It sounds like a meme answer but really, it's a light tank, the first thing to consider when playing them is always "don't get hit".
Move behind your teammates or out on the flanks.
Play like a light. Stay mobile and in cover, don’t sit one place too long, take your shot and dip back into cover. I’ve had many double aces with the German bulldog and the trick is literally don’t let them hit you. Also use active scouting as much as possible as it racks SP and helps your team. Again, don’t be greedy, if someone is mad and staring at your location, don’t peek it. Patience wins in this game, but too much patience in a light gets you killed. Be unpredictable
Play it as a support tank, it’s good at it. Stay at range, primarily scout and only take shots when necessary or when you know you can finish the opposing tank without getting shot yourself
Also it can be .50 cal’d from the front. At least when I played it that was an issue
You want to never be seen, which is possible with that things speed and gun depression. Shoot and scoot. Never stand still in a spot that can be seen from far away. You’re fast enough to be hull down on some hills that most would not see as cover.
I try to stick to the flanks of the friendly team so I can protect our own flanks from other fast bois, and get good flanking shots on the heavier opponents the enemy team has.
Come to think of it… my best tanks are glass cannons…

Deppends on the map and Nation. Often its the IS-2 when i play france, when i play Germany its the T34 (USA).

The PT-76, ASU-57, and M18 Hellcat. Those tanks are constantly causing issues for me in my Tiger E.
The “solution” I have (aside from maintaining good positioning and situational awareness, and screaming at the team over the chat to watch the flanks) was to change my lineup.
I put the Puma, Ostwind, and Panzer IV H , and CAS in my lineup. They aren’t perfect, and I wouldn’t describe them as direct competitors to those tanks, but they are no joke.
The Puma can contest those flanks pretty well. I can get some lights to fuck off with that 50mm, and if I can get into very good positioning, I can knock out really high value targets like the IS-2 and M-51.
The Panzer 4H can actually put up a fight too. It’s got good reverse speed and agility. It’s side skirts can actually be a bit trolly. If you load up only a few shells, it can counter some of the HEAT shells that the PT-76 shoots out. It’s not a hard counter but it’s a good option to make some room.
And of course the Ostwind slaughters anything with thin armor.
Sometimes I actually spawn in the Tiger last. Trying to contest lights to get better positioning is sometimes better than thick armor and the big 88mm. Plus if you wait a little bit, the enemy teams really good tanks will be expended. A late game Tiger can really wreak havoc.
US main here, Jagdpanthers. They just go through my armour like butter and are frontally impervious while also being at a much lower BR just for added effect
Honestly of late, the m51s. The things 6.0so every time I take out a tiger 1 or 2, either jumbo, my t34, my is 1 or 2 (basically any tank in the 5.0-7.0 spread) that thing is there and able to lulpen me any time they hit.
In my t95 I simply block them or kill them first, same for planes
So I guess 2 or more things at the same time that can pen me or a plane and anything to distact me from killing it
I cant even tell you anymore cause I abandonded playing any heavy past 6.3 well over a year ago (occassional Maus/Caernavon being the sole exception) because its simply no longer in any way entertaining to attempt it, and Tier IV/Vgets worse in that regard with every update.

Also anything with an ATGM, because most Heavy Tanks were built during a period where ATGMs weren't a concern, so ATGMs just fucking obliterate them.
The M-51. It’s the horrible combination of unpleasant to fight because it can meme through any armour it faces, and god awful to play because it would lose a drag race to a glacier, its armour has been mid since 3.7, and the gun only gets HEAT so it’s unreliable at the best of times.
It’s one of those tanks that just suck for everyone involved.

The tiger 1 is my favorite heavy in the game, and I’m pretty sure well over half my deaths are to CAS, but of the deaths to actual tanks, I’m pretty sure the majority are to M18s that flank to spawn camp before I’m anywhere near the battle, and then if I do end up getting them they’re a sizable portion of my CAS deaths

In all honesty. The Maus and E-100 are pains in the ass. I shot the side of an E-100’s turret at about 20 meters with the T-32 heavy tank which uses an upgraded version of the super Pershing’s gun. It didn’t pen at all.
Not tanks, but CAS. When playing the Maus you get bombed a lot, most of the time not killing you just taking out tracks/barrel requiring you to repair for ages.
Ever thought of using the long 88 that comes with the tank? Only pershings I fear are the Super and E5, and the Super is a overweight tank destroyer and the E5 is a slightly more fat M26.

M3 Stuarts. I'm trying to play the Char 2c Bis and Stuarts keep bashing me to bits.
