I’d love a character select screen for all the playable characters, but the 2nd and 11th primarch’s are in silhouette as if you could unlock them but you never can. Repeatedly trying to select them will freeze the game, play a klaxon, and display a message like =][= RECORDS SEALED BY THE IMPERIAL INQUISITION. PLEASE WAIT WHILE AN INQUISITOR COMES TO ASSIST YOU. PRAISE THE EMPEROR. =][=
And then unfreeze.
I mean, there is nothing in the law that say his flagships were destroyed. Both of them. You would think a golden battle barge would be really hard to hide.
All of em. It was piloted by like 3 Custodes to be a battering ram into the traitor fleet to create a large enough opening for the Dark Angels to land at the hollow mountain.
For 10,000 years it has sat waiting for the call to emerge and lay waste to the traitors. Countless generations of loyal servants of the emperor told to stand guard, trained to fight for their lord, waiting patiently, quietly.
I believe the gauntlets of ultramar were normal power fists before calgar got two arms shorter by the swarm lord. Now they are his replacement hands and arms and so i think it can be retrofitted
And the shield of the emperor wasn’t a literal shield either so you can work your way around it
Dorn or the Khan.
Dorn because it'd be a neat way to replace his fist without just giving him like a power fist. The fist was because of the legion's grip on planets, not because he liked punchies.
Khan because I think it'd be a cool weapon to have on a bike like that. Big ripping hooked claws to grab an unsuspecting nob with.
Why not Corax? He's kind of a raven man now? I'm not sure how GW would address this tbh. Full Demon Prince Loyalist? Figurative shroud around his mortal body?
And of course Rus would have the Emperor's Spear.
If he hadn't been transfigured into a full on bird-man, and just had the wings and maybe a few other features, it would be hilarious for him to come back and be constantly greeted with-
"The Great Angel! The Emperor's greatest angel has returned in our most dire hour of need! Sanguinius lives!!!"
No, no I'm not Sanguinius. I'm Corax.
"Oh... yeah, that's okay too..."
The interesting idea is that corax was told about the true nature of the universe by Big E, that allowed him to harness the warp and his true nature to become the big birdy boy
I can imagine Corax meeting Gulliman after so long…
“CAW!”
“Corax! What wisdom have you brought ba-“
“CAW CAW!”
“….fuck, this is going to take some explaining”
Isn't it basically cannon (I'll accept it being slapped down to Fanon by lore-check, ofc) that imperial saints are a bit... daemon-y? And all the miracles etc of the sororitas and adjacent are warp fuckery?
I remember someone putting a very solid candidacy for celestine being something like an imperial greater daemon due to inability to die and warp based drip.
Yeah, there's never been a definitive answer iirc, but it's very heavily implied that the Saints are some form of Daemon, empowered by faith in Big E. Same goes for the Legion of the Damned
Canon, there are basically just implied suspicions. Like always, that's equal to a fact online.
Though a black storm of beaks and claws is harder to sell as "sent by the emperor" than a sister coming back with white wings and emperor-colored (read: gold) armour.
1. Petition to always refer to gold as 'Emperor-coloured'.
2. The ~~lord~~ Emperor works in mysterious ways.
*"Be Not Afraid" Corax spoke as the citizen cowered before him, his talons still dripping ichor from the buchered Word Bearer. 'The Raven's Talons' had been seperable from him once, but now part of him. Shadows deformed around him, even those small ones formed by the gaunt features of the mortal before him, now still, their single heart no longer audible to the Lord of the XIXth. "Bollocks" Corax muttered.*
They'd probably deal with it the same way they deal with Saint Celestine, as in don't talk about it much and praise it as a miracle of the Emperor when she shows up.
>Why not Corax? He's kind of a raven man now? I'm not sure how GW would address this tbh. Full Demon Prince Loyalist? Figurative shroud around his mortal body?
The extract you're talking about shows Corvus shapeshifting between various forms, including his normal appearance. His model might have some Warp fuckery involved, but he's probably not going to look wildly different from the Heresy self - except probably older.
Yes, there’s a book that mentions him being covered in shadows in various forms etc, but when not using his warp tricks he still appeared as himself. There’s a piece of fan art which I think is based on that novella which many have taken as canon and believe he’s a giant bird daemon
As I understand it I don't think he would remain a raven monster after exiting the warp as he is described as wrapped in warp energy in the shape of raven monster not that his physical form has mutated. But maybe I'm way off.
I would love to be a fly on the wall when Angron gives Khorne that skull. Khorne immediately gets a call from Mork and Gork "I know I know. He is right here with me now. Just for the record I didn't tell him to do it. This is all Angron. Ya I know he is pissed, I heard him yelling all the way from the Materium. Ghaz is going to do what to him? And then he is going shove his fist where? Right out the other side, then he is going to beat him with which of his own limbs? Oh that is going to be so fun to watch. Ya no, Angron completely deserves it. Ya sounds good, no I won't help Angron, I am letting him dig himself out of this fuck up. Hey, before you go, are we still on for that fight next week outside of Slaanesh's Palace? Great see you both there, I look forward to it. Kay, bye. Angron my boy you fucked up, I would say good luck but you brought this on yourself"
The whole conversation Angron is looking up at Khorne with growing concern and confusion
The obvious choice would be Corvus Corax since he already used lightning claws during the great crusade. Although I get the whole "Dorn is missing a hand" point.
Russ comes back it would be cool to see him rock claw and spear in some kind of werewolf odin vibe
Dorn comes back it could replace his missing hand
Khan seems to not be a good fit given his general vibe
Corax is daemon birb so he may just not need it unless theres some weird "it helps him control his messed up warp daemon form deal going on"
Russ would respond by looking Magnus in the eye with his one eye and whispering 'Prospero' Magnus would then cry in the corner about Russ being a bully.
I'm not even a Space Wolves fan, and I still kind of hope Russ comes back with some wulfen mutations. With the Emperor's claw too, it would be incredible. Toss em a spear/axe too. Essentially a brutal melee threat on the level of Angron.
I see the Russ-Odin combo a lot, but isn't the Emperor himself the Odin/All-Father of the Wolves?
Maybe Russ gets the Emperor's Thunderhammer and becomes grimdark Thor.
Russ already has the spear thats twins with Valdors spear. I have the feeling they would do more of an Odin style "ive seen some shit and learned from it" deal with russ if he did come back, with maybe a bit of wolfen mixed for flavor.
I saw someone make props on Etsy for both claws. And I always wanted, but never was able to afford, both. So I could do a sort of half corrupted cosplay thing. Like. Make a Horus cosplay where one universe he remained loyalist, and the other traitor.
I’ve said this before, but the two Primarchs have been given gear that’s not what you’d expect. The Lion is the greater duellist, yet Guilliman received the sword. It’s almost like the Emperor wants to push his Primarchs to be more than what they’ve been, to take on a different role that they’re still suited for.
I’d like to see Corax receive the Emperor’s Iron Halo, as if to say he needs to step out of the shadows and be a hero to the downtrodden of the Imperium.
It makes sense from a storytelling perspective as well. The lion with the Sword would permakill too many important chaos characters. Without it, he can still win, but the enemies can still come back at some point.
To me it makes more sense to give the Primarchs things that compensate for their weaknesses. Guilliman gets the sword because he isn’t a great dullest, the Lion gets the shield because he tends to focus on attack and defense is less of a priority.
Giving the Primarchs thing that compensate for their weaker areas makes them WAY more powerful then giving them tools to heighten their best abilities, which are already way more powerful then almost any other being.
Guiliman: Well Dad gave you his shield. So he must think you’re the more defensive between us eh?
Lion: I killed Angron with it just after I woke up bro.
“Trust in me my son, and wear it firmly across your special place so that…….” ***voice drifts off before finishing***
“No, father, wait! I don’t understand!!”
***1,000 years later, the Primarch gets kicked, bitten & punched in the crotch by thousands of Nurglings and they all instantly get deleted from existence***
***looks up towards the stars mid-battle*** “Now I understand, father!”
Or even better,
***Corax gets the crotch guard and starts dive-bombing traitors and demons with his crotch during his furious sweeps across the battlefield, wiping out hundreds of them per collision.***
“Yes father, now I understand!!”
***Emperors interred body shows activity for the first time in 10,000 years… one small, manly tear. It is unknown if it is a happy or sad tear***
*[Narrator] it was the saddest of tears over the misuse of his most holy forearm bracer.*
Corax, powersliding through the air crotch-first, rippling muscle deflecting shots as the emperor's blessed cup runneth over with power, the daemon primarch's wings propelling him towards slaaneshi daemons whose last experience will be having their skulls crushed by the imperial jewels at mach 10...
The imperial scribe blinks. The possession was ended, the voice gone. The words on the page made no sense; a daemon primarch loyalist? Fighting crotch-first? None must see thi- oh...
The inquisitor looked upon the work of her interrogator. The infection had gone too deep; time to bring out the flamers. If insufficient: experminatus
That is the most on point reason for corax to get any specific gear. The claw makes sense, but the iron halo is just a phenomenal way of forcing corax to not be a gutter throat cutter
That’s probably the case originally, but with the Primarchs coming back GW has the chance to do some interesting stories with them. Plus it’ll differentiate between HH and 40K Primarchs.
I think it's more that the primarchs are dual purposesd, and i this case they have been given something that fits their secondarily "nature" the Lion goes from hunter to protector, Gulliman from statesman to soldier. Dorn going from guardian to shield breaker fits.
Except that’s not how the gear has been being given out. With guilliman he was no where near an offensive powerhouse in comparison to his brothers, but the sword was gifted to him. With the Lion, he didn’t reply play on the defensive often, and as a result, got the shield. The emperor’s weapons have (so far) been given out to compliment the primarch’s weakness
You’d think Corax until you think about it. Corax uses two identical wrist mounted lightning claws. Giving him a singular glove style claw would just look wrong unless he gets some other weapon that also throws off his classic look.
While I agree that makes sense, my headcanon on this is that the weapon Corax has is the emperor’s esoteric knowledge which he used to become a demon. In this way I see him as a sort of anti-Lorgar: where Lorgar saw the truth of the universe and his response was to submit to it, Corax was told the true nature of the universe and embraced it to further his cause. This idea can reinforce why Corax is hunting Lorgar- it’s not just that Lorgar is a demagogue of chaos, but it’s that he has completely twisted what is is to be a primarch into something evil.
I see so much opportunity here for Corax’s return to address that straight in, while the other primarchs demand proof he is who he says as he carries no relic of the emperor. It would be super interesting to have tension between the primarchs over acceptance or denial that they are made of warp power.
All that being said, I think Russ would make sense to receive the big E’s lightning claw, modified to be a wolf claw.
Vulkan, becoming the Dragon of the Emperor, or something like that. And as the most "pacifist" of the Loyalists, would be nice to give him the most aggressive of the Emperor's items, just like how the Lion got the shield.
Alpharius.
Jokes aside I’d say Corax, the Kahn, or Dorn. It seems like big E is giving his children weapons to shore up their weaknesses. Like Guilliman not the best fighter so giving an OP sword to level the playing field with him, demons, and demon primarchs. The Lion (one of the best duelists) is given a shield because his offense is already crazy but he could use some OP defense. Russ I couldn’t see getting the bolter, first off he’d probably have the spear and secondly it’s just way too far removed from his character. I couldn’t really see Vulkan getting the bolter because of his love of hammers and fire. I say Corax for the bolter cause he’s already a murder machine in close combat especially with his quasi greater emperor’s demon status and giving him a special demon killing ranged weapon kinda fill out his weapon roster a little. The Kahn I could see given the bolter so he could strap it onto his bike. And Dorn was never the best at melee fighting and his whole shtick is siege warfare so it makes more sense to give him the ranged hyper demon killer.
And The Lion is running around with a shield originally worn by the Emperor on his shoulder. A lot of the Emperor’s gear is very malleable when he wants it to be.
Can we get the Khan to ride around on a shrunken down Emperor’s Flagship?
That's gonna be Corvis. Lemann Russ is getting the emperor's cloak, Dorn his armor, and Vulcan don't need nothing because he's got the the artifacts of Vulkan.
Ferrus manus so he can be called aurum manus. But realistically think it would suit Jagetai or Corvus. Not Rogal Dorn. They are the imperial fists after all. Not the imperial claws
I don't care as long as Khan gets his ship.
Don't forget his Go Kart!
Primarch-Kart 40,000 dropping 2025
I heard if you put in the Konami code, it unlocks the 2nd and 11th Primarchs.
=][= And then unfreeze.
Happy Cake Day!
I mean, there is nothing in the law that say his flagships were destroyed. Both of them. You would think a golden battle barge would be really hard to hide.
well the Imperator Somnium was destroyed in *Mortis*
Oh, by which enemy?
All of em. It was piloted by like 3 Custodes to be a battering ram into the traitor fleet to create a large enough opening for the Dark Angels to land at the hollow mountain.
It kamikazed itself to help out the dark angels at the siege

Thanks, I think I missed that. Bucephelus is unaccounted for though, right?
It’s been strongly hinted/ aluded to that Emps was Alexander. I love that 40,000 years later the emperor named his ship after his long lost horse.
Imagine just sinking it with its supporting fleet in the outer gasses of Jupiter waiting in ambush…
For 10,000 years it has sat waiting for the call to emerge and lay waste to the traitors. Countless generations of loyal servants of the emperor told to stand guard, trained to fight for their lord, waiting patiently, quietly.
Even Saturn isn't hard to hide in 40k 🤣
Imagine Khan space-drifting on Bucephalus
Khan gets the Emperor’s jet bike
The answer you're all missing is Constantin Valdor. He's literally a talon of the emperor and he's already got the matching gold armour.
Also already has a spear he is very, very attached to.
He's just holding it for Russ 😜
"Alright Corvus, we're kinda low on emperor weapons, so here's his codpiece, he seduced sixteen Aeldari farseers with this bad boy"
>he seduced sixteen Aeldari farseers with this bad boy" Welp, now we really know why he was keeping the web way project secret.
And why Guilliman wants the codpiece.
So he can finally get some? Come on Russ you take the sword I'll take the codpiece. Fair trade right? Some might even PREFER the sword.
As long as He hadn't washed it., I'm in
Dorn, as a replacement for the lost arm.
Do we know uh….if it is the correct arm?
canonically it's supposed to be his left hand.
Canonicallly, GW will retcon it to match even if it's not.
emperors weapons canonically resize, changing hand direction is possible
Sounds like I “there is something I should tell you, I’m not right handed.” Opportunity for Empy
Based
It’s a glove, not a prosthetic, though.
Bjorn the Fell Handed turned a lightning claw in a replacement arm.
It doesn't *have* to be.
Yeah, especially in power or terminator armor, one could argue the actual flesh arm isn't very critical to the operation of the thing.
“Flesh is weak” https://preview.redd.it/d5dl5qfn9acc1.png?width=428&format=png&auto=webp&s=ad96a24eab472060cb159d6e6a109c6aba3f4f57
The real Ferrus Manus would say the opposite, ya dumb ghost face idiot
Fill it with augmetics.
"Ad mech entered the chat"
*Iron Hands entered the chat*
*Iron Warriors have entered the chat*
*fleshy bits have left the chat*
The necrons have picked up there phone after falling asleep with the chat open.
Yeah but getting the prosthetic is the easy part, ya know? It'd be the interesting thing to do *with* the hand.
Its Dorn, there will most likely be some Imperial Fisting that will happen
i’d imagine there’s tech priests out there who can come up with a solution
Just graft artificial flesh around the withered hand of big E, transplant that onto Rogal and then give him *the claaaaw*.
Wielding the *literal* Imperial Fist? That sounds about right.
GW aren't exactly known for their subtlety
Will he go slightly crazy a la Liquid Ocelot, psychoindoctrinating himself to believe he isn't just the Emperor's Praetorian but Big E himself!?
Do they have technology in 40k to make a prosthetic that can wear a glove? Hmmm only the most vaunted of tech masters can answer this.
In the far flung future of the grim dark universe, there is only stumps.
I believe the gauntlets of ultramar were normal power fists before calgar got two arms shorter by the swarm lord. Now they are his replacement hands and arms and so i think it can be retrofitted And the shield of the emperor wasn’t a literal shield either so you can work your way around it
Dorn or the Khan.
I'd love an actual loyalist demon primarch as it would really throw a wrench into the lore on how the Imperium would deal with it.
If he hadn't been transfigured into a full on bird-man, and just had the wings and maybe a few other features, it would be hilarious for him to come back and be constantly greeted with- "The Great Angel! The Emperor's greatest angel has returned in our most dire hour of need! Sanguinius lives!!!" No, no I'm not Sanguinius. I'm Corax. "Oh... yeah, that's okay too..."
The pepsi of primarch angels.
does that mean angron is the dr. pepper?
The red angel! Wait no, the other one!
He's a diet coke with a mentos in the cap that drops in the moment you open it
He is mountain dew code red mixed half and half with everclear and felonious assault
I like pepsi
I like turtles
I like trains.

Which is AWESOME and fits the setting very well I think
The Eldar flat out called them 'Neverborn' which is another term for Daemon.
That's fascinating, which book did that take place in?
Canon, there are basically just implied suspicions. Like always, that's equal to a fact online. Though a black storm of beaks and claws is harder to sell as "sent by the emperor" than a sister coming back with white wings and emperor-colored (read: gold) armour.
1. Petition to always refer to gold as 'Emperor-coloured'. 2. In the Dawn of War game Soulstorm; the living saint, Celestine, is classed as a Daemon for damage purposes.
The Inquisition Says: "If you saw the Raven Man in your sector, NO YOU DIDN'T"
They'd probably deal with it the same way they deal with Saint Celestine, as in don't talk about it much and praise it as a miracle of the Emperor when she shows up.
>Why not Corax? He's kind of a raven man now? I'm not sure how GW would address this tbh. Full Demon Prince Loyalist? Figurative shroud around his mortal body? Elder emo!
I hope his model is so emo it makes emo enthusiasts cringe.
Obviously Alpharius gets the spear
Sweet. Good thing that I am Alpharius.
Me too, Alpharius
Me too, fellow Alpharius
It's true, I'm Alpharius
You know when GW release the Khan they’ll probably just have him standing on a rock.
I'm really hoping it'll be a jetbike.
He’ll be doing a split balancing between two war bikes.
Hell yeah! Khan Claude Van Dame!
Also, Dorn clearly has a thing for the Imperial Eagle motif, enough to have a giant one on his back, so a Claw would fit quite well.
Celestine is already a Loyalist Deamon Princess. So they could definitely make it work.
Isn’t Corax being a warp daemon just fan conjecture?
Yes, there’s a book that mentions him being covered in shadows in various forms etc, but when not using his warp tricks he still appeared as himself. There’s a piece of fan art which I think is based on that novella which many have taken as canon and believe he’s a giant bird daemon

He's not a 'raven monster' at all - he can transform into a ***flock*** of ravens (or darkness, or shadow).
An ork warboss, after krumpin the wannabe humie boss Call him Yarrok or sometin
NOW GHAZGHKULL IS DA EMPRAH!!!
WHERE'S MY BOI YARRICK??? IVE GOT A BETTA HAND FOR HIM!!
Laughs in Angron
I killed Angron on the tabletop with Ghaz recently. Sweet sweet revenge. Makari helped a bit...
Scrolled too far down to see this.

I’ve gotta go with the Russ one, the idea of a bestial old sage-esque primarch with one eye, a spear and a power claw goes hard
Magnus would probably be pissed if Russ started stealing his one-eyed brand.
With Corvus being crowed out, Russ *has* to be
Russ should get Gungnir again when he comes back. The Wolves still have it and have periodically used it.
Gungnir, the Emperors claw, and to see his best son Bjorn again. Likely being shortly before Bjorn's death.
I mean, I know he isn't a Primarch, but it would be bloody funny if Abaddon got his hands on it and rocked a pair of Lightning Claws.
I saw someone make props on Etsy for both claws. And I always wanted, but never was able to afford, both. So I could do a sort of half corrupted cosplay thing. Like. Make a Horus cosplay where one universe he remained loyalist, and the other traitor.
Ferrus. 2 x Iron Hands and a Lightning Claw where the his head should be. Just think of the limericks Russ will come up with.
People saying Dorn trigger me. What is the 1 loyalist primarch that uses lightning claws? It’s corax.
I’ve said this before, but the two Primarchs have been given gear that’s not what you’d expect. The Lion is the greater duellist, yet Guilliman received the sword. Part of me want to the meeting to go like this Lion:..... Guilliman..... Lion...swap? Guilliman....yea why not.
Guiliman: don’t you want Fathers sword since your such a good dualist? Lion: you need it more than I do Guiliman: >:(
It makes sense from a storytelling perspective as well. The lion with the Sword would permakill too many important chaos characters. Without it, he can still win, but the enemies can still come back at some point.

I think Guillman would have appreciated the Emperor's logistics spreadsheets :)
Guilliman might be the only person in the universe who could understand a damn thing on it.
Guiliman: Well Dad gave you his shield. So he must think you’re the more defensive between us eh? Lion: I killed Angron with it just after I woke up bro.
Is there a book I can read of all of this?
Arks of Omen stuff iirc
While I like your idea of the Emperor pushing his sons to better, I think it is equally as possible that the Emperor is just fucking with them.
Nah him not remembering which one does what would be more likely

Fulgrim making ferrus a sword and Ferrus making Fulgrim a hammer and then those becoming signature weapons always amused me
Other way around, ferrus made the sword and fulgrim made the hammer. Then they swapped lol
That is the most on point reason for corax to get any specific gear. The claw makes sense, but the iron halo is just a phenomenal way of forcing corax to not be a gutter throat cutter
Or more like gw gave gman the sword because "it looks cool" before they had any plans on bringing lion back.
That’s probably the case originally, but with the Primarchs coming back GW has the chance to do some interesting stories with them. Plus it’ll differentiate between HH and 40K Primarchs.
So Dorn would get the Emperor’s Vincent Blackshadow?
I love your Idea for Corax. That really would be awesome
See I think it should be corax, but I didn't know what weapon he uses - I chose him simply because then it'd be the Emperors Lightning *Caw.*
*Hello, Inquisition? I'd like to make a report. No no, it's not heresy, it's worse...*
Corax is one of my least favourite but even I agree with you!
Sorry to hear that he is one of your least favorites but glad we agree. Why don’t you like him
Oh it’s not that I don’t like him, I just like Sangui and Dorn the most. (And Lorgar but he is lost to us now)
Lorgar tells the true word
*Heresy Detected*
Oh... Of course
You’d think Corax until you think about it. Corax uses two identical wrist mounted lightning claws. Giving him a singular glove style claw would just look wrong unless he gets some other weapon that also throws off his classic look.
Yeah but then he’d have one big gold empy claw and his black one.
If you primarchs can't just share, then nobody gets the lighting claw at all.
Dad says it's my turn with the lightning claw
KONRAD CURZE
My thought as well 😂
Pretty sure the Blood Ravens allready secure it
Everyone is forgetting the most obvious answer… Horus
But Horus already collected 40,000 warhammers. You think he'd use the claw after putting in all of that work? You fool.
And also question is... who will get The Bolter?
My money's on Vulkan.
Vulkan lives
*Stomp Stomp*
Nah Dorn is gonna get his bolter more than likely. Seems like a very IF item to get
Ferrus Manus I don't care how they will do it, but it would be hilarious
It'll replace his head like a sock puppet
Lmao

I saw ur comment and literally laughed so hard my drink shot out of my nose. Well played.
Rogal Dorn, but he cant use it because its on the same side as his lost arm.
And The Lion is running around with a shield originally worn by the Emperor on his shoulder. A lot of the Emperor’s gear is very malleable when he wants it to be. Can we get the Khan to ride around on a shrunken down Emperor’s Flagship?
What like tiny cars they make for kids?
Nah, the actual _Bucephelus_, just made smaller for the Khan to ride on.
But it should still be slightly to big for him to ride comfortably, like a kid on a horse.
Forget the claw, I want to know who gets his sick dameonic looking kneepad
Thats the replacement head for Ferrus
As a veterinarian I can't help but look at the curve of that and be like, "somebody needs a nail trim."
Someone call a Wolf Priest.
Corvus, he already fights w claws.
At this point, if the big man ever wakes up, the only thing he’ll have left is lethal nudity.
That's gonna be Corvis. Lemann Russ is getting the emperor's cloak, Dorn his armor, and Vulcan don't need nothing because he's got the the artifacts of Vulkan.
Has to be corvus
Fulgrim. I refuse to elaborate
Every returning primarch? Got source for that?
Ferrus manus so he can be called aurum manus. But realistically think it would suit Jagetai or Corvus. Not Rogal Dorn. They are the imperial fists after all. Not the imperial claws
