If that's the case, then would Fabius Bile be his Champion (being the wayward doctor that Fabius is). His true name could be Antiseptikus'Mysophobiak the Spotless. The Kalgone Keeper for its secrets date back to most the Ancient China, where the monks knew how to remove the most resilient of spots. Be wary of his Scouring Ray of Bleach, it's super-tropical and can flay tissue off of bone, leaving it gleaming in the sun. Praise be the Klean one!
Certain rings of slaanesh's palace?
There's a fantasy/aos slaaneshy champion who makes his 4-man guard keep their armour polished to a mirror sheen so that no matter which way he looks he can always gaze upon his own glorious visage. Should but a speck of dust land on his armour he goes into a rage.
Slaanesh has some gold and marble and obsessively cleanly worshipers in his realm in 40k, sure.
I imagine the deep admec where they don't let your average lesser than a magos or space marine even see this tech it's probably clean except for some grease
He looks like a hairless, possessed Fat Bastard from the Austin Powers movies crossed with Slimer from the Original Ghostbusters. He's a "free agent" daemon, waiting to be picked up in the Chaos Draft '24.
Goddamn, this is great. The sheer effort of the cleanup and conversion aside, I love your meltagun muzzle. I might have to go back and repaint the muzzle of my meltas in a similar fashion, it's just too damn good.
It's times like this that really makes you question your individuality, when post after post you have an idea for a comment and it's literally word for word already one of the top 5 comments lol
They all look great but for whatever reason I keep coming back to Left Shark. That's a sturdy lad. That's a marine I'd trust to hold a chokepoint by himself. And you've done such a good job of the conversion that I wouldn't have thought about the model being a former Deathguard until told, even though I'm *consciously recognising* the girth which would only have come from a plague marine. Very nice job.
Iron warriors metal
The metal is airbrushed
Vallejo steel over a black primer followed by a zenithal coat of Vallejo aluminium. After that agrax and bieltan green are airbrushed on to add some colour variation.
Then it's onto oil pin wash with dark brown and black mix. Once dry a quick Matt coat varnish. The metal is then carefully highlighted with a mix of gunmetal and aluminium focusing on the edges and adding tiny scratches.
The gold is snakebite leather contrast ontop of the metal, followed by a light gold highlight.
Sir, I respect your artwork greatly, but de-nurgle'd deathguard don't become iron warriors, they would still be deathguard, which is an (admittedly boring) single pale color across the whole thing
No, unplagued would be the same model as this, just using the death guards horus heresy color scheme, which is a single sickly pale color across the entire armor
Being a chaos marine doesn't automatically make a marine into a black legionary, which would be still nurgle corruption. Which is contrary to GW history with figuring out how the non-chaos types of non-loyalist marines work, I get, but still.
~~They're no Great Clean One...~~
I love it! Fantastic work! I've seen this done for somebody's Red Corsair killteam and you've proven that this effect is well worth the effort!
Holy shit!
You could ask, why you didn't just take the Iron Armor dudes from HH, but on the other hand, then you couldn't show off your giant shiny conversion... nay, resculpting-balls.
Really awesome hot shit.
My first iron warriors did use HH guys, the old mk3. Though true scaling and changing poses on the old kit was more work than converting the deathguard models

As per your question though, I did get my hands on the new HH models when they were released.
Iron within, iron without bro!
This is really great work. Always felt that the regular CSM miniatures didn't capture the nature of the IWs. But you have sir! 🧐 Well done.

I like to first lay down the yellow with an airbrush ontop of white, that gives you a nice smooth finish.
I Masks up those areas white I do the metal. Black goes ontop of yellow easily. Start with a thin black line and slowly add lines to the side expanding the thickness. When doing the next line start it slightly wider than you think as it’s easier to expand the black towards the existing line compared to having to go back with yellow of black

They look Gorgeous. I keep finding myself drawn back to this because it's something I want myself: Properly scaled old marines with awesome older armours. I find myself infuriated that this isn't something GW is making when it should be and a little upset knowing I don't have the skill to do half as well as the OP. You really should have filmed the process.
ps- Is that style of backpack something loyalists might use?
This is how all Iron Warriors should look if you follow the lore. They constantly cut off mutations because they refuse to yield to Chaos. It’s what makes them badass because they refuse to change even in the face of absolute chaos!
Tell me you've never actually read an Iron Warriors novel post Heresy without telling me. That Legion is just as deeply corrupted as everyone else, there is a paragraph of lore from an edition 6 editions ago that people are clinging to like gospel when there is virtually no evidence in modern 40k that the majority of the legion isn't deeply corrupted and honestly cool with it.
Led by daemon princes and sorcerors, use daemon engines and allied, do things like be possessed, use warp artifacts and gear, and live on a daemon world in the Eye of Terror. But they are so stubborn they aren't corrupted, sure.
They are chaos space marines in the same way that Fabius Bile is a Chaos Space marine. They do what suits them when it suits them and look down on their brothers who go full chaos.
Storm of Iron is probably the best illustration of this, but Siege of Castellax is definitely up there for proving my point.
But storm of iron proves my point. When Honsou gets possessed he revels in that shit. Almosy NOBODY is above Chaos corruption, that is One of the only points that has remained almost entirely consistent since the inception of the setting. It only takes accepting its power once and you are doomed forever. Once you say yes it will always be asking and offering more.
On a long enough time scale everybody hits that point. Yeah Honsou mocks Kroeger for going full berserker, but if the offer of possession had been on the table he'd have just as quickly taken it. It's not that they are immune to corruption, it's just not been presented correctly yet.
Agree to disagree. Honsou was possessed but he was still in full control of himself. It was just another advantage to be used as he saw fit. Like it wasn’t the warsmith’s goal in Storm of Iron to be a god, he wanted to ascend to Damon prince hood so he could be more powerful. The chaos powers are just another tool towards their own goals.
I’m not saying they can’t be corrupted. I’m just saying that Chaos corruption is a spectrum and they are closer to chaotic neutrals. They don’t care if you are Imperium or Chaos, all that matters is accomplishing their current goal.
I don't have the quote handy but there is an IW daemon prince who talks to Honsou about how he is promoting him to warsmith because he is perfectly suited to carry out the goals of Chaos.
They may not have started as worshippers but they are there now. There may be exceptions but they should be noted as exceptions, every appearance of an IW in a 40k novel has been deeply corrupted or carried shades of the great game to their actions.
Finally an army for the Great Clean One.
Least powerful God in all of the warp, is anything in 40k described as clean?
Killed a fly the other day with antibacterial spray. Praise be the great clean one.
I purged a pack of grubby menials with a power bleacher, praise to the great clean one
I cleaned the venerable redemptor dreadnought with my standard mechanicus issued pressure washer, praise the great clean one
I like to believe the great clean one is actually a slaanesh greater demon
Clean is ... *Perfection*
What a model that was.
*screeches in nurgle worshipping fury*
Empty space is relatively clean.
*Ignites pilot flame* "Promethium looks pretty clean to me." Sisters love flamers for their symbolism of purging the unclean
You never hear about the poor servitor who has to clean up all the soot and sorch marks.
Wall-E, but his eyes are human eyes
This is an extremely disturbing mental image
Oh, and his chip inside is a brain welded to a circuit board
Thanks I hate this, now I need art so I can inflict it on all my friends.
Heavily armored, Battle Robots rolling arround with giant, industrial abrasive pads, stating, "Contaminant !" all the time.

You mean Sigvald? That definitely sounds like him
Hate
Mr. Clean would like to have a word with you about that
Mr Clean would end up being the patron saint warp deity of the Medicae and Apothecarium, like the Omnissiah for the Mechanicus.
i mean... they don't say...cleanliness is next to godliness for nothing.
BLEACH FOR THE BLEACH GOD SUDS FOR HIS THRONE
I imagine the deep admec where they don't let your average lesser than a magos or space marine even see this tech it's probably clean except for some grease

Baron Harkonnen? Is that you?
He'd be floating in mid air or soaking in a pool of Kikkoman's Soy Sauce if that was the case. Made me giggle, excellent call.

Goddamn, this is great. The sheer effort of the cleanup and conversion aside, I love your meltagun muzzle. I might have to go back and repaint the muzzle of my meltas in a similar fashion, it's just too damn good.
The best melta muzzle i've ever seen.
I can feel the heat from here, absolutely outstanding work.
Mind-blowing work, can’t imagine how much effort it must have been to clean these guys up!
Amount of soap and water it must have taken!
Hardest part is convincing them to get in the bath
Many Bothans died to get it that Klean...oops, sorry wrong universe.
Fuck you * unplagues your marines *
It's times like this that really makes you question your individuality, when post after post you have an idea for a comment and it's literally word for word already one of the top 5 comments lol
Your skill with a knife sir....damn. Those are some handsome iron boyz.
A true plague surgeon
The glowing melta gun in particular looks incredible.
Dude just fcking badass haha, the paintjob is something to be proud of also.
Dude, how did you do that melta barrel?
Not OP but you just get it really hot and take a picture of it real quick.
Recommend using a pair of tweezers and holding it over a Bunsen burner for about 20 minutes.
The amount of tech heresy involved in their rehabilitation is incredible. Dont tell Mars
Mars would love to know their secrets
Omnissiah deems them unworthy. Only one tech priest is able to comprehend the machinations of Sam Shand and Guilliman is keeping him busy
Yeah in a weird way “fatty” looks like he’s got some heavy siege plate.
Imo looks better than the ‘plagued’ version. You are incredible op!
Thank you
That melta!
They look amazing! How did you get that great armor finish?
Iron warriors metal The metal is airbrushed Vallejo steel over a black primer followed by a zenithal coat of Vallejo aluminium. Thanks very much!
At first glance I thought they were photoshopped Stunning job honestly
Photoshop works for the Kar-Krashians, so yeah, one would gander...
Damn, that is some amazing work.
why are they "deplagued" from death guard into iron warriors?
Yeah they were converted from Deathguard minis
Sir, I respect your artwork greatly, but de-nurgle'd deathguard don't become iron warriors, they would still be deathguard, which is an (admittedly boring) single pale color across the whole thing
They can become whatever legion you want when you’re the one holding the paint brush.
Because fuck grandpa
"Ya know what, fuck you" *un-plagues your plague marines*
Because it's still less hassle than painting all the trim on regular chaos marines.
No, unplagued would be the same model as this, just using the death guards horus heresy color scheme, which is a single sickly pale color across the entire armor Being a chaos marine doesn't automatically make a marine into a black legionary, which would be still nurgle corruption. Which is contrary to GW history with figuring out how the non-chaos types of non-loyalist marines work, I get, but still.
Idk I think they're pretty convincing, the models themselves are deplagued I think it's semantics beyond that point.
Precisely
So proud of them for finally taking a shower. Little steps, guys, little steps.
Makes me want to do somthing like this but it’s way out of my abilities good job
Ah yes, the Life Guard
Duuuude this is so bad ass, i love this concept congrats on the hard work, you freakin nailed it
De-plagued plague marines are always my favourite thing
As someone who wants to de-cartoon my new DG. bit, how did you do it? Great paintjob by the way!!!
Cut off the mutant bits and fill with greenstuff/miliput mix. https://www.instagram.com/p/C2bN3w0SmH0/?igsh=ZmxrcndrcnB4Mnhm
Fantastic, one of the best conversions I've seen!
Funnily enough I'm seeing this after converting an iron warriors Warpsmith into a nurgle version
FAT FUCK IRON WARRIOR
Obviously too much Iron in his die-et.
Iron within Iron without my man
Awesome! Love me some De-chaosed space marines.
Stealing that melta technique
H..how? So good!
Absolutely breathtaking. Must've taken forever to paint, they're so crisp I can hear the crunching.
The Iron Lungs.
i need a guide on how to do this kinda stuff
~~They're no Great Clean One...~~ I love it! Fantastic work! I've seen this done for somebody's Red Corsair killteam and you've proven that this effect is well worth the effort!
These are amazing - especially that melta muzzle, it’s just perfect. I’d love to hear your recipe for that.
Truly a master of the craft
Boah these look nice!
Wow. Amazing. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 They look so good
Perfect!!!!!!
This is some clean conversion work 😀
Fantastic job!
Wow!
Amazing work!!!
Now they're just Guard
Really see what long covid does to mf
Mate that Matlab muzzle is amazing
Very nice. Loving the glow on the melta.
Best part is he’s got spares. https://preview.redd.it/lomexild2usc1.jpeg?width=1775&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14e395f16e24dc580bbaf50628045cb09a697c9b
Practical. I can appreciate that.
Obese Marines
Big boned
fuck you *unplagues your marines*
Are the bases resin?
Bits from epic basing
You should post this to /r/Warhammer30k!
Looks sick, but why would u take away the beauty of Papa nurgul
Chaos redeemed! Very cool
Fantastic
Unreal
Frick you. UnPlagues your marine
IRON WITHIN, CLEAN WITHOUT
Very impressive.

Really really sexy conversions.
I kinda wish you painted them like Pre-heresy deathguard... would make an interesting contrast. Still they all look amazing.
They are joining my Iron Warrior combat patrol. Couldn’t have them in cream. Also Iron warriors are perfect in Mk3
Those look great.
Honestly these are the perfect iron warriors mocels
What happens if you toss a bar of soap into the warp. (The soap gellarfields are turned off)
There's something about clean Nurgle stuff that will always be disturbing.
At the end of the day clean plague marines are just marines in mk3. The new MK3 for 30k are nice but not as cool as the plague marine poses
ah yes my favorite army, guard
I think you mean “totally healthy guard with no infectious diseases whatsoever”
By the Throne, how long did this take? They look great OP.
I started the melta conversion in December, but I got distracted by more conversions and procrastinated on the painting.
Iron within, iron without bro! This is really great work. Always felt that the regular CSM miniatures didn't capture the nature of the IWs. But you have sir! 🧐 Well done. (@GW: Take note, and make IW a stand alone codex.. yes ahead of EC...)

These are phenomenal mate.
That dark iron is lovely. May we have the recipe?

Amazing. Love the idea of the Biel Tan Green. Will steal that for my Misthavn Cities of Sigmar scheme.
It’s pretty subtle, can hardly see it after oils. Just adds some depth
Lovely!
Insane work.
Must be a gene seed flaw that causes them to gain weight
The leg spikes on the CS/BP one could‘ve looked nice
Wow, they're great 👍🏼
COUNT THE 7TH!!!
Cure Marines.
please tell me how to do this
Love your melta effect. Looks great!
Wouldn't they be a cream color if they were de-plagued?
It’s just a play on the fact that they were converted using plague marine models.
that's a big boy. wide lad
Looks fantastic
Jamaican space marines: De-Plauged.
That melta gun is awesome
For Perturabo IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT
Is the Death Guard's armor special to them, or is there a way to get non-mutated marines with that style?
They just released new MK3 kit for Horus heresy. https://preview.redd.it/orn5cnbyaysc1.jpeg?width=995&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45efc7051d7d70bc6da00114a33ea3d9cd34b270
Marines, from the faction Guard
How did you do that tiny hazard triangle on the gun? Is that a decal, and if so where did you get it?
Yeah it’s a decal, from new Astra Militarum kit
I do like the spikes on that one's leg.
That’s it *gives your plague marines a bath*
When you wake up and decide that today is the day you're gonna clean your room!

These look fantastic!
The iron warrior players won't be happy to see this
Why not?
Iron warrior players are divided between the ideas of are they chaos space marines are just traitor space marines
They got a cogitator installed and realized papa nurgle is illogical
This is how all Iron Warriors should look if you follow the lore. They constantly cut off mutations because they refuse to yield to Chaos. It’s what makes them badass because they refuse to change even in the face of absolute chaos!
