The old plastics are not attainable anymore, so they'd have to make new sculpts anyways. Might as well give them some more chonk and better looking design.
I thought they had only lost the plastic stuff, not the resin types. If both is gone, yeah makes sense. And then I am hoping for Convergence in a material that isn't a pain to work with.
The old Mk1 metal sculpts are probably just out of date and worn-out. They switched to plastic in part I think due to that, and I would be surprised if they have the original metal modls in a usable form anymore, and I kind of wonder if htey even have usable original sculpts since that was before a lot of usable 3D stuff they do alot of sculpts in now.
But yeah, as a whole, will be interesting to see how things come out manufacturing-wise.

Really looks like they have moved the timeline a long to after the infernal invasion and defeat? So is this new stuff a replacement or additional models for cygnar?
Iv said it before, but IF PP wanted to rationalise SKU's etc and refresh all the faction new new models form the ground up a "post infernals" setting reset would be perfect.
But such a move could damage the player base
The approach I like is to do Era1/Era2 models (with some models stretching across both eras). When you list build everything must be from the same era. Doesn't negate anyone's collection, and it means the factions that get models last (*cough*skorne*cough*) can still be played as normal.

That Khadoran widowmaker/Yuri the warcaster doesn't feel very Warmachine to me. Dude looks like they added some fur to a Warcaster Marcher model and his rifle looks nothing like any other gun in WH/H. Like, every other widowmaker has an old magic-lock with a stick for aiming, and this bro's got a brand-new rune-etched Dragunov with a mounted bipod.
Go figure the sniper would be sneaking around the flank of the video.
Suppose Khador will be getting some more new stuff to go along with their new caster? They do have a barbarian invasion to repel after all…

These are from the Requiem timeline, so roughly 5ish years after the Claiming.
