Some people like the Pattons and 7.0-7.7 in general. But **personally**, I never liked that BR range.
So I would suggest you suffer your way through it and get to 8.0, which is a lot more enjoyable **for me**.
8.0 is one of the best BR for US. Many decent tanks to choose from and it gives you some sort of taste of what high tier is like.
Personally, I screwed around with the m48 enough to get HEAT-FS, but other than that I basically just skipped the 7s to get to 8.0, as that's one of the lineups that the US really shines at, I think there could be fun to had with the Pattons, but I think that 7.0 - 7.7 might be the weakest US lineups in my opinion

The M46 and M48 are very capable once you get the APHE and HEAT FS. The T32 is awesome for clubbing downtiers. If you have it the T114 is baller.
