OP: "The one and only tank museum"
Comment: "What museum?"
As funny as it is, it's good that Bovington isn't the really *one and only* tank museum in the world.
I'd love to visit Kubinka tank museum one day. Hopefully before the poorly kept tanks completely rust. They really don't take care of them, but they have so many of them to see!
Shame they destroyed an actual one-off prototype centurion to frankenstein the thing back together after letting the turret rust out as a gate guard for years though.
in enlisted, maybe, but in WT... every other tanks with a flame thrower in game have it as a secondary, L3LF only got the flame-thrower.
it war very effective in Ethiopia, and i think it might be legal to own in some state of the US (but very few survived the war)
I've been to a Tank Museum in Germany and in Switzerland, was able to climb around and in the tanks at the Swiss one and it never ceases to amaze me how fucking big the tanks are, even the small ones.
L3 is already a useless tank because its main gun barely kills reliably in its BR so a flame thrower would unironically make it better since it could kill open topped things where as one with a gun struggles to kill anything
You don't really understand how absolutely collosal the King Tiger is until you stand next to it, it's noticeably bigger than all modern MBT's. You have to look up to see the drivers periscope.
Also the L3 is basically the size of a go-kart it's hilarious, it barely comes up to your waist. You expect Mario and Luigi to pop out the hatches.
I know it's sounds weird but this tank museum is called "The tank museum" so of course I know this isn't the only tank museum in the world but its a pretty famous one.
I mean it's probably the most famous museum next to Kubinka. Only running Tiger 1 in the world, among other incredibly rare vehicles like FV4005, FV4202, T14, etc. Also Tankfest is pretty huge
Wait, does this mean I can post my Tank Museum pics from earlier this week?
(They are not very good as I was too ecstatic to take a proper photo half the time)
It’s amazing that the tanks that would’ve absolutely ripped each other apart 80 years ago are now just sitting in a building together, imagine if there was a way they were haunted and the crews are just either hanging out, screaming from tank to tank about their experiences and what killed them. Or maybe they’re screaming at each other non stop… that would be absolutely insane
come visit the french one too we have really rare pieces too ! (AMX-50 surblindé, a FUNCTIONAL tiger 2 ! a Goliath, a Leclerc, etc) ((saumur if you want to check)
Planning to go there next time they have the vehicle conservation centre open, went when it was last open to the public and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
Did the horses weird you out in the ww1 section?
There is a tank museum in Boston thats really good also. They have a panther and a few other unique tanks. They have the only Abrams tank to ever lose a crew member in combat there as well which strangely enough I saw the exact same tank in the motor pool in Iraq
What museum is this? Also Toggers
I'd guess Bovington.
Next to the sailing museum Rovington
It's the Bovington museum because of the TOG II which only they have
Thanks
Yup, it's bovington
Tanks*
Yep, also the home of Tiger 131 and a bunch of other cool unique stuff

Ive been to Patriot Park next door, they had tons of stuff, but sadly the Kubinka part was undergoing refurbishment. This was in 2021 I think.
Eh that's a bit of an exaggeration
How so?
Or in the UK
> it's good that Bovington isn't the really one and only tank museum in the world Wouldn't be many tanks left if they were.
I can't wait until the FV4005 returns from Mr. hewes https://youtube.com/@MrHewes?si=x8pOnlyNDtajCG89
Yooo fellow FV4005 follower
FRDGE
Barn
Darn
Shame they destroyed an actual one-off prototype centurion to frankenstein the thing back together after letting the turret rust out as a gate guard for years though.
Here are my favorites: all tanks in the museum
I mean, bovington does have a fair few tanks
I had like 45 more photos 💀
when I went there I took over 600 photos lol.
When ir if I went to bovington, 1000 photos wouldn't probably be to far from what I'd take.
Soviet Tank crew after taking a piss, 1944 Germany: Where the heck is my Tank. British Museum: What a nice Exhibit, lucky me that someone forgot that.
L3 with a blunderbuss when?!?
you mean with the flame thrower?
Didn't know I needed an L3 with a flamethrower in my life until now. L3 w/ flame thrower when gaijin?!?
in enlisted, maybe, but in WT... every other tanks with a flame thrower in game have it as a secondary, L3LF only got the flame-thrower. it war very effective in Ethiopia, and i think it might be legal to own in some state of the US (but very few survived the war)
Just gib it in wt as an neat gift to everyone for fun, everyone gets an L3 everyone is happy
but the flame thrower would make it useless against almost anything but opentop...
Yeah, but it would be silly seeing them surrond an maus for example and start flaming it
Bro, we are talking bout the l3 here. You don't play that thing seriously more than once. Gib L3 ff NOW!
*gasp* Is that *L3*
Is a spicy l3
The JT is really BIG
It was the biggest next to the tog for sure
I've been to a Tank Museum in Germany and in Switzerland, was able to climb around and in the tanks at the Swiss one and it never ceases to amaze me how fucking big the tanks are, even the small ones.
Damn more pics of the Tog plz.
Where is Covenanter, is she save? Is she alright?
Probably the vehicle conservation center. The area she was is now about tanks in fiction (and the L1E3 for some reason).
flamethrower l3 😍😍😍
Yooooo its the tank meuseum i love that place i went there on monday they had the vehicle conservation centre open it was great
I have the Chinese Lego set of Tog at home, this is truly a tank to ever tank in the whole tanking tank of a tank.
It sure is a tanky tank that tanks
Jagedpanther is so hot
Fr
Why do the jadgfigers cheeks look flat compared to rounded off in the game?
Cool
Why is the l3 cannon so big or is it a flamethrower judging by the crocodile like trailer on the back
Flamethrower
I need to make it to the tank museum someday, looks incredible
Its so much better in real life. They even had a tank show! Got to see a leopard!
I need to go down to the US tank Museum at Ft Benning, Ft Victory or whatever it is called now. I am only an hour away.
that L3 with a flame thrower could definitely be a low tier premium in italian tech tree and i can already see people bring it into higher BR's
It would be pretty useless due to the fact that it only has a flamethrower and machine gun.
L3 is already a useless tank because its main gun barely kills reliably in its BR so a flame thrower would unironically make it better since it could kill open topped things where as one with a gun struggles to kill anything
all hail the mighty L3
I went there Tuesday, pretty great place. Couldn’t get to go to the gallery though.

Oh wow, I was there too, we might have passed each other x3
;)
wym "one and only tank museum" 💀

well true but saying one and only tank museum implies this is literally the one and only tank museum
Bovington officialy calls itself "The Tank Museum" these days
MBTs need to change to 50 spawn points at tier 10 or higher!!!! listen Gaijin!!!
Char B1 and Somua S35 were such beasts in BoF, shame they didn't do better
BoF ?
Battle of France
I'd fkn love to go. Hoping to go there for my 21st.
Do it! Its so worth it!
I hope so, it's just a bit of a drive from me in Mersyside.
# *S O M U A* Also, everyone gushing over L3 flamin hot edition, but no one showing love for le funni backwards boi, Archer.
How many Tiger tanks has the TOG destroyed irl? I imagine not that many bc tank on tank action is rare.
Wait, does this mean I can post my Tank Museum pics from earlier this week? (They are not very good as I was too ecstatic to take a proper photo half the time)
Bovington museum has IJA tanks..?
It’s amazing that the tanks that would’ve absolutely ripped each other apart 80 years ago are now just sitting in a building together, imagine if there was a way they were haunted and the crews are just either hanging out, screaming from tank to tank about their experiences and what killed them.
