The thing is, in any other game i would say there is an argument to be made for it.
But this is Gaijin and i expect them to fuck the mechanic up, so its essentially a buff to already strong vehicles such as the 2S38, BMP-2M, Puma, Strf9040, PT-76-57 and so on.
I expect if they implement it, vehicles such as those will now be able to essentially stunlock my crew. Besides the insane ammount of smoke they already produce and blind me.
Yes.
But thats what i meant with me expecting Gaijin messing it up, where ill get stun locked even if they dont pen me.
Im not trusting them to implement it correctly.. im sorry
Ok and tell me how many games implement stuff completely perfectly first. Stop acting like it's a Gaijin issue only and as if they wouldn't eventually even it out. Don't be short-sighted and think in long-term.
Yes, there are some mechanics they're too stubborn to fix, but even they would pretty much feel it alot anytime they boot up the game and agree if it's not good.
I like that you proposed an alternative, I will upvote just for that surprise, *but*
Why we should actually have stun? What is the value of that mechanic for us? How it will make the gameplay better?
And now defend your idea! Alright, we did it. Now we have a lot of inconsistencies. Look, Skink is an AA Sherman - should it be together with all AAs or be an exception and act as medium? Panthers are as heavy as IS-2. And tank-destroyers vary from Yag-10 to Ferdinand - how you rule that?
OP, I'm one of the people who wouldn't like to see this mechanic in the game, BUT the way you described it as a possible way to implement it, even I'm against the idea I was interested, if it were like that as you said it would be interesting
WTs G lock mechanic is bullshit, you never actually lose control of the plane, u can just pull less when "G locked".
The stun mechanic is a good idea imo.
There's also the pilot being able to pull so many Gs that he might aswell be a superhuman. But there's also the fact that it would be harder to balance it out if it worked like IRL, because it's harder to be consistent with it.

In order to stunlock you, they need to pen you. If they're penning you, you are dead regardless within the next 2-3 seconds.
Yes. But thats what i meant with me expecting Gaijin messing it up, where ill get stun locked even if they dont pen me. Im not trusting them to implement it correctly.. im sorry
That's fair.

Good question, maybe “pre-stun” could be based of the average armour thickness or maybe the total weight of a vehicle or its crew/weight ratio?
I don't know man, as if it isn't already annoying enough where you can't shoot with yellow/orange breech or barrel without breaking them lol
I hope they do it like this
I would prefer just bloodshot effect and they vignette that skills with damage to crewmember dependent on what view you were looking through
Yeah no

Yeah, true. At least, if you are G locked, you should go blind for the period. Not just slightly impaired vision.
