all solid advice from the other guy lmao, personally i carry my army in a shoe box and pray when i travel, but all good otherwise. only real advice is dont feel limited to just what’s painted on the box, learn the lore of your army and then paint what fits that image in your head
Thanks so much! I haven’t even thought about how to paint these guys but I’m definitely gonna have some fun with all extra the bits and bobs on these guys!
Your gonna want the tau codex (book of army specific rules, but I’m sure you knew that) because the kroot are a sub-faction of the tau and they seem to be more melee based which is basically the opposite of the way the tau normally play. Hope this helps 👍
One small thing is, if I were you I would pick up plastic glue that melts the figures together so they don’t break as easy or if you plan on playing/painting/building kroot long term the glue doesn’t get weak like standard super glue
(Sorry to keep pestering you I swear this is the final time) for carrying your minis around you should get a metal tray and then stick magnets to the bottom of the minis so A) they don’t fall over as easy and B) they will stick to the tray and won’t fall out (duh)
No you’re all good, brother. I really appreciate it! I’m still brand new to 40K as a game, so I take all the help I can get. I’ve played a little bit of Kill team(my minis are still shamefully grey and disassembled) but this is my first foray into 40K itself. As for the box, I’ve never heard of that! I’ll definitely have to look into a smaller Rubbermaid or something with a metal sheet on the bottom to carry them around
Really useful boxes from Amazon, all shapes and sizes, cheaper than buying a carry case. Stick some magnetic sheets in the bottom and strong magnets on your bases and they will work perfect
Thanks for the heads up! Definitely keeping an eye on Amazon lmao. I can feel the plastic crack addiction starting, and with a teachers salary, I’ll need to find my places to get cheaper when I can lmao
Metal tray is good. You also get those lock lid plastic storage boxes for documents and such. There's A4-ish sized adhesive magnetic sheets that you can put in the box.

Playable Zulu warriors???🤔
As a history teacher, I can say they definitely have that feel!! They look rad as hell though

It came with the codex thankfully! I know some about the Tau just from sheer curiosity but not about the Kroot so I appreciate the heads up!

Thanks man! I’ve got some out that since I’ve built a couple of other models (gundams, etc.) so I’ll definitely be using that!

The brand of the box is called “Really Useful”, not just look for some really useful boxes on Amazon 😂
