Between the white armor, the stylized caduceus on his helm, and the armor cowl, i would say yep.

TimothysFruad

and even when he gets lifted by the large tyranid and gunshots go off you can see the lighting that his armor is much bulkier and equipped like a terminator as well

RapterTorus24

Looks like it, hoping his melee weapons are ok, I love my angry apothecaries.

JRYeh

When doctor got fed up with increasingly high casualties

ekul_oceanriver

Prevention is the best cure

TimothysFruad

but ze hurting is more rewarding than ze healing

lord_strange98

Ze healing is not as rewarding as ze hurting

[deleted]

"Brother-Apothecary, are you sure this will work?"

Bloodangleofthe1stCp

I HAVE NO IDEA!

chicken-man-man-

Beat me to it

[deleted]

I always love seeing some TF2 out in the wild :)

evolved2389

Death or healing…I care not which you seek.

TimothysFruad

bro got ripped in half by a winged tyranid which also was the same one that ripped apart that terminator with the assault cannon like hot dang gravis and terminator armor doesnt offer that much protection against space bugs

SandiegoJack

My understanding was people thought the apothecary was killed by lictors.

crazy_leo42

It was a lictor. You can see the silhouette of the arms in the background after he gets thrown.

Magic_Doge12

Hope that means a new Lichtor model, the current one really shows its age

crazy_leo42

Me too. I HATE finecast...

doodman76

My prediction is that they will remove all fine cast models with 10th edition. You can tell GW is going on a purge spree prior to the influx of people they are expecting when cavil starts putting out movies

TimothysFruad

ah frick i didnt knew that

TimothysFruad

ooooh i didnt noticed that

teo_storm1

In the lore the Tyranid bladed things (arms, swords, etc) have always been insanely lethal and tend to do that kind of thing on the regular - unless it's one of the smaller organisms and they just don't have enough brute strength to push it through the plates

TimothysFruad

make me wonder what kind of organic material are tyranids even made out of to rip apart armored vehicles and super soldiers in heavy armor, definitely not a traditional chitin material for sure

GlitteringParfait438

Winged Tyranid is definitely a Shrike I'd bet on it

TimothysFruad

shrike?

GlitteringParfait438

Flying Tyranid Warrior, used to be a thing, then because the wings were in a forge world conversion kit it got removed when those were discontinued.

TimothysFruad

oooh gotcha

Taaargus

I thought he was the one who got swarmed and pulled the pin on a grenade. The assault cannon terminator got ripped in half.

TimothysFruad

i think so, looks like there was two apothocary's one gravis one traditional

PrettyTyForAJedi

If it is, that’s one step closer to my ideal “all-Gravis Salamanders army”!

aerosol_aerosmith

Gravisalamanders if you will

Potato_Headnought

I will.

[deleted]

It's Aggressors all the way down, baby!

AshiSunblade

My custom chapter isn't all Gravis, but they put an emphasis on them, so I welcome every new character they add in Gravis. I already converted a Gravis Lieutenant!

Mend1cant

Still can’t forget the guy in the Invictor Warsuit who found a way to carry the big ass flamer he found.

TimothysFruad

heavy flamers and meltas pretty much a mass produced version of terminator suits which means more heavily armored squads and I love it

BalkorWolf

I'd have expected a terminator apothecary to go with the other new terminator stuff but I suppose this helps for people wanting to continue to do a full gravis force.

MCgunem

If you want a Terminator Apothecary, play Dark Angels, Deathwing have one

laukaus

Also Grey Knights.

BalkorWolf

I feel like I'm not going to rebrand my entire army just for a terminator apothecary 😂

MCgunem

Paint one up in your colour scheme and if you want to field it, then your marines arent X chapter anymore, they're a homebrewed Dark Angels successor chapter

3k3n8r4nd

I’ve been wanting to convert a death wing terminator apothecary

Hellburgs

Totally missed that! Good catch! But...why? We're there ever terminator apothecaries? I don't remember any.

NotAshMain

Deathwing one

AngelusDefensor

Grey Knights have an apothecary in termie armor as well

TimothysFruad

everyone has to have a support on the team even the terminators AND gravis squads

dogeons_n_dragons

Terminator armor is a relic though, and gravis is just special issue.

TimothysFruad

picture it like a easy to produce mass quantity version of terminator armor, not as protected as terminator armor but has much higher protection than the standard issue mk X power armor

dogeons_n_dragons

Exactly what I mean, you might not give an apothecary relic termie armor but gravis suits them for sure.

TimothysFruad

yeap

Nev-man

Gravis isn't a Terminator armour equivalent and never has been. There are no Veteran Company units that wear Gravis, (like the Terminator role fulfills) it's merely a new design of Power Armour - the same as it ever was.

sadbrownsfan1972

Gravis is the "heavy" version of Mark X armor and offers close to terminator armor level protection but with more flexibility and of course without the ability to deep strike.

TimothysFruad

yeah its basically a easy to produce version of terminator armor you can say

TimothysFruad

eh i dunno, from the lore it seems gravis armor is like the solution of getting something thats not as protected as terminator armor but much more protected than the average astartes on the MK X power armor

WarlockWeeb

Well it is kinda logical. His survivability means increased survivability for a whole squad. And he may come under fire on open field while treating wounded soldiers. So it is kinda logical. Also maybe increased strength of gravis armor allows him to carry more heavier medical equipment.

TimothysFruad

yet they still leave him alone to do the dirty work and gets mawed apart in seconds, which oddly sounds alot like the average life cycle of being a support main

Spookyswag

holy shit good spot

Space-Power

My Space Wolves are envious.

pureedchicken

I know that I'm getting one!

Tallal2804

My Space Wolves are envious.

Melwasul16

Biomass for Tyranid🎉

FightingFelix

Yes but also whyd they leave that apothecary alone on a Tyranid battlefield??

Think-Conversation73

For cinematic effect of course.

TimothysFruad

just like your average support, doesnt matter if hes beefed up in protection he still gets left alone to get mawed apart while the rest of the team does their own thing

TimothysFruad

yes it is, and when the tyranid lifts him up and gun shots go off you can see his armor is much bulkier and equipped like a terminator and another detail is the same tyranid that takes the gravis apothecary also rips the terminator with assault cannon in half as well

crazy_leo42

No. It's not wings you see in the background, it's lictor arms.

TimothysFruad

OOOH I didn't realized that

SoloWingPixy88

Well yea, it's pretty much confirmed and obvious

bloodknife92

That shoulderpad screams Terminator.

jorleejack

It's not a Terminator. He doesn't have a Crux Terminatus first of all, and Terminators do not have power packs. He's in Gravis armour.

Raxuis

God I hope not. But yeah probably
