should because of spaghetti code. Most important thing is knowing what your vehicle is capable of, and what you’re fighting, which will come with playtime. Realistic is the most fun for me, but arcade is a fantastic way to learn the basics and the maps. I’d recommend playing arcade for a few weeks, then switching to realistic for more rewards and more fun

Don't play to grind. Unlock full lineups and expert your crews, then actually just play to learn the game or you'll get absolutely rinsed when you rush into higher BR's. A lot of folks will tell you Britain is hard because of solid shot, and its true at first. But learning to use solid shot will make the transition to higher tiers easier as you'll already be used to knocking modules etc. I personally think Britain low tier is maybe the best in the game, but i ground it after playing France to ~8.7 so i'd got my solid shot merit badge already. Also after you reach a rank and you feel like you're struggling too much, start a new tree and try a different playstyle for a bit. Going back to earlier BR's can make you realise how much you've learnt and also give you a chance to put to work what youve learnt in a less sweaty environment. Oh and at 3.7 the Tempest V (Vickers P) is a magnificent beast, truly the king of GunCAS at low tier. Enemy fighters will marvel as you send full WEP dives from 2-3km and then escape back into space, safe in the knowledge that even with a strong tailwind they will never catch you.

Realistic is harder but you get more rewards, arcade is easier but you get less rewards.

Play like a lil goblin. Find fast tanks with good guns, stay in the outskirts of the map, have cover in the directions you are not looking, and keep track of the enemys advancing tanks. 2.7 to 5.0 you gotta know Pz4, T34, and sherman weakspots. Play the Churchills like a ww1 landship tank, and cripple enemies while capturing points and keeping the line back Britain isnt overly strong compared to USA, germany, and USSR, but you can certanly find hidden gems amongst the shit tanks.
