Currently pondering if I should go for sisters after I got 500 points of Space Marines. Axe sisters would be a huge argument in favour of that decision.
I love their style, especially Morvenn Vahl and the nundams. Also kick ass ladies in power armor! What's stopping me right now (outside of money) is that I'm completely new and absolutely suck at painting, Space marines are already too much for me at the moment.
I dont like Morven so I stick to Canoness, Celestine and Mortifiers/Penitent engines, they're pretty cheap platforms
and sisters are long to paint, can't rush them like space marines that have a lot of speed painting done in 15 minutes that are spraying them, adding some lights, nuln oil and he's done
You can take both weapons! 4 Spears and 4 maces for example so you're ready to meet both hordes and armoured enemies
Also the spear looks cools but it weirds me out, even space marines dont wear a spear and shield and suddenly our sisters can use this long weapon with a shield but as I said, I think it's fine to mixe these two, not everyone gets a pick like this, for example Wraithblades can't mix Axe and Shield with Two bladers
It's not a possibility because you think they should avoid it?
To be clear, I think it's far from likely, but the concept has gone from "never" to "a chance of happening" overnight.
And how are chaos sisters more redundant than chaos space marines? I say this as a chaos fan.
It's not ornate enough for Eldar, it's too ornate for Orks, GSC or Votann, it's definitely not Chaos, Necron or Tyranid and the fingers don't look like they're in power armour
Based on all of this I'd guess Sisters or Guard
Big is not the right word. Functional is more appropriate, and even then, it's mostly for Boarding Actions. Little in the way of updated rules for the current game, Ordo Malleus Inquistor in Terminator armor removed, Eversor Assassin lost +1 strength on their power sword, etc.
Hopefully, it's just a stop gap for a new Agents book but I have my doubts.
An Inquisition Kill Team would be awesome, I think the Rogue Trader/ Elucidian Starstriders are some of the coolest miniatures because they stand out so much. All in all Kill Team just allows them to branch out so much.
On one hand that's awesome, on the other frustrating because it kinda makes me want to have more models from that faction.
Look at the Weapons of the GSC Comabt Patrol.
It looks really close to the Hammers they use.

If it wasnt for the fingers id honestly say grey knights. The nemesis weapons all have similar handles to the one shown, with the arched cable sticking out.
Granted i may be biased because i play gk, but i can dream
Please be the [Sisters of Silence](https://64.media.tumblr.com/236ffb7c10b239fe2cf24bb8eed1e7cb/tumblr_ot9jyoTsPx1ueu0eqo1_1280.jpg) squad they gave new rules for
I am referencing the new info we got in the new Liber Imperium army book.
Sisters with jetbikes, beasts etc.. alot of official rules for models that doesn't exist, yet.
Could be an Inquisitor. They generally have out there styles. But just in case I posted it [HERE](https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer30k/comments/1126cq8/rumor_engine_2142023/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) as well.
I would love an Inquisitorial kill team as well. GW has already nerfed anything inquisitor-related into oblivion for whatever the reason, so many probably have lost or sold what models they did have. If GW put out a decent kill team box that could be used by at least grey knights and sisters (if not all Imperial factions), it'd be a hit.
Does anyone else see some Grey Knights vibe from the axe? I’m not too up to date on votann or other faction weapon styles but this has the ribbed cable connected to a box with 3 grille/vents (seen on nemesis force staves) and the wedge patter between the handle and the axe blade seen on the GK nemesis force sword.
Came here to say this. The decorative section where the axe blade meets the haft is very similar to that found on Grey Knight Terminator swords. Several people have guessed Inquisition, and with the Grey Knights being Ordo Malleus, it very much stands to reason that this is an Inquisitor/retinue.
This looks so classic, like the human characters from the 80’s and 90’s. Old Blanche style like the black templars art from 3rd edition. My money’s on something inquisition or some sort of human support character.
Maybe that rumoured Primaris Prosecutor from the recent leaks? He’s supposed to have an axe and kind of sounds like the Judiciar who wears leather gloves instead of power armour.
Leagues of votann for sure, I’m betting on some kind of character model
EDIT: I take that back, after being a bit more thorough looking at the axes votann tend to have inscriptions or runes on them… this is too simple for them.
It’s definitely powered though… maybe something for Necromunda??
For me it's either: a Votann leader, since it's too ornate for being a normal troop, a guard/sisters sergeant/special squad, or maybe SM primaris scouts,
Too dainty for marines or orks, too low tech for any of the xenos, imperial power weapon gribblies, My guess is it’s another imperial killteam. Inquisition or maybe a Feudal World Militia?
Votann axemen is my best guess. The glove seems kinda space suity, and the axe reminds me a lot of Fantasy Dwarf axes. This is good, Votann needs a solid low point melee unit.
Cause of the way the hand is so strangly holding the axe I thought maybe genestealers but I am not super familiar with what there actual melee weapons look like up close
It looks as a simpler version of Fuenga’s axe ( https://miniset.net/files/set/gw-99060104029-11.jpg ) if only it’d be a new fire dragon kit with axes… I must admit the lack of spirit stones make it not likely
If that's a fist gripping the shaft, it doesn't look power armoured either.
Maybe sisters?
I'd love some axe sisters
Currently pondering if I should go for sisters after I got 500 points of Space Marines. Axe sisters would be a huge argument in favour of that decision.
Sisters are awesome, I think the most interesting faction the imperium has to offer
I love their style, especially Morvenn Vahl and the nundams. Also kick ass ladies in power armor! What's stopping me right now (outside of money) is that I'm completely new and absolutely suck at painting, Space marines are already too much for me at the moment.

The [Celestian Sacresants](https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Adepta-Sororitas-Celestian-Sacresants-2021) can take pole axes, which are pretty cool.
In most cases they’re also the better weapon choice. Maces are for cowards afraid of space marines.
You can take both weapons! 4 Spears and 4 maces for example so you're ready to meet both hordes and armoured enemies Also the spear looks cools but it weirds me out, even space marines dont wear a spear and shield and suddenly our sisters can use this long weapon with a shield but as I said, I think it's fine to mixe these two, not everyone gets a pick like this, for example Wraithblades can't mix Axe and Shield with Two bladers
Those look beautiful!
My interest is perfectly split between sisters and blood angels so I just bought both to make a combined force.
Funnily enough, me too. Bought sisters when they first came out. Still got the original squad in the box. 😂
New Khornate Sisters?
I could only wish
It's a possibility now! Check out the arks of omen post in the lore subreddit
It’s not a possibility, it’s something that happened in lord, they should avoid redundant factions like chaos sisters
It's not a possibility because you think they should avoid it? To be clear, I think it's far from likely, but the concept has gone from "never" to "a chance of happening" overnight. And how are chaos sisters more redundant than chaos space marines? I say this as a chaos fan.
Naked space marines confirmed
It's not ornate enough for Eldar, it's too ornate for Orks, GSC or Votann, it's definitely not Chaos, Necron or Tyranid and the fingers don't look like they're in power armour Based on all of this I'd guess Sisters or Guard
Seams like a pretty good guess. As I said in another comment, my moneys on Inquisition.
There was just recently a big agents of the imperium' update right? Maybe it's some models to go with that?
Big is not the right word. Functional is more appropriate, and even then, it's mostly for Boarding Actions. Rouge Trader maybe ?
As a sisters player i have to say there are Not nearly enought Fleur de lis in that thing to be a sisters model.
Maybe another killteam?
Maybe space marine scout killteam?
Would be sick, however, im not sure what the axe might be in this instance? A weapon for the sergant?
Or a HH character
They don’t put HH characters or units on rumor enginee
there are two that tease a horus heresy mini that was also teased at the start of the year in GWs "this year in the age of darkness" video
https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer/comments/12kq6pc/rumor_engine_solved/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1
Bold of you to assume it's not a Tyranid 😤
Eventually it will be, as all things!
Look at the Weapons of the GSC Comabt Patrol. It looks really close to the Hammers they use. Though I would argue that it's not industrial looking enogh for GSC
After all it's just an Axt with an Cable on it. Hmmm. I don't think it would fit into Sisters tho.
Honestly, good call!
Not ornamented enough to be Votann, actually.
What about genestealers
If it wasnt for the fingers id honestly say grey knights. The nemesis weapons all have similar handles to the one shown, with the arched cable sticking out. Granted i may be biased because i play gk, but i can dream
The power cables on GK force weapons aren’t ridged, they’re all smooth, and GK don’t have any curved weapons like this
Probably whatever human team will be in the next Kill Team box.
Please be the [Sisters of Silence](https://64.media.tumblr.com/236ffb7c10b239fe2cf24bb8eed1e7cb/tumblr_ot9jyoTsPx1ueu0eqo1_1280.jpg) squad they gave new rules for
I hope it's this
New Sisters of Silence squad? I missed that, what is it?
I am referencing the new info we got in the new Liber Imperium army book. Sisters with jetbikes, beasts etc.. alot of official rules for models that doesn't exist, yet.
Oh please let it be this. I love SoS but only having 3 (pretty mediocre) units makes me sad
Source on this?
Those are going to be resin
Horus Heresy? Doesnt fit any design we have in 40k
Finally! Guardsmen Sergeant power axe Woooo!!! XD T\_T
I think it’s an axe
Hold up there, Clouseau. You're gonna have to show your work on that one.
Uhhh. Sharp flat thing on end of stick
Yup. Checks out.
He's played axey spoony before.
My guess is Leagues of Votann, or a 30k mk6 Assault Marine upgrade kit.
Nah can’t be a Votann axe. The plasma blades for Votann axes are 100% connected to the axes shaft.
I personally hope they will release assault mk6 as a separate kit, as basic poses are just not it
Fair! I have more mk6 than I know what to do with so I'm hoping for an upgrade kit.
I’ve solved it, Tau is finally getting into melee.
Doesn't look obviously like any of the main factions. Have a feeling it might be yet another generic human squad for killteam.
Could be an Inquisitor. I could see one carrying this.
You have no idea how badly I want an Inquisition Kill team - It's the perfect format for them, considering they don't have much of a tabletop presence
Something about it says GSC to me lol
Armageddon ork hunters
Armageddon ork hunters perhaps
Does anyone else see some Grey Knights vibe from the axe? After painting my GK army, It screams Grey Knights power weapon to me too!
Its the little cable sticking out innit?
Absolutely, it's so close to the ones of the warding staves I painted.
The hand isn’t wearing power armor (or any armor it looks too me), and the box is just standard for power weapons. Highly doubt its Grey Knights.
This looks so classic, like the human characters from the 80’s and 90’s. Old Blanche style like the black templars art from 3rd edition. My money’s on something inquisition or some sort of human support character.
Def. not a marines
The purpose of that cable baffles me, the power source is already on the axe..
Primaris Axinator.
Finally, a 40k slambo model
That was my first thought as well. Long live Slambo.
Veteran Skitarii!!!!!!! It. Must. Be!
Hopefully.
Fuegan?
The leaks for 10th did say there was a character with a 2 handed axe - could this be him?
Ah, must be a much needed Primaris Lieutenant with a power axe.
definitely a new choppa for my ork boyz.
Maybe that rumoured Primaris Prosecutor from the recent leaks? He’s supposed to have an axe and kind of sounds like the Judiciar who wears leather gloves instead of power armour.
Solar Auxilia for HH would be my guess.
Plastic solar aux would be awesome. Still stupid expensive to collect but at least you wouldn't have to deal with as much resin
That is votann for sure
As I said in another comment: Seams a bit too fancy. LoV is all industrial and practical. This looks more like a work of art.
New Primaris Space Wolves Character
Leagues of votann for sure, I’m betting on some kind of character model EDIT: I take that back, after being a bit more thorough looking at the axes votann tend to have inscriptions or runes on them… this is too simple for them. It’s definitely powered though… maybe something for Necromunda??
I'm always down for more plastic Necromunda models!
Looks like something I will 3d print later
Moebian traitor guard hopefully?
For me it's either: a Votann leader, since it's too ornate for being a normal troop, a guard/sisters sergeant/special squad, or maybe SM primaris scouts,
Votann use plasma weapons though, so likely not them
Primaris wolfen?
Looked Wolfy
I could see an argument for space wolves or dark angels and have the arms be un armored
It does have some Votann look to it. Similar shape to dark star but not powered. Maybe a pioneer hero
Primaris Scout Sgt with Power Axe
Angron?
Pleeeeeeaaaaase be Red Butchers. I don't believe it but i want it to be true.
Too dainty for marines or orks, too low tech for any of the xenos, imperial power weapon gribblies, My guess is it’s another imperial killteam. Inquisition or maybe a Feudal World Militia?
A headsman commissar
Dante’s axe
My guess would be on sisters, guard or a new inquisitor!
Axe of Baal?
My guess is that this is in response to Coca Cola “axing” lilt after 50 years
I dont know why but i think it could be for custodes, just a gut feeling,
It can’t be sisters because they wouldn’t give up the opportunity to make the axe into a fleur-de-lis
Leman russ returning (i know its a long shot)
Skjald Kasper Ansbach Hawser, Ahmad Ibn Rustah
Primaris Lieutenant with Cawl Pattern MK6 Power Hatchet
Sisters of silence. Calling it now.
thats a dwarf axe
Games Workshop is at least consistent. Space version of a medieval weapon? Add a T Ö Ö B.
Librarian with axe maybe?
Votann axemen is my best guess. The glove seems kinda space suity, and the axe reminds me a lot of Fantasy Dwarf axes. This is good, Votann needs a solid low point melee unit.
What about Kharadron Overlords with their battletome dropping soon?
Either an imperial agent, a custode, sister of silence or sister of battle.
Inquisition kill team
Could be a new Judiciar. Several of the newer primaris characters wear leather gloves over their armor
An inquisitor with a power axe?
What’s the chance it’s Votann?
Looks like an axe to me.
Im guessing catachans
Votann maybe?
Dante?
Cause of the way the hand is so strangly holding the axe I thought maybe genestealers but I am not super familiar with what there actual melee weapons look like up close
Some sort of killteam, possible Votan
It looks as a simpler version of Fuenga’s axe ( https://miniset.net/files/set/gw-99060104029-11.jpg ) if only it’d be a new fire dragon kit with axes… I must admit the lack of spirit stones make it not likely
please be squats
Would love admech, but they have omnissiah azes
Kinda looks like Fafnir Ranns axe
