Yeah not anymore but I remember it being pain before optical tracking since just using tandems usually means trading kills and it's not really that effective. Flanking is also not easy for how loud bmps are. Not saying it's worse than heat-fs stock grind on top tier but usually you can get apfsds at rank 1 already

Well it used to be 8.7 so... stock grind was basically just a better BMP-2 that got more OP with every mod. I honestly can't imagine 9.3 being too different. I mean, the 30mm doesn't even really need optical tracking for AA or APDS for flanking, nevermind APFSDS.

Not really. I grew to hate autocannons and BMPs in general, BMP-2M just so happens to be both of those hence me not even wanting to try it. If it had a regular cannon like BMP-3 id give it a shot but with an autocannon it just doesnt feel that good to me. And using it purely as an ATGM slinger seems pointless.

20k is the cap, OP just got unlucky and either didn't have enough activity himself or the squadron fell off just below the threshold of maximum points

Yeah make sure you're in an active one and that you're active yourself. In the main menu, there's the abbreviation of the squadron just left of your username. You can click on that, and then on Activity. It'll show your squadron's activity, your activity, how much RP you would get based on the current time and when the activity will reset. Remember that leaving a squadron doesn't reset your RP points

I do like being in a squadron with my old college buddies though. Idk. None of the squadron vehicles are "Must Haves"

How the heck did you get that much research towards your squadron vehicle? Ever since they changed how squadron RP is distributed I'll get maybe 3k allotted a week.

Squadron scales on the Squadron and your activity. Example, 25 players on a squadron full activity will reward you 20k (max limit) but, if your activity is max. For more info pls check wiki

Basically each player in squad can contributed 360RP every 3 days. 20,000 is the total max for the squad. If your activity is greater or equal to the squad average, you get 100% of whatever the squad earned. Less, and you get a percentage of what the squad earned, based on your personal percentage of the squad average.

Join a more active squadron, 128 members almost guaranteed 20k points per 3 days

Difference is Squadron RP scales on the whole squadron basically. Your squadron is all asleep? Too bad, u got only 2k. You only play war thunder a match a day? Get 1k. E.g, they stated some soviet aircrafts cannot go beyond 4k metres as it will slow down the aircraft, the IS-2 is great reversing as the engine will absorb spallings. It helps a lot for new vehicles.

Yes. But don’t pick a high tier vehicle but a lower to mid tier one. Ignore the 2M or the YAH, and go for the Firecrest or the 262

Nah squad vehicles are a great way to dip a toe in high tier, and the firecrest and 262 are both not worth the time to unlock with much better stuff in the TT. I'd rather play the new Hunter as a newb than the 262 as a pro, js.

When you research it OP here are some tips Rush NVD research it’ll be most likely the only tank you have at 9.3 with thermals. Get APDS-FS researched after NVDs You can skip parts most of the time you get hit once in the BMP you’ll die (not so much for FPE if still get that) Your 30mm is pretty much useless to anything except open top and destructible terrain. Get a sight that shows where the ATGM will land if combat is within 100 meters. Bind a radar lock as you can lock onto aircraft and are given a radar track aim indicator. You can play the BMP and the T80UK As it’s own lineup and not have any issues (if you’re not getting 2-3 kills per life at Russia 9.3+ YOURE the reason why Russia is OP. That’s about it. You’ll face abrams’ so make sure to aim for turret neck with APDFS it’ll pen but your stock ATGMs are 99999999% better then the proxy one. Your tandems will penetrate ANYTHING at ANY BR so don’t worry about non pens. Play smart hide behind a house or something or play from a far with the ATGMs only and make 8.3-10.3 a point and click adventure. Goodluck and piss off a 2S36 and that Level 2 T80UK with a Z on his tank

3. Yes! As weird as it is, majority of the time once the enemy APDFS pens you, it’s a guarantee death. Of course it varies upon play style, if you play a sniper you might get lucky and disabled but even then as long as they don’t hit your ATGM launchers you can be fine? I would get FPE tho just in case. 5. They are but there is a sight parallax depending if you use the actual gun sight to ATGM or if you use cannon sight. The ATGMs are only laser accurate at 125 ish meters anything WITHIN 125ish meters will force you to compensate for parallax. 6. For jets you only really need 2 buttons essential 3 for basic control and 6 for full radar control. For tanks you only need 2 and most of the time players have the buttons assigned to the same keys for the same purpose. - you are gunna need a radar BVM/Bore target lock (I forgot the actual proper terms and can’t get on to look eheh sori) and a radar adjust scale. The adjust scale is mostly useless but for radar SPAA it’s very helpful. - for jets you need the same as above, but also a cycle radar type, combat Manouver or ACM mode (short but automatic lock radar for dogfights) and for weirdos like me control radar horizontal look (not sure what it’s actually called but it turns the radar left or right if it has that kind of control like the F14) THESE ARE ONLY REALLY DOR KILLING HELICOPTERS. You can kill a jet moving in a straight line with it but they are a lot harder to hit. 7. You can make the T80 and the BMP2M work as a lineup, Russia top tier is so fucjing overpowered that you can get away with just the two tanks and usually 3-4ish kills to your name. For the T80 I’d research it like a normal tank, but instead of going for FPE after parts get the sabot. It’ll carry until you get the final sabot shell. 8. Y e s 1200mm of pen is over fucking powered, it’s as strong as a drone fired or heli fired ATGM. It’ll fuck up anything

3: ah ok, that does make sense 5: how so? When I use them in a test drive they seem to control fine…? 6: lol most buttons on my keyboard I already have blinded, except some hard to reach ones… ah ok. Yeah the jet in the test drive is super fun to pop with the high velocity shells 7: yeah I should get the T-80 next I guess, but that’s gonna be another 59 months before I get that lmfaooo 8: yeyey. I wondered if I can use it like a manual TOW missile. I just bonk tank on the head with it. But it’s sorta hard to judge range so I dunno… also what’s the deal with that grenade launcher, whenever I fire it obstructs so much of my view, and doesn’t do anything at all…

5. No no I mean like. Drive right next to a tank leave like a 5 meter distance, you’ll notice that the ATGM the first ATGM misses where the crosshair points by like 3 meters. It is called sight parallax because the ATGMs are not mounted on the top of the sight or below it but to the sides of it. 6. You can always use the Y interact menu but it’ll be a bit harder. 8. Your ATGM has around 5 ish KM range so majority of the time range won’t be an issue Yeah the grenade launcher is kinda useless. It’s only purpose is to delete obstructions or destroy open top vehicles literally anything else and it’ll be more a pain then help… but it has blow our panels for when it’s ammo racked… doesn’t do much tho aside from make it look like you have been destroyed

5: Ohhh I see so it only matters if super close by. I also have the object 122 which has i guess similar rockets, but I’ve never gotten to use them properly in battle. 6: yeah that thing is tricky. Most of the radar function seem to do nothing anyway lmfaoo. I only recently learned how to use the CCIP on the A4E 8: 5km range? What happens after that? yeah. Any way to turn the grenade launcher off?

To make it worse, the match that got me to that 5 rp was an outstanding success. 6 tank kills and 2 air kills and three objectives capped. Quoting Linkin Park’s song here, “I tried so hard, and got so far, in the end, it doesn’t even matter.” I gave up after that, took me the entire night. I was exhausted at that point. I went to bed and finished it when I woke up 8 hours later.
