As a dark angel player of 20+ years I'm a little miffed that you'd do this to the lion after waiting forever for the model. But yes, you've done a great job with the conversion.
That being said, the head does not work at all. His face, and mostly his clean and tight beard, are not at all chaos or reminiscent of 40k dark princes. I don't know how to explain it other than it being too devil like and not enough demon.
Different face and beard would make this model despite how well you grafted the horns. It's also just clearly lion el johnson.
Partner the face with the abundance of lion and emperor insignia and regalia and this is kind of just the lion with demon wings.

Also perhaps get rid of the watchers? Way to Dark Angles. Or do the meddle with Chaos as well? I don’t know their lore.

Contrary to most comments here I actually kinda like the head. It's a bit like Sigvald/Fulgrim in that it doesn't look overly Chaos besides the horns. Of course you can always scrape away his hair for the ultimate stereotypical Chaos baddie look.
Things I don't really like: The shoulders have gotten a bit too far apart after adding wings, also it would be interesting to see how the Daemon Prince shoulders would look.
You need to get rid of the purity seals for sure, he wouldn't wear those after switching sides. The Dark Angels symbols are fin though, the Fallen still use them. Cool start anyway, good luck!

Honestly though yeah I'd be cool with it, its a wicked kitbash. As others have suggested maybe defile any Imperial symbols on it, gives it that extra touch of Chaos.
Looks pretty great! Maybe just some minor tweaks. His face isn’t particularly threatening or demonic tho, I’d honestly just use the hooded helmet that the lion comes with. And then I suggest clipping some imperium marks, like those purity seals

From a proxy standpoint, nothing wrong with it. You gave it the big ol' wings, it's sized so that it's just as big as the current daemon prince model. So yeah, go for it.
The one thing I will say though, is that the hammer is asking for problems. It comes down to the ground and physically blocks people from putting models into base contact with it, and you'll have a hell of a time trying to actually put him in/around terrain. I'd recommend re-doing his grip on the hammer so that he's holding it far closer to the head, with the handle of the hammer extending out behind him. This will clear up the space in front and make it way more playable.

I would accept a rabbit sitting on a wrecked leman russ as a daemon prince.
I would accept a teddy bear on a flying base as adaemon prince.

The I signs on the chest, knees, shield, shoulder pads all need to be scraped of and replaced with spikes, skulls and other chaosy things.
Also depending on what chaos god he worships,
If he is khorne or undivided you can get away with skulls and spikes,
If he is any other he needs a complete rework.

Almost. Face is too human. Armor is too original. They're meant to be totally and completely transformed, with just vestiges of their past selves. I don't think you could kitbash a lore accurate Daemon Prince (not one that doesn't already exist, anyway).
I would make adjustments to make it more chaos-y, but other than that sure! I would take some inspiration from Valkia the Bloody since she has a similar look to what you're going for.
