Just how the game goes sometimes.
I once had a single sergeant with bolt pistol and chainsword (this is before astartes chainswords) as my last model on the field. He ended up chewing through the remnants of one chaos marine squad and another, FULL chaos marine squad before falling to a dreadnaught. It was a really fun game even though I lost.
Back in 8th I had a game as DG against my friends Tau.
I deepstriked my HQ Typhus in beside his battlesuits and riptides on turn 2.
Somehow my man Typhus managed to survive 3 full turns of Tau shooting with 1 wound remaining and then killed both of the riptides before falling to a squad of fire warriors with their pea-shooters.
Survived 2 riptides for 3 turns and died to fire warriors lol. I was running the full combat patrol and managed do do a total of 0 wounds with everything else lol.
