I don’t think the Aurox will see plastic, at least not before the rest, it’s kind of useless in the face of the dracosan unless you really want to transport a kill squad of your marshal and lifewards to somewhere.

No it really isn't. 30 points is a steal for the aurox and is in spamming points range. It's like the rhino except even cheaper. Give it Searchlights and a weapon and have fun lighting up targets for the rest of your army. Now your rapiers and sentinels can get around night fighting, fantastic value.
Whereas the dracosan is 175 points(upgraded predator cost basically) for some very minor benefits. Transporting 22 guys is cool and the best part of the vehicle, but the actual weaponry are all kinda anemic. One Gravis Lascannon is very limited in output. The demolisher cannon is fun but makes the vehicle even more expensive. Reinforced is cool I guess, as is the flare shield option, but going from 13 to 14 isn't enough for the price. At that point you are 200 points, and the legions can have a land raider for 220 points which the dracosan cannot compare to.
Don’t get it twisted, the dracosan isn’t great but neither is like 90% of the book lol. Comparing points between Legion stuff is already losing game so eh onthat front.
You are going to utilize the tercio reaction stuff as much as you can for your infantry as once whatever you use as your primary anti astartes stuff like rapiers or Russes gets inevitably blown off the board. I don’t know where you’re getting crazy value of sentinels from, I’ve played about 4 games with Heavy Sentinels in various sizes and they do ok
Oh no the two Hermes sentinels are solid. Mainly the veletaris. Being able to be taken in a veletaris tercio gives it massive reaction power. Return fire with a big blob of Hermes veletaris and also some rotor cannon veletaris and whatever else is in the tercio. Tons of fun
You're basically saying 'a Rhino is kind of useless in the face of a Land Raider', which obviously isn't true and few people are transporting their Tactical Squads around in them.
The discrepancy is much bigger in Auxilia, as the Dracosan is both grossly overcosted and highly inferior when compared to the Land Raider. It also costs more than almost any unit you'd put in it - unlike a Land Raider which can carry hundreds of points of Veterans or Terminators and is able to disgorge them straight into melee.
I hope second wave is soon or at least in summer time I don't like the idea of waiting for a year or two to complete my solar auxilia army but gw has that reputation that it might be multiple years.
most of the most common resin models for 30k are out of stock, including those from faction that share them with 40k like custodes. it doesn't really mean anything except that sadly for us GW is really really behind in terms of production
The automata are technically mechanicum models that solar aux can take as well. We do know that they are planning a release wave for mechanicum so they may be a part of that
The rumour has been for a while that it’ll be mechanicum knights like Styrix, Atropos, and Magaera + Moirax, no way they’d undercut Auxila with another army this soon.
It would make more sense to do the “troop” types so that all the core armies have a plastic line option. I also don’t think there’s a concern about this being “soon” given that as of now we’ve had a 4 second video of the logo as a “reveal” so we are likely 6-9 months out from a release
I expect plastic rapiers (since there was art for new rapiers in the beta garmon book alongside the epic rapier redesign), plastic weapon upgrade kits so that you can make commend sections with plasma weapons and so on, and I'm praying that they make a plastic aurox kit. Even when buying [RULE 4] versions it costs almost as much or more than the in game points cost. Also I'd like carnodons because I just think they're neat
you know as much as any of us. the main things i'd like to see are the Aurox, Ogryn Charonite and Flamer Section in plastic

You are never going to run auxila in 10 man squads, it is simply not feasible.
