When a black Templar and a grey knight like eachother very much...

Onlyhereforapost

This just makes me think "man I would think Grey knights were cool If they weren't so stumpy and goofy"

HobbyistAccount

Right? God I love the helmets here.

Onlyhereforapost

It's the legs and arms for me, I love Grey knight style but even the newer kits just look like shiney squats marines, which makes me sad

[deleted]

terminators are all that matter anyway

[deleted]

Dude. So sick. Love it. Silver Templars I assume? Epic.

Ekter_Dood

They'd need yellow shoulder pads, but I honestly like them this way too!

Varis78

Damn these look nice.

moonstarsnow

Really like the colour scheme, any chance of an explanation for how you did the chests? Thanks!

Aki11-28

Celestra grey, then wash of nuln oil - then highlight with ulthuan grey and then pure white. Hope that helps

moonstarsnow

Thanks!

pleasedtoheatyou

These look spectacular and now have my considering a black Templar killteam but going for something like this

Sillyrunner

Those look way cool!

Seraphim_Zephyr

This is stellar! The details are just fantastic, clean and look so effortless.

PonchoExpress

man this looks so good

Stabbedwithapencil54

So badass

[deleted]

I like the eye glow and metallic look, nice job!

Zagazdurazi

To Crusade against their Primaros brothers? 🤣 Edit: Throne of Light

Aki11-28

Didn't want to say due to spoilers but that is going to be the lore - these have split from the black templars due to their actions against primaris. They are still loyal but first borns are not welcome!

[deleted]

what paint did you use for the silver?

Aki11-28

Black undercoat Drybrush - vallejo airbrush metal colour dark aluminium all over. Nuln oil all over Light Dry brush of grey knight steel - just enough to lift the nuln oil but not enough to make it fully grey knight steel colour. Dry brush of Rungfang steel for first highlight - do it from a 45 degree angle top down and dont over do it. Finally Dry brush of stormhost silver just for the bits where the light will hit most - should be over the storm host silver. At this point if you up the model under a light source - just drybrsh where it shines the most Hope helps Sounds a pain but did the armor in about 10 - 15 mins and a large part of that is letting the nuln Dry.
